Obama: I Have A Plan

More political nonsense, than an actual plan, Obama offers up his foggy vision of what to do about Iraq. He leaves himself so many outs, it amounts to nothing. And the would be Commander-In-Chief fails to take into account America's long-term strategic interests.

No doubt the troops left behind longer in hot zones will take great comfort in knowing their supporting elements are bailing out just as the enemy is likely to pour on the heat as Obama retreats.

And as for permanent bases in Iraq, only a fool would not attempt to establish same. It will take decades, at least, to make America's infrastructure capable of supporting alternative energy. In the meantime, we are locked to events in the Middle East. Iraq presents the perfect location to project power there when need be.

Obama would surrender the Middle-East, still a hot bed of terrorism, with Iran, Syria and Lebanon as tinder ... and with the safety of Israel always in question. Ultimately, he would be turning the region back to the control of whatever anti-American despots want to seize control of this or that nation or region and leave America with a bigger war to fight because Obama cut and ran.

I wouldn't want this clown watching my back in a Chicago street fight, let alone in the struggle against Mid-East generated terrorism. I suspect he did his community organizing during the day, or in the safety of some social worker-like office. Come to think of it, I bet the social workers took more risks than Obama did.

His plan is really nothing but talk and talk is cheap. I suspect everything about this guys is, except his suits ... his expansive house ... and whatever luxury items he managed to buy himself through his shady Chicago-politics past.

Tell us more, General Dan. After you played this out a few times with Humvees in your sand box and ran the US v Iran War simulation via Civ3 on your home computer, what else is wrong with Obama's military strategy?

I'm sure we could take a page from John McCain, since J. Sidney has had years of Senatorial experience - you know, recruiting soldiers and deploying regiments and maintaining supply lines and directing bombardments - to really judge how best to conquer and hold our new American Colony.

Of course, the third in a long line of military McCains would have a plan to bring this war to a victorious conclusion. But I doubt he'll be spelling it out in a NYT Op-Ed. We've got to keep such plans a secret. Yes! A secret plan to end the war, just like Nixon gave us in Vietnam. Why, if McCain were to play his cards right, he could ride his secret plan straight into a re-election platform in 2012.

Barack Obama, by spelling out his plans to redeploy troops from Iraq into Afghanistan, is clearly tipping his hand. By spelling out exactly how he intends to bolster anti-Taliban troops (you remember the Taliban don't you?) he's exposing himself to a vicious Iraqi offensive. Meanwhile, McCain remains immune to criticism by blindly ignoring Afghanistan virtually wholesale and demanding hundreds of billions of dollars be spent in the construction of military bases so we can turn Iraq into a second Korean Demilitarized Zone (ie, a giant tax-payer funded money pit - why the fuck are we even in South Korea anyway if we're going to just shove our thumbs up our asses while Little Kim gets The Bomb?)

But yes, McCain has Obama by the gonads on this one to be sure. Victory, Wiskey, Sexy! is a way better campaign slogan than Let's Unfuck Ourselves In A Calm And Reasonable Manner. This must be why McCain has that massive lead in the polls. If only Obama could learn from McCain's amazing example, this would be a tighter race, I'm sure.

Obama's plan is...nobody knows, as it changes day-to-day, depending on which way the wind is blowing in the nutroot camp. We stop squandering tax dollars on Europe, which has sufficeint military strength between the Armée française (France) the Bundeswehr (Germany) and the Ministry of Defense (UK) to repel any foreign invasions or secure its airspace and naval lanes; there is no credible Russian threat that requires an American presence in Europe any longer.

South Korean and Japan could also be drawn down to a forward-ops status, and we can reduce our deployments to over 135 other nations, to protect our own borders, sea lanes, and airspaces from incursion either by foreign states or by stateless terror organizations.
