Does Pelosi Have A "Seagrams" Problem?

I was tipped to this by www.webofdeception - who has done some serious and now verified work on the Rielle Hunter / John Edwards affair. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her husband purchased a DC condo and a garage from Joseph E Seagram and Sons in 1999 - as linked below, Seagrams was one of her largest campaign contributors in 1998. Yet, current records don't list the Pelosi's as the owners - they list Seagrams - at the very same address of the Paul and Nancy Pelosi Charitable Foundation. Thinking it must be an office building, though the address is a suite - #610; a Google search turns up only one other entity doing business at that address: Financial Leasing Service - which is a Paul Pelosi company.

Politicians and the very wealthy often have reasons for these types of seemingly curious occurrences - and Pelosi is both rich, as well as a politician; but after asking some folks behind the scenes if this might be worth pursuing, they agreed - it might be good to know if someone can make some sense of this.

Current records available on line {registration free, if required) have Joseph E Seagram & Sons (which I believe has been sold off but operates as a brand) as the owner of a parking garage at the address below.

That mailing address is the exact same mailing address as Pelosi's charitable foundation.

Paul Pelosi is listed as sole owner of a $1 Million+ Condo in that building - Unit 214. They recently removed Speaker Pelosi from the title.

The Pelosi's bought that property from Seagrams in 1999. Seagrams was listed as a major contributor to the current House Speaker back in 1998:

Somehow this garage went from being owned by a major Pelosi contributor - to being owned by Pelosi after 1999 - yet, today, it appears to be owned by Seagrams again - but with the same address of Pelosi's charitable trust as its mailing address. Something is not adding up.

A search through deeds shows nothing that would bring Seagrams back into play, though the Pelosi's have done numerous transactions with this and other properties in DC over time. It makes no sense that someone wouldn't notice who is listed as the owner on official records.

Maybe there's an explanation for this, people of such huge wealth often do things which appear differently than what they actually are when it comes to shifting money and property around. But these are official records with tax and other consequences. There have been multiple mortgages taken out over time. And why is Pelosi's charitable trust sharing space with, I believe, a mostly defunct liquor company? Not to mention that a former CEO of Seagrams appears to do just fine when Congress is shelling out the dough. This would have been before Pelosi was elected Speaker.

In 2005 - the most recent year for which complete data is available - more than 300 well-heeled "farmers" on the distinctly rural island of Manhattan received subsidies from the Department of Agriculture, which notes this largesse on its website. Among the recipients were: at least two billionaires; a former CEO of Seagrams; and numerous Wall Street power brokers.

Come on, give the people a break. Everyone who has two or more pot plants growing on the balcony of a million dollar townhouse deserves a few hundred thousand dollar in farm sub's from us rich (we couldn't buy the outside light fixtures with a 10 year loan) taxpayers. Just remember there is no more than half a dozen 'honest' rich people in the country, the remainder are criminals.
