Dan R,

And others.

I'm going to move on myself. Though I disagree with many of the political views here I feel all in all a pretty good group.

Hope this doesn't haunt you Willie but you're a very decent guy for a right winger. And templar is a not that far behind in .second. By the way, TK, made some delicious pulled pork over the weekend. And please stop the gay hating seeker, you seem a decent guy as well.

Anyways, peace and good health to all.

I'll try and stop back sometime.

Same to you jharp.

Dan, good to know you are still here. Now is that, Virginia or Viagara?

Glad to know you are living life once again.

xxxxx

OOPS, almost forgot..........Happy 42ND birthday Dan!

"gay hating" ...?

I don't hate gays. I just don't care much for the sinful and destructive lifestyle that goes with it, not to mention the destructive effects that lifestyle has on society which seem far out of proportion to a lot of other sins that beset this nation.

Homosexuality, like all other sins, is enough to keep us from God, and to prevent us from going to Heaven to be with God; therefore, my "hate" is not gays or any other practitioner of sins of sexual immorality, for in my own sins of immorality and greed and idolatry I have done in my past, or what have you, I am no less guilty than the most promiscuous, trampy woman, or the most immoral, lascivious man.

This was Jesus's purpose for coming to earth, being born of a virgin, and dying for our sins: to redeem us back to Himself, and purify us from sin.

I hope that you can understand that.

In the meantime, you take good care of yourself and yours as well.

"Hope this doesn't haunt you Willie but you're a very decent guy for a right winger."

Damn, haven't been here for days and check in to find a compliment and "pulled pork". Down here we call it a pig pickin' and not many do it in the summer. I hope you did it properly, with vinegar based sauce and not that sweet tomato based stuff yankees are so fond of.TK do you Texicans even know how to catch a pig?

Harpie you're a decent chap yourself and I'm going to enjoy living off the fruits of your labor. Fifty Billion dollars to give the rest of the world for aids research and Ameerican kids unable to see a doctor. Future's so bright I gotta wear shades.........

Hurricane Bertha's coming so it's time to fuel the generator and get some supplies........

forty-two? 42? yeah, I remember that one. Considering the alternative to B-days...Happy Birthday.

Heh. How rude of me... Happy 42nd, Dan.

Um, sorry, folks. But I think the "42" was something of a joke. Just ask my knees, back, eyesight, so on, and so forth ... ; )

Happy birthday, Dan. May your next one see no single payer socialized health plan.

"But Robertson-Holmes is Canadian, and her state-provided health care gave her a wait time of four months to see a neurologist and six months to see an endocrinologist. Unable to get an expedited appointment, and with her eyesight worsening, Robertson-Holmes called the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and went in for tests and a diagnosis within a week."

Happy birthday, Dan, whatever year that you were born! Have many more, and make them happy as well.

Geez, jharp, it's not every day you can find a crowd like you have here. It runs the gamet from far left to far right. And it's fun most of the time, and informational as well. LOL. In any event, stop by often(you know you will), gig us when you can, fish more, work less and enjoy life. We all still live in the greatest country in the World. Let's all work to keep it that way.

Pulled pork? One of my favorites. I wonder if you used the Carolina recipe and put slaw on your pulled pork sandwich. Now Willie could tell us a little about that, I imagine. I just add bbq sauce and eat it on Texas toast, myself, but that's the Texas way. It's good either way.

Dan: Happy Birthday. Mine is tomorrow. So we have something in common. Hot birthdays. Born in July. And Virginians and Southerners also. But I am older than you. I remember WW2. I enjoy this blog very much. I like the crowd. Keep it up. And good luck with your real world project.

Especially for Islamomoe, who prefers to live in Progressiveland. Another person, Tigerhawk, looks out his windshield and sees, as I did on my recent trip to the land of ice and snow, that the Americans who drive in the real world don't seem to give a t--d how much gasoline costs.

"When I pulled on to the New Jersey Turnpike I set my cruise control at 66 mph (substantially faster than I would drive -- 55 or so -- if I wanted to maximize my fuel economy), got in the right lane, and started counting cars that passed me. I was passed by more than 40 cars before I came up behind another vehicle going more slowly than me, and it was a step van trying to exit. I gave up counting when more than 100 cars passed me without me passing anybody. At 66 miles per hour."

"--- But I am older than you. I remember WW2. ---"

Oh, you young'uns always complainin' about that war against the Huns. I got all of y'all beat. I was at Antietam.

Public tries Dem majority in Congress. Public now says they suck:

"Tuesday, July 08, 2008

The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category."

On the gas prices vs. speeding, I have yet to figure that out myself as I try to hyper-mile my little commuter runabout only to see trucks and SUVs still blowing past me.

Must be a lot of folks cashing in on the oil/commodities speculating for them to be racing up and down the Taconic Parkway at 90mph in their SUVs.

Although to-day's market shows oil and commodities indexes along with the WTI and Brent taking a serious $10 dump.

I wonder if that's just a stiff correction with a rally to follow, or the beginning of a longer term slide back toward sub-$100/bbl prices.

All that nicey-nice talk from MadManIn AdinnerJacket must be smoothing things out.

Happy Birthday Dan ... 42, LOL - yea right ... Now you be careful rockin in that clay. I hope all is well with you and yours.

nc_mom

Happy Birthday Dan!

