Get a load of this. Are American car makers going to shift to more and more of an importer over time? If you do the business Math, it probably makes sense.
Good luck catching on in China Mr. UAW. You may just find out what the Leftism you push is really all about.

Scary thoughts on this:
Chinese automakers are known for ripping off the design of Japanese cars, right on own to the hood ornaments, but making them with far cheaper alloys and completely lacking in the safety conventions the Japanese cars have invested in.
In short, that $8,999 thing that looks like a Honda Civic will not crumple when it crashes, and it will explode like a Pinto.
And that will also be the part where unemployment in Detroit and other US plants dries up quite a bit faster, and the whingy brats at the UAW may find that they REALLY have something to whinge on about: competing with robots and extremely cheap/virtually slave labour that works for pennies on the dollar.
Ain't globalism grand? The only possible upshot is that an Obama presidency sends the dollar into a horrific inflationary tailspin that finds the dollar at 60 yen, and also at around 3-4 yuan Renminbis.
That just might choke up the import markets a tad, right along with 30% unemployment and 500% inflation.
