I totally agree. Well said. There is no way the majority white population in this country is going to vote for an inexperienced man who happens to be black. Since the blacks will vote as a block vote(95 per cent or better)for Obama I see no reason why whites should not vote as a block for McCain. Go Johnny Mac! I cant see Obama winning much of anything. Maybe DC and Mass.like McGovern,Dukasis, and Mondale did.

Yeah, it's quite possible that many whites who claim to support Obie in public will act differently all alone in the voting booth but I think it will only slightly close the victory margin........Sorry to burst your bubble but you're going to wake up the first Wed in November with a brother as prez.........

Rational "hard working" People will not vote for Barry because,

1. He is an incompetent twit
2. He is everything he said he wasnt
3. He is a racist
4. Affirmative action doesnt work!

JOM

Obama is almost certain to be (s)elected as President in November.

Too much media spin combined with the bulk of foolish young who do not see Obama's radicalism for what it is - collectivism and empty promises of a free ride on the government gravy train.

I could see a large block of white men over 50 voting for Johnny Mac, but beyond that, Obama's got the election in the bag with the college kids of all races, the entire black vote, the Jewish vote (as long as he keeps sucking up to AIPAC and can keep the Pally-stinians from blowing up any Israeli tour buses until 5 Nov. 2008) and a sizeable portion of the female vote that didn't vote for Mac out of Hillary-spite.

That and ex-Ron Paulites like myself splitting for either Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin, we could end up spoiling the McCain vote (much more than we will Obama, most likely) by some 6%-8%.

Rational "hard working" People will not vote for Barry

That's code for rednecks, right? Rednecks can't even fill up their tanks these days - don't count on them pulling the lever for that tortured old man.

The charges of voter supression will be like all the others. When the eidence is in all voter supression will occur in districts controlled by democrats, mostly black districts. Always has, always will be.

I don't see how we can possibly wake up in Nov and find we have a 'bro' as president. There is not a 'bro' on the ticket since McCain doesn't have enough black in his history to qualify as a bro, but he possibly has more black in him than Hussein O. We may wake up with a phony black, but really a white/Arab, as president due to the supidity of the black population and the widespread BDS (insanity) in the democrat party.

Remember, democrat promises are usually not what they seem. They promised in 2006 to do something about the economy and fuel prices if given control in Jan 2007. They didn't tell you that doing something included total destruction of the economy and doubling/tripling fuel prices. I have stated before that if the economy is growing by leaps and bounds and the unemployment rate is the lowest in history, and the democrats promise to change the direction, the only way to change directions is to run unemployment up and the economy down. They're success rate is now approaching 100% on that. Thank a democrat congress everytime you fill your vehicle with gas and for the unemployment check.

"We may wake up with a phony black, but really a white/Arab"

Ignorant rednecks like you are born to be cannon fodder. Spend your monthly welfare stipend wisely!

"Rational "hard working" People will not vote for Barry

That's code for rednecks, right?"

Well neither rational and certainly not hard working would apply to you....so it probably is rednecks seeing as the very term is derogitory of farmers.

"a phony black, but really a white/Arab"

Did they move Kenya? wasn't his mom a joo? Are we just playing semantics?

Check out the Obama commercial where he is talking to white folks. Shows his mothere(white)and does not show his father anywhere in the commercial. Barry is talking to numerous white would be voters in the ad and not ONE black is shown. Wonder what the message is here? We dont need to aim at black voters since we already have them in the bag. Can it be possible that white people are really so dumb?
Also I see many white women who are mad at not having Hillary to vote for as either not voting or switching to John McCain. Go Johnny Go!
Also take note: Most college kids do not vote. They are usually too hung over.
But old white people vote and they will turn out in record numbers to vote for the most experienced candidate: John McCain.

"That's code for rednecks, right?"

If by "rednecks", you mean union rank and file voters, who would otherwise vote democrat.

"Shows his mothere(white)and does not show his father anywhere in the commercial."

That might be because he didn't have a relationship with his father, numb-nuts.

He did have a father didn't he? So why not show his father? It is a POLITICAL ad. It is meant to mislead. And why is Obama never shown in the ad talking to ANY black people?

So what? Why would he show a picture of a man whom he didn't really know? He showed pictures of the people with whom he DID have a relationship: his mother, and the folks who raised him - his grandparents. He didn't show "black people" in the spot - wait for it - because the folks who raised him. Were. Not. Black.

Get over youselves; your petty outrages are getting more transparent and frivolous by the day.

Abdullah says "get used to high oil prices". Now here's my personal favorite bio-fuel grass, far superior to corn (which is a grass that takes more energy to produce than it creates and people seem to starve if you use it for fuel) The stuff grows naturally almost nationwide, cleans up the crap you people throw on your lawns and eats CO2............

