This post by Ed at Hot Air caused me to wonder if this was just talk without substance as you often hear around campaigns.
[Garry] Mauro said that because it was such a closely contested election, he is mystified as to why the Obama campaign is resisting and even balking at a roll-call vote, according to some reports.
“Are these folks so new to politics, are they so arrogant, that they think he’s different from every other nominee we’ve ever had?” he asks.
Obama himself couldn't possibly be suggesting that he now be "acclaimed," as opposed to being voted upon as the nominee, could he? After a long, close primary?
Why ... yes, yes, he could - via The Christian Science Monitor.
The CSM: "I happen to believe that we will come out stronger if people feel that their voices were heard," Clinton said. "I think that is a very big part of how we actually come out unified, because I know from just what I'm hearing that there's an incredible pent-up desire and I think that people want to feel like, okay, it's a catharsis, we're here, we did it, and then everybody get behind Senator Obama."
Obama appeared cool to the idea of a roll-call vote for Clinton in remarks to reporters on his campaign plane. "I don't think we're looking for catharsis," he said, but added he's leaving the details to the two campaign's teams.
Over 120 years of tradition simply swept aside ... I guess he is The One ... in his own mind, anyway.
Arrogance, much?

I like the comment that the guy made in the linked article;
"It's a nominating convention, not a coronation"
Didn't they get the memo? I guess he won't be invited to the offical coronation at the ballpark. I hear they are going to generate another one of those halos over his head and everything.
Freaking priceless!!

A vote give those super-D's a chance to bolt now that Obama's showing weakness, ineptitude, and unbridled narcissism on an almost daily basis.

All very fascinating. Any word on what that sad little 'old dude' is up to? I know that he is attracting the ardor of 10 year olds, but that's about all I've heard.