You're not 42, you're 21....again!

Harpo you will be missed. When you get out on parole make sure and check back-in. Dan's site won't be the same without your warped sense of reality.

Seriously Harpo, you seem to be a stand-up, although slightly misguided, guy and I hope that you and your family stay safe.

Any chance you could get Lame-O, Chris/Bob and President Carter to follow you into moonbat retirement?

Happy Birthday, Dan. Hope you have many, many more to come.

Happy birthday, you young whippersnapper! You may feel old but you're not as old as me! Now if you'll excuse me, it's my nap time and dinner is going to be served promptly at 4:45.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAN
Thank you for the opporchancity to read/post at RWV.

After careful internets detective work it is my sad duty to report that the message below is, in fact, NOT from John McCain. Evidence suggests that the 81 year old 'candidate' has no idea how to use a computer, therefore he could not type a message. However, it has been documented that McCain is AWARE of the internet. I hope that clears things up.

Semper Fi! The surge is WORKING!

If I remember correctly it was Bill Clinton that did not know how to use a computer. Maybe that is why Hillary lost. Oh, that's right Bill did not have time to use a computer. He had other things on his mind and body.

Semper Fi! The surge is WORKING!

Right. Working. Unlike your brain boob. You'll be the last person in America to get a clue on Iraq.

Hold on to that dream, patriotic deadender! Over 6 years of VICTORIES!!! Iraq will never attack us again!!

"Iraq will never attack us again."

And Afghanistan didn't attack us, either, but you liberals wanted to attack that country. And let me see, when did Bosnia attack us? Yet we attacked them. And likewise Serbia? When did they attack us?

Hmm...your theory is as full of shit as you, Bob. And that's bursting full. But you can rest with the knowledge that Bosnia and Serbia will never attack us again. Thanks to President Clinton and Gen. Wesley Clark. Now there are a couple of heros, yuk..yuk..yuk.

"--- And Afghanistan didn't attack us, either, but you liberals wanted to attack that country. And let me see, when did Bosnia attack us? Yet we attacked them. And likewise Serbia? When did they attack us? ---"

Nor did any other country, for that matter... since the attack by the Japanese Empire at Pearl Harbour on 12 December 1941. There was also the declaration of war against the other Axis powers (Italy, Germany, and possibly Romania) which had declared war on us shortly after the commencement of hostilities against the Japanese Empire.

Beyond that, Korea, Vietnam, Granada, Panama, Gulf War I, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Gulf War II are quite undeclared, and unconstitutional wars that have little to do with defending any Americans' interest aside from those of a few multinational corporations and some oil princes.

Makes you wonder why we have such a knack for getting wrapped up in other people's wars, and that most often, unconstitutionally.

In this most recent travesty and abuse of the Constitution, the Congress - including many, if not most of the Democrats who carp endlessly about how we should pack it all in and head home - voted to yield their constitutional duty to declare war (or withhold the same) by a sham of a "Authorization for the Use of Military Force" cravenly giving their powers to the POTUS, who then not only went to war, but also embarked on the most expansive suppression of liberties and freedoms against the American Citizens since FDR.

You could have benefited from some of that private school education that you are so very proud of. FYI, Clark (and Clinton) were Rhodes Scholars. Clark was valedictorian at West Point (the yellow-toothed former captive was 4th from the bottom) and:

"Clark was assigned a position in the 1st Infantry Division and flew to Vietnam on May 21, 1969 during the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. He worked as a staff officer, collecting data and helping in operations planning, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his work with the staff. Clark was then given command of A Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry of the 1st Infantry Division in January 1970. In February, only one month into his command, he was shot four times by a Viet Cong soldier with an AK-47. The wounded Clark shouted orders to his men, who counterattacked and defeated the Viet Cong force. Clark had injuries to his right shoulder, right hand, right hip, and right leg, and was sent to Valley Forge Army Hospital in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to recuperate. He was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during the encounter."

I'm sure your offspring are 'heros' as well.

"Clark was valedictorian at West Point..."

Let's add "The rest of the story" shall we? When most of his class went to Vietnam, Clark went to Oxford. Because of his "million dollar" wounds he did not complete his year in Vietnam. Interestingly at the time Clark was wounded, McCain had been a POW for two years and already refused early release. The other 2.5 years McCain spent being "physically tormented" Clark didn't do much as executive staff....unless gaining a reputation among peers as "arrogant, vindicitive and politically motiviated" counts for something. It did get him a generalship and post as NATO commander under Clinton.....He never minded letting Cohen know who he thought was the smarter. In Bosnia, Clark ordered Brit forces to attack Russian paras who were about to take an airport. The Brit commander refused the order not wanting to start WWIII. Cohen finally got fed up with Clark's arrogance and allowed Clark to retire ( DoD speak for "fired him") for insubordination three months before Clark's duties in Bosnia were over.

Whole story looks a wee bit different huh?

What does any of the stuff you posted have to do with the US attacking Bosnia and Serbia without first being attacked by them, chris? Or Bob's reasoning or lack thereof in this case? You would do well to keep your mouth shut, chris, thus preventing the World from knowing what an idiot you are.

Happy (belated) birthday!
