AFP has a statement from the Clintons.
WASHINGTON (AFP) — The chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas was shot and killed Wednesday by a gunman who opened fire at the party's state headquarters, according to ex-president Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton.
"We are deeply saddened by the news that Bill Gwatney has passed away," the Clintons, who lived for years in the Arkansas capital of Little Rock while Bill Clinton was governor, said in a joint statement.

First the UU church in TN now this...seems some conservatives get a bit out of control if they don't get their way.

How do you know that the gunman was a conservative, Spartan? Has the gunman's identity been released yet?

He had a gun right?

Spart has just committed Boob/Harpo suicide. I knew Spart was a mokes, I didn't know until now that it is deliberate.

I am kidding about that last, but I bet we find out he had "issues" with the liberal agenda.

Fred, I have to say that I am a tad disappointed in our good friend Spartan. Surely his Michigan State education would have instructed him roundly on the avoidance of ad hominem attacks to support his argument.
So now we are forced to conclude that "all gun-owning men" are conservatives.
I wonder if anyone has considered the politics of that famous gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald.
I'm sure that there are other liberals who have access to weapons, who might be moved to use them to further their aims, given the guilt-free opportunity.

If I'm wrong I'll offer my mea culpa, will you do the same?

"If I'm wrong I'll offer my mea culpa, will you do the same?"
A qualified yes. The issues must be fairly clear, however.

You wonder why this kind of thing happens?
Rush Limbaugh: "I tell people don't kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus " living fossils " so we will never forget what these people stood for."
Senator Phil Gramm: "We're going to keep building the party until we're hunting Democrats with dogs."

"You wonder why this kind of thing happens?" Spart, just when I thought you were out of it, they pull you back in. Once, twice, three times a lady.
You want to see some really insane statements, not just jokes or lighthearted remarks, as were your examples, go to Kos and Huff. They are serious.

Nothing conclusive yet. From AP: "Police said Timothy Dale Johnson, 50, of Searcy, barged into Bill Gwatney's office on Wednesday and shot him multiple times. There were no signs that Gwatney and Johnson, who was later shot dead by officers, knew each other.
A Target store in Conway fired Johnson early Wednesday because he had written graffiti on a wall, police said. A Target statement Thursday said Johnson "voluntarily quit" and did give any details.
Target said Johnson was an hourly employee at the Conway store, who had 'no history of behavioral or performance problems at Target.'...'Johnson lived alone and had never been married,' said Helen Mowrer, who lived next door to the gunman. Mowrer said both of Johnson's parents had lived at the house, but they died in the past 10 years."

Clinton: "... the news that Bill Gwatney has passed away...".
What sort of moronic comment is that? He didn't "pass away", he was brutally murdered.
Maybe the Clintons don't see the difference.

More from AP: " Gwatney owned three Little Rock area car dealerships and Wednesday's search of Johnson's home turned up two sets of keys for vehicles from Gwatney car lots."
Could it be the horse trader connection? We'll see.

Note to you rednecks out there. Christmas is in December, ergo your klassy Christmas lights should come down in January.

I could just as easily direct you towards the comments on freepers or Michelle Malkins website. What's your point? My point is the guys I quoted have audiences of millions.

"Note to all you rednecks out there. Christmas is in December, ergo your klassy Christmas lights should come down in January."
What about all those blacks and Mexicans who have their Christmas lights still up, you hypocrite?

Just take down the lights, rednecks. You make us decent whites look bad.
Posted by: david lewis | Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 04:15 PM
Oh, by the way, David, spare us your righteous indignation. I doubt you condemned the liberal nutcase who tried to run down the Florida Secretary of State, or any other violence perpetuated by you Lefty scum, including the recent fire-bombing of a UC-Santa Cruz professor's home.
As for you being a decent white, I laughed my ass off at that lie. You're nothing but a little punk.

I figure between working the night shift and taking anti-depressants he went bonkers. Lack of sleep and a drugged mind can go haywire and who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of those so addled. It would be interesting though to know exactly why he targeted Gwatney. Did you pick up on the fact that he did target practicing and he worked at TARGET?

"'Something bad must have happened,' Liles said. 'He must have just snapped.'
Thursday, his young beagle remained in a wire-fence pen in the backyard, crying out occasionally at passers-by."
Yep, looks to me like he and his beagle were both libtards.