"Get over youselves; your petty outrages are getting more transparent and frivolous by the day."

You had your turn for 8 years.....shouldn't the other side get an at bat?

"-- Could the supposedly first post-racial candidate trigger the largest racial divide in America since the Civil War? --"

Why are conservatives constantly sporting a raging hard-on to re-enact the Civil War? Do they even remember who won?

"-- Rational "hard working" People will not vote for Barry because, --"

Shorter JOM: I AM NOT VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA!

*hands JOM a cookie* That's good to hear JOM. Now its off to bed. Finish your milk, brush your teeth, and mommy will be up in a bit to tuck you in.

"-- If by "rednecks", you mean union rank and file voters, who would otherwise vote democrat. --"

Unless she was Hitlery Klin-Ton. Or that phoney rich white guy John Edwards. Or the fake soldier John Kerry. Or ultra-liberal enviro-radical terror nazi Al Gore.

Yeah, I'm sure the Democratic Caucus is always a hair's breath from winning your vote.

"-- Abdullah says "get used to high oil prices". That and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. When I see it in my gas tank, we'll talk. As it stands, all I hear is "ANWR! ANWR! ANWR!" from the wingnut'o'sphere. So, while kicking the oil addiction by changing dealers sounds like a swell idea, I'm not sure how your personal favorite bio-fuel lowers anyone's energy bill. Given the massive flooding in the mid-west and the massive droughts along the southeastern seaboard, I also wonder how we plan to grow all that grass with no arable land to expand on.

Again, these are questions the GOP has been unwilling to invest time or energy to answer because Wesley Clark sad something mean about John McCain's war record.

Obama is courting Evangelicals.

Daily Kos is unhappy with Obama.

For liberals to say anything at all about petty outrage is...well...PETTY. Liberals bottled and capped it over the past few years, so get over your pettiness, Worst.

"Given the massive flooding in the mid-west and the massive droughts along the southeastern seaboard, I also wonder how we plan to grow all that grass with no arable land to expand on."

You could've at least checked the link but then you're becoming more like the wingnuts you so despise every day. Then you would know that the stuff grows almost everywhere including the millions of acres of federal land, is drought tolerant and even grows in poor soils. But since you're the smartest little princess ever, you're probably right let's give up everything and ride horses.....ooops no arable land for horse fuel and their farts cause pollution...let's walk.

"Obama is courting Evangelicals."

All for "faith based" programs they say...........Dude may be more conservative than Johnny Mac. Not that it's a big stretch.

Wow Pookie's right again, the 2006 state of the union speech is all about doing nothing toward alternate energy, not spending a time on it. Good thing our new republican congress that year was sooooo interested in keeping their promise to "do something about energy costs"

"-- Wow Pookie's right again, the 2006 state of the union speech is all about doing nothing toward alternate energy, not spending a time on it. Good thing our new republican congress that year was sooooo interested in keeping their promise to "do something about energy costs" --"

The Republican Congress of 2006 did, in fact, pass an Energy Bill.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/21/AR2007062101026.html

"-- The Senate passed a sweeping energy legislation package last night that would mandate the first substantial change in the nation's vehicle fuel-efficiency law since 1975 despite opposition from auto companies and their Senate supporters.

After three days of intense debate and complex maneuvering, Democratic leaders won passage of the bill shortly before midnight by a 65 to 27 vote. --"

However, it was vetoed and died in the House after Pelosi failed to put together a 2/3rds majority. Surprise Surprise.

The same could be said with the vast majority of bills attempting to move through the Senate. In fact, Reid is putting together a little piece of legislation affectionately referred to as the Coburn Omnibus Bill, consisting of all the bills Senator Tom Coburn currently has a hold on.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0608/Coburn_Omnibus_planned_for_July.html

See, what Coburn is doing is referred to as a "filibuster". Now, for those of us who missed our high school civics classes, a "filibuster" is a Senatorial maneuver in which a sitting Senator exercises his right to unlimited debate. This unlimited debate can only be shut off by a 60-vote majority in the Senate.

In the case of the Energy Bill, it was subject to a Presidential veto. A veto is a power vested in the President that allows him to reject a bill from becoming law by refusing to sign it. In order to over come a veto, both the Senate and the House need to approve the bill with majorities of no less than 2/3rds of all seated delegates.

Since the Senate currently has a 49-49-2 non-existent majority and the House has only 30-odd seats over the majority threshold, a Presidential veto can cancel any legislation put forward by the Democratic Party.

