Hillary is in this McCain ad, too. I know it would never happen, but could you imagine the utter meltdown on the Left if Hillary got up, walked out of the Dem convention to meet McCain outside and announce that she was his running mate? Oh, come on - I'm no Hillary fan. But can you think of anything sweeter than the looks on the faces of every major Democrat - let alone the media.
And say what you will, you could call off the election and the Invesco silliness to come. The election would be over. Anyway, check out the latest 3am ad if you haven't seen it. I always loved that "Obama has a speech in 2002" knock. Brutal. Glad to see them pull it out of retirement for this.

...
I can't imagine anything nuttier.
The GOP might as well shoot itself in the head as elevate a socialist like Hillary Clinton from the party of the deranged children, which always puts the interests of the party ahead of the interests of the country, to the party of the adults.

Why Terry, what could you possibly mean by "the party of the deranged children"? Oh, I see. You mean people like these:

Mostly Alex Jones and his unhinged Troofers making too much noise.
MM should have hired a few big bully boy staffers with air horns to drown out that buffoon.

I saw someone mention Colin Powell as McCain's VP. I think that would be a sure fire winner.

And to top it off, is that Biden behind Hillary's shoulder when she is
speaking?

"I saw someone mention Colin Powell as McCain's VP. I think that would be a sure fire winner."
----
You obviously don't know much about Powell. He did nothing to protect the shiites from being massacred by Saddam in 1991 at the end of the Gulf War. He was a very ineffective Secretary of State. And he knew that his deputy, Armitage, had "outed" Plame and yet he stayed silent while Bush and Cheney staffers not only took the heat but faced criminal prosecution.
And he's not a conservative.

I don't foresee McCain going for Colin Powell. Too much of a disconnect between him and many of the Bush I and II neocons.
If I were a betting man, I'd say that it's down to Tim Pawlenty or Mitt Romney. Both are telegenic, reasonably intelligent, and a larger margin of registered R's and indies would not have a great deal of issues with either of them.
Sarah Palin is a smart cookie and could pull in the cougar (erm, PUMA) voters as she runs a bit socially liberal, but defense and (supposedly) fiscally conservative, but would risk angering social conservatives...
But then again, it's not like McMaverick McCain really ever gave a tinker's cuss what PaleoCons or SoCons think.
Mitt is likely the safe bet ala Kennedy/JFK as they might not like each other a great deal, but both are smart enough to recognize that each other's strengths and weaknesses balance out quite fairly, and cover a wider base of likely voters.

At 3 AM, grandpa is busy snoring in one of his 8 (or is it 9 or 10??) abodes. I wonder why such a successful gigolo is so angry?? The old timer has done well for himself!

He's not angry Christine, just concerned that with the MSM in the tank for Obama dummies like you may elect as POTUS a 98 pound weakling who isn't qualified to be Reeve of a village.
He need not fear. This election is unfolding as it should.
