I wonder which of the above the media thinks is worse? Geesh.
Where is the Left on this stuff? Isn't this something they are supposed to gather together on and denounce?
A top Russian general said Friday that Poland's agreement to accept a U.S. missile interceptor base exposes the ex-communist nation to attack, possibly by nuclear weapons, the Interfax news agency reported.
Well, it is Russia and not America, I guess. So, what's the harm? Their just kidding, right?
Or maybe the Left is all out of town ... perhaps at the beach?
Ooooh. Who cares about Georgia? There’s video of Barack bodysurfing. And photos. So many Oba-licious photos.
Let's hope Obawonabeachbum and the fawning media don't get caught up in the undertow.
They don't want to do any actual reporting - they'd have to admit that Obawon doesn't have a plan. Certainly not one that would keep America secure. This guy would drop our guard and open us up to threats we can't even begin to imagine. How's this nonsense sounding right about now?
With events in Georgia over the past week, it is time to revisit Barack Obama's stated views on America's defense needs. In the video above, Obama pronounces a McGovernite disarmament credo:
I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems...
...I will not weaponize space...
...I will slow development of future combat systems...
...and I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending...
...I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons...
...and to seek that goal, I will not develop nuclear weapons...
...I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material...
...and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert...
...and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals...

McSame has declared the Russian attacks on Georgia as the "first serious international crisis" in the post cold war era...what planet is he living on? My goodness the list of serious international crisis' since the early 90's is practically endless.

John McCain sez: "Russia and the United States are no longer mortal enemies. As our two countries possess the overwhelming majority of the world's nuclear weapons, we have a special responsibility to reduce their number. I believe we should reduce our nuclear forces to the lowest level we judge necessary, and we should be prepared to enter into a new arms control agreement with Russia reflecting the nuclear reductions I will seek."
Ronald Reagan says: "We seek the total elimination one day of nuclear weapons from the face of the Earth."
George P. Shultz, William J. Perry, Henry A. Kissinger and Sam Nunn say "Reassertion of the vision of a world free of nuclear weapons and practical measures toward achieving that goal would be, and would be perceived as, a bold initiative consistent with America's moral heritage. The effort could have a profoundly positive impact on the security of future generations."

"first serious international crisis" Links to those crisis involving nuclear weapons please, unless you are admitting that Saddam was a nuclear threat. I'll make a bet (as an old Strategic Air Command member) that the Nuclear Forces are on higher upgraded alert now than they have been for a long time.
The bear has been watching and knows we only have about 50% of the military we had prior to Slick Willie's choppin knife. Iraq and Afghanistan has proven that 50% of the population (all democrats) are too cowardly to fight for a little old thing like freedom for others, so it's suspect that they would fight for their own freedom.
Put Hussein O in the white house for a few years and you'll have to fear Castro and Chavez as they will have the more powerful military and will use it for personal power, just like the democrats use politics for personal power, the hell with the American population.

We still spend almost as much on the military as the rest of the world combined does. Military spending actually starting back up in 1998 and has gone from around $320 BILLION in 2001 to over $700 BILLION in 2007. I guess that ain't enough for Scapiron. He wants it ALL!!!!
McSame seems to have cornered the Alzheimer's vote with his claim that: “In the 21st century, nations don’t invade other nations.”

Don't you just love how the Obama surrogates are attacking John McCain for "shooting from the hip" and exacerbating the situation?? As if McCain too should be gathering his skirts, and attempting the proverbial 'strongly worded letter' - while Russian troops kill, rape, pillage, and rob banks throughout the formerly free and democratic country of Georgia.
Not sure why I should be surprised... Obama and the leftist's obviously won't let 3000 dead Americans on 9/11 get in the way of coddling our enemies, so why would he give a damn about a bunch of Slav's?
Posted by: GL | Friday, August 15, 2008 at 05:54 PM
Hmmm, 9/11. Bin Laden. That's the 6' 6" guy running around Pakistan that Prez Bush said he was going to get "dead or alive" but then decided he really didn't think about much anymore.
Again, perhaps we should finish World War IV before starting World War V.

I think I'll take that bet - assuming "long time" goes back before 9/11.

The American people are getting a little snapshot of the possible future of the "the One" as POTUS!
You know the one where he "hopes" that Putin will "change" his mind and join the human race. This clown boy actually wants to go to the UN for help, as if the Russian veto power could be balanced out with a little "stern talk".
This is only the first of many blatant examples of Barry's complete lack of experience concerning world events. The world is a tough place and little Barry can't just wait around for his handlers to setup the teleprompter and get him the next script. Putin sees a opening after watching the democrats in congress try and steer the country into appeasment and just like Hitler and Chamberlin the only hope is someone who is not affraid to get in Putins face and say "bite me bitch" and that guy sure ain't Barry!

I'm more worried whether McCain is showing early signs of Alzheimer's. His statements that “in the 21st century, nations don’t invade other nations.” - ya think after voting to invade Iraq, he'd know better - and that Georgia is the first serious crisis since the end of the cold war are either blatant lies or he's losing his mind. Either way, he's not presidential material.

Hey Worst President Ever,

Wrong. Iraq only resumed being a nation AFTER Saddam Hussein was removed from power in 2003. During the time Iraq was under his heel, it was merely the personal sandbox for Saddam, his nut-job sons, the rest of his ne'er do well family, and cronies.
If no one has told you lately that you're an Obamified idiot, pray allow me the honor of doing so.

the best way to deter our Russian enemies is to have more powerful, more accurate, and far greater quantities of nukes, seismic weapons, chemical and bioweapons, and to weaponize space with high energy DEW weapons to be able to assure the total destruction of our enemy's civilization.
The cold war is back, the Russkie Bear is as hungry as ever, and Tsar V. Putin needs to know that his actions will carry a certainfateful price.

MarkJ: So what do you think of candidates that are admitted adulterers - like McCain?
Posted by: Worst President Ever | Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 03:44 AM
Just wanted to say thanks for putting forth the basic thrust of Senator Obama's foreign policy positions. They are scary indeed in a world where American strength is more necessary than ever.

So can we now stop saying that Ronald Reagan won the Cold War?

"A world with No Nukes. Sooooo Scarey." Says Worst
" "O wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is!
O brave new world
That hath such people in't!" Says Shakespeare.
Do re mi mi mi. "You may call me a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope someday you will join uzz[John's pronunciation], then the world will be as one." Worstie, in your eyes American conservatives are the only bad people on the planet. Wake, awake, oh Worst, awake. Sure, sure, sure, Worst, just as you, I, and all other Amis are "as one"
"1. 'Wake, awake, for night is flying,"
The watchmen on the heights are crying;
"Awake, Jerusalem, arise!'"