And after Bush found his veto pen back during the Stem Cell research fight in '06, he's been threatening Presidential vetoes in virtually anything that crosses his desk. This, combined with filibuster threats by the Senate that limit the 49 seat Democratic "majority" has hampered any new legislation from actually reaching the President's desk anyway.

Then we have to consider that while Congress makes the laws, the President enacts them. Currently, we can't get the President to enforce EPA standards that are already on the books. Good luck getting him to enforce whatever the Democratic "majority" manages to push past his desk.

"-- Then you would know that the stuff grows almost everywhere including the millions of acres of federal land, is drought tolerant and even grows in poor soils. --"

Yes, sweetheart, but who's going to farm it. Go out to some of those federally owned, drought prone patches of poor soil that can be found virtually everywhere. Show me how many farmers you see.

Damn you, infrastructure! Damn you, logistics! Reality has foiled my "Free Grass Oil For Everyone!" scheme again. Never mind the fact that if it was such a hot deal, why am I still unable to fill up my gas tank with this cheap, clean, easy-to-grow, highly available bio-diesel alternative?

Again, get back to me when you've made your millions off your brilliant business plan. Until then, its no less a pipe dream than the hydrogen cars and corn-powered lawn mowers we've been promised for the last 8 years.

Bush's "State of the Union" speeches are rarely worth the paper they're printed on.

"Damn you, infrastructure! Damn you, logistics! Reality has foiled my "Free Grass Oil For Everyone!" scheme again."

Yeah, I said you're right. It's not like those oil derricks that just pop out of the ground and pipelines that grew like veins hither n yon from the ozone. Someone would actually have to make an effort....though it does seem like those self powered and dispatched trucks could drive by and pick somehting up. Shit, it's just too bad there aren't more people as smart as you then maybe someone could tell us the best plan to move forward. Oil hasn't gone up much since 2006 after all.

Right on. I cant see anyone in my town voting for Osama, and we are already talking of making sure every single one of us votes, including our parents at the old folks home.

I'd like to see a revolution near my town, let'em come, cause I got more shotguns and ammo than they will ever own. . .

In any event:

"Remember the shock and subsequent societal strains after the OJ verdict came in?"

Uh, "societal strains"? No.

"Black America celebrated, while White America fumed."

Really? Care to provide ANY evidence that blacks and whites collectively yet seperately reacted as a bloc? Any evidence at all to support yet another dumb premise?

Meanwhile, back in junior high:

"Right on. I cant see anyone in my town voting for Osama, and we are already talking of making sure every single one of us votes, including our parents at the old folks home.

I'd like to see a revolution near my town, let'em come, cause I got more shotguns and ammo than they will ever own. . ."

...a perfect stand-alone nugget of fresh steaming wingnuttery.

Vetoed because of these "“Objectionable Provisions”

The Bush Administration finds the price gouging and OPEC provisions among the “several objectionable provisions that make this bill unacceptable in its current form.” In a June 12 statement, the administration said that the federal government has all the legal tools necessary to address price gouging.

The administration warned that the legislation could result in price controls. “Gasoline price controls are an old—and failed—policy choice that will exacerbate shortages and increase fuel hoarding after natural disasters, denying fuel to people when they need it most.”

Regarding the “NOPEC” provision, the administration stated it would “strongly oppose any amendment that (1) intends to subject to the jurisdiction of U.S. courts the actions of foreign countries related to energy production, distribution, or pricing and (2) purports to eliminate sovereign immunity and the ‘act of state’ doctrine as defenses in such cases.”

The provision targeting OPEC would spur retaliation against U.S. firms operating abroad and discourage foreign investment in the U.S. economy, according to the administration."

Well Pookie our attempt to spur discussion of a real issue has come to naught among our fellows. Let's start on something more important and fitting with the thread.

OBAMA= Boxers or briefs? If briefs, is um tighty whiteys?

Well, you could mosey on over to http://sugarnspice.typepad.com/sugar_n_spicea_meeting_pl/2008/06/michelle-oballb.html
and read what black women have to say about Obama.

"Could the supposedly first post-racial candidate trigger the largest racial divide in America since the Civil War?"

That train already left the station. It was around the time of the SC primary, if memory serves. Got into overdrive around the time Rev. Wrong went on his media offensive and it's been downhill since then.

BO plays the race card at every opportunity. Ten days ago, when opting out of federal campaign financing, we were told it was for the greater good. Oh, and because Republicans couldn't be trusted not to play the race card, as BO was dealing that very card from the bottom of the deck. Nader played it a few days later. The Clintons had played it earlier.

