This last bit is the gist of it. I realize the records themselves aren't on line, apparently they haven't converted them to digital. What I don't understand is why they would sit in the Library for two years allegedly without the required permission from someone to make them available. It doesn't add up - not neatly anyway. Add to that Kurtz had permission and now he doesn't --- as I said, that's Clinton-esque.

In 1993 the Annenberg Foundation announced a "Challenge to the Nation" -- a grant of $500 million to support school reform in public schools across the nation. In Chicago, a $49.2 million grant supported a project whereby networks of public schools worked with external partners such as universities, nonprofit organizations, and the Chicago Teacher's Union Quest Center to improve the quality of teaching and the quality of students' work and achievement. Upon completing of the grant project, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge helped to build a successor organization, the Chicago Public Education Fund, which focuses on principal and teacher leadership.
I kept clicking links that should have taken me to the page for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge items on line - then I got this below when clicking here: it has a hyperlink for the CAC records - this may not mean anything, just updating and saving as I go.

Sorry, the page you requested was not found.
The most common problem is a mistyped URL, either in the link you clicked on, or when you typed it in. And remember, URLs are normally case-sensitive.
The page may have been deleted. For example, URLs that start
http://www.uic.edu/~are personal pages; they are removed when the owner leaves UIC.You are welcome to explore our site via the other links on this page, or try a search. If that doesn't help, please contact us.

I read all three posts and have no idea what the hell you're getting at.
Someone please help. And thanks in advance.

I work in a state run organization (museum), and this situation, while not frequent can and does occur - note I'm speaking about 'objects' and not 'records'. People can really be bad about finalizing things, especially on our legal "Agreement of Gift" type forms. However, I have never, and will never block access to publicly held artifacts to any member of the public - pretty much regardless of reason (and in an open 6 day a week, no charge museum, you get them all). I have pulled objects large and small off exhibit for a week for study by outside organizations, groups, or curious patrons - we even have ready made labels -"OBJECT REMOVED FROM EXHIBIT FOR STUDY - WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCOVENIENCE". It's my job for crying out loud. What will tell here, is if it takes more than 2 weeks for access. A telephone call to the donor, a quick mailing of an Agreement of Gift, signature, return of form, end of story. Unless somebody wants to hide something.

Done a Wayback Machine check to see if they were put in the archive? ( http://www.archive.org/index.php )
It can be a very handy thing to check through for those who allow it to catalog things and for the unwary who don't scrub their past.

I ran into Chuck Baldwin (the Bible 'College' dropout/presidential candidate) at a prayer meeting last night and he said that he thinks that the missing papers lead to the holy grail and Natalee.

"...he thinks that the missing papers lead to the holy grail and Natalee." That's right, Boob, just as googling your name leads to an A-- H---.

"--- I ran into Chuck Baldwin (the Bible 'College' dropout/presidential candidate) at a prayer meeting last night ---"
Really? Bob at a prayer meeting? Indeed?
I'm curious about the school drop-out thing. Got a link?
Ordinarily, one doesn't earn two doctorates from different institutions - even if they are honorary doctorates - without being accomplished in some manner.
But of course, to you, earning theological degrees from theological institutes isn't the same as a Ph.D in Biology from an accredited university. Yet Dr. Baldwin is an accomplish writer, radio talk show host, and a pastor (whose service unto the growth of his church was recognized by President Ronald Reagan).
Just as the educated, Christ-centred, Holy Spirit-filled preacher isn't necessarily qualified to teach about the deep things of biology, neither is the biology Ph.D on upon only the merits of his degree qualified to expound on Biblical exegesis, much less lead people to Christ or pastor a church.
Yet both are constitutionally permitted to run for POTUS, if they are over 35 years of age and are natural born US citizens.

1993: "In Chicago, a $49.2 million grant ...to improve the quality of students' work and achievement..."
2008: "(IL) State Sen. James Meeks is urging parents to keep their children out of Chicago Public Schools the first day of class and instead board buses to the New Trier (Winnetka, IL) school district. "Open up the white school. We want to get in the white school..."
