I'm not sure that anyone was suggesting the "celebrity" ad was racist, just asinine. I'm thinking Obama should respond with his own add about celebrity with pictures of Betty White and Bea Arthur.

"Of those, just 22% say the ad was racist while 63% say it was not."

Not coincidentally, the percentage of moonbats in the population is just about 20%.

John McCain
he crashed a plane
or rather, he crashed three.
The first
a splash!
Was quite a day
Jet underwater
Corpus Christi Bay.
The next
In Spain
Too low
powerlines
a shattered plane.
Look, they said
just for fun.
Is the twice-crashed pilot
really an admiral's son?
The record shows
that yes, indeed
McCain's own dad
was a Navy VP!
Two jets down
why wasn't he grounded?
A football game!
His heart, it pounded.
Army-Navy game in Philly
Public transportation's silly
So to the game alone he flew
in a Navy jet paid for by you
Engibe trouble
flyboy down
Plane number 3
impacts the ground.
He would go on
to lose more two
A carrier mishap
anti-aircraft fire
Crashes, however, these were not
so we oughtn't blame the arrogant snot

Aviation Facts, I'll bet you would wet your pink panties if you ever got in the seat of a fighter jet. Punks like you are a dime a dozen on any street corner where Meth is peddled, but rare as hen's teeth in the seat of a fighter plane or anywhere in the military. You can fly and shoot them with your keyboard and your big mouth, that's all you have, other than your failed education. I would like to take a few seconds and torture you, all I would need would be a wet noddle and 20 seconds, you'd break like the rest of the left wing cowards. I'm not a McCain supporter and probably won't vote for him but McCain is a thousand times the man you or anyone in your family (other than your mother) are, or will ever be. By the way, what position do you hold in code pink stink, comode lid holder for the ditch witch?

4* Barack Obama said his opponent will try to scare people because Obama does not look like the other Presidents on dollar bills. Is that a racist comment?

53% Yes

38% No

9% Not sure

Just a thought. If I heard this question and thought it meant "Because he is black, Obama said his opponent will try to scare people," I would think that was a racist comment, because it suggests that Obama cannot help but play the victim, because that's what black people do. That may explain why 44% of African-Americans found the comment racist.

"I would think that was a racist comment, because it suggests that Obama cannot help but play the victim, because that's what black people do."

Hmm I think we should take a poll as to whether people think the above statement is racist...

Spart say: "I'm not sure that anyone was suggesting the "celebrity" ad was racist, just asinine."

Is this absolute moron "anyone"?

How about this everlasting nitwit?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/03/gergen-mccain-is-using-co_n_116605.html

Gergen wasn't talking about the celebrity ad, he was talking about the Charlton Heston ad and some of the code that the McCain campaign is using...I have to say I agree that there are certainly efforts being made to paint Obama as the "Other"...why the insistance of always using his middle name by McCain surrogates? Or referring to him as "exotic" or his wife as his "baby-mama" or the "terrorist fist jab"? Race is playing into this campaign and Obama isn't the one who started it.

Obama has admitted that "I don't look like the Presidents on dollar bills" had a small racist component to it.

If so, what kind of component does "I have a funny name" have?

The blackening of America proceeds apace and Obama "goes down low" everytime he's under pressure.

YEP, It's CODE!

"--- Race is playing into this campaign and Obama isn't the one who started it. ---"

But the One who cometh in the power of Jackson and Sharpton, yea, verily he shall be the One who finisheth it.

Although there is a big difference from the black majority vote of his home districts in IL (not that his US senate run in deep blue IL was ever in danger of loss) and the wider, and whiter, and probably red-state-ier breadth of the American populace.

That said, I'll say that McCain is just as much of a tool for playing along.

There are much better candidates to choose from, if only we could shake ourselves of our crack-like addiction to the two (completely useless) major parties.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin is a very good pick, or for those who like a more libertarian pick, there's Bob Barr.

I like Dr. Baldwin as he seems closest to the mix of conservatism and liberty-loving principles of Dr. Ron Paul.

"there's Bob Barr."

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

And btw Fred, isn't Gergen a dyed in the wool conservative? I mean he worked for Nixon, Ford and Reagan. Hardly a bleeding heart.

"---

"there's Bob Barr."

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

---"

Well, I don't much care for the man, (Bob Barr, that is) that and also because of his previous support for certain parts of the NeoCon agenda ... but he'd be a good pick for those of y'all of a libertarian bent who are put off by Dr. Baldwin's outright stand for Christianity (he is a pastor after all), even though he really isn't making a campaign issue out of it, and as far as I can tell, Dr. Baldwin will maintain a strict interpretation of the Establishment Clause.

As in "Freedom OF Religion", as opposed to "freedom from religion".

"By the way, doesn't "Black Elitist" translate to "Uppity Nigger" in common folk talk? Just a thought."

No Vince, that term only applies to people like Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas and is only acceptable when coming from the left.