Darn near everyone, save Republicans, has dealt it. Yet BO says with a straight face that it will be Rep's who do the dastardly deed. It's good to be BO. You can accuse Rep's, and anyone else, of doing exactly what you do repeatedly. And get away with it. What a country! Now, let's change it.

"I'd like to see a revolution near my town, let'em come, cause I got more shotguns and ammo than they will ever own"

Party on, redneck. A little more work and less meth and nascar would be a good idea too. Enjoy filling up your shitty car.

"A little more work and less meth and nascar...blah...blah...blah."

You know, you're a hateful little bastard, aren't you, but a chicken shit as well, as you libs have big mouths on the internet. You're cowardly little shits everywhere else.

Go play with your guns, clownboy. Hope you and the mrs enjoyed the Pierre. The revolution is coming!

Just back from a little trip to Northern Michigan. Stayed overnight in Athens, Alabama on the way home. In Athens is a link of every chain restaurant in the West. Every one of them had a line in front of it with people, you know, Americans, waiting to get in. Large late-model SUVs, pickups, and cars were flying by down the busy main street. Where was the unemployment? Where were the gasoline-starved? Where were the troubled masses yearning for hope and change? Much the same could be said of Traverse City. Evidence of prosperity everywhere I went, 1200 miles of it.

Go ye out into the real world, chris/Boob, and let the truth your eyes will see shine some light into your closeted and dusty little brain.

Americans are convinced Congress sucks, but Americans do fine on their own. Congress's importance has been vastly overestimated,

May I suggest, chris/Boob, that you talk with Sen Dodd, Dude, if you need a mortgage? I understand he has a way to keep money in his pocket when it comes to such matters (A penny saved is a penny bribed.).

By the way, Bozo twins, you might talk with Obama about saving pennies on your mortgage as well (For pols, a penny saved is a penny bribed.).

And here I thought you had checked out in that trailer of yours - confirmation pending upon investigation of a foul odor by the police. Glad to hear that you and the rest of the 'necks are doing so well!

No, I didn't check out in my trailer. I did check out of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, however.

Shorter Fred: I went on vacation and didn't see anyone complaining. Pfff, $4 / gallon gasoline didn't stop people from driving their cars. Economy is doing great! See no evil, hear no evil, speech no evil bitches! McCain '08!

What's that? Starbucks laid off 12k people and shut down 600 stores? GM is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy? Well, that's just a problem for liberals. Skyrocketing grocery store prices and stagnant wages? Doesn't scare me cause I grow my own food.

Living in this hole in the ground, I can't help but conclude everything is peachy. *fingers in ears* No way Barack HUSSIEN Osama is going to win the election. My anecdotal evidence is overwhelming.

*snicker*
Just out of curiosity, Fred, what compelled you to drive from the tip of Michigan to the ass of Alabama? One would have thought that - what with your financial largess - you'd pay to fly.

Wow, i'm deeply, deeply impressed by your stay at some geriatric resort in northern Michigan. I can see that yellow-toohed old geezer John McCain sitting in a rocker on the front porch with a blanket on his lap there.

Was fresh Depends included with the breakfast and dinner??

Snicker, snucker, suckee, sucker. A declension for someone who likes them.

Shorter version of quote: "Fred, you wrong. You may be right factually, but since facts don't matter, I'm right, conceptually."

"Fred, what compelled you to drive from the tip of Michigan to the ass of Alabama?"

While any 4th grader who can read on a second grade level would know why one would go through Alabama to get home to Florida from Michigan....I must amit to some curiousity about about a 36-48 hour drive??????

It is probably a good idea to have only aged Presidents. Otherwise, some of them with many years of after-office ahead of them may run around like stunads making idiots of themselves and making their former voters and supporters feel duped and suckered. Carter and Clinton come to mind.

"Doesn't scare me cause I grow my own food." veggies and meat

Have no debt, know how to fix my own stuff, can find work (if I wanted)by COB today, Make people pay me to fish (teach yourself or starve), Can distill my own fuel, Can make salt.....damn, I could go on and on......

Why Wahoo, you can drive faster than 45 MPH can't you? The drive to Traverse City took me about 19 Hrs, actual driving time. I strongly recommend an overnight stay en route.

"Starbucks laid off 12k people and shut down 600 stores? GM is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy?"

Oh no! They should've had a strong union to keep this from happening...no, wait. OK, in GMs case, maybe just maybe they shouldve been building the vehicles people want. Shit! I have one.....Maybe vehicles the 'average' person wants.

"Why Wahoo, you can drive faster than 45 MPH can't you?"

Dude it takes me zackly 24 hours to get to OKC from here and it's only 200 miles farther than you drove. You scofflaw....you was speeding!!!
