House Speaker Nancy Pelosi didn't really say this, did she?
“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet,” she says impatiently when questioned. “I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.”
Good grief, she did!
God help us if these people control everything after November.

Ah, Save-The-Planet-Girl.
Unfortunately, Ms. Big Eyes, you were not elected to change the world, but to represent your district of San Francisco.
Although, there are many of us who agree with your local secessionists that S.F. should simply withdraw from the Union to become its own city-state.
It'd be a win-win deal: Y'all get your own country, and we'd have one less hive-mind of liberals buggering up our country's morals and business with your leftist nonsense.

For more entertaining Pelosi quotes, listen to her interview broadcasted on NPR yesterday. Pelosi painfully explains power, which further illustrates the extent of her narcissistic disorder. At one part in the interview, she explains that her philosophy is summed up by two words: Special Sauce.
As she explains it, special sauce is what the white male leaders of Congress acted like they had when she came in as a freshman. Special sauce was the secret ingredient they had around the "little women" they kept down. She discovered, *gasp*, that THEY HAD NO SPECIAL SAUCE. To this day, she reminds each and every one of those male oppressors that THERE IS NO SPECIAL SAUCE, so they can stop acting like special sauce exists. Because she knows better, and they don't have special sauce.
Yikes... seriously, if you can stomach it, read the interview and the book review on npr.org (apparently npr.gov link is temporarily down). The book is "Know Your Power" which I'm sure will be found for $1 at DNC member garage sales this fall as they're required to buy them by the pallet to provide for accountant-blessed campaign-restriction-free financial transfers to the speaker.

"Maybe this champion of the conservative movement can rescue you guys"
Until he drives off the bridge to nowhere and murders a woman, you're still waaaaaaay ahead.

The queen of the one liners, aka the "Sock Puppet" says:
"There WILL be drilling!"
No shit Sherlock! Despite the Botox queen and Humping Harry the American people will finally force this worthless Democratic congress to get off of their lazy asses and actually do something "for" the country instead of "to" the country for a change!

Hey Sac, dude are you trying to sell your house? Just curious about why chrissy seems obsessed with its value. Mine just went up 18 grand so I wouldn't mind some of that devaluing shit.
Posted by: WAHOO WILLIE | Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 03:31 PM
Strange isn't it how people are upset about the resale value of other people's homes....while the government is allowing developers to steal people's property to increase tax revenue?
Posted by: WAHOO WILLIE | Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 03:33 PM
Willie,
I've had this little interaction with the Sock Puppet that is Chris/Bob several times. Each time he ignores the fact that my house is worth more than 8 times the $72,500 I paid for it twenty years ago and will be paid of faster than it takes for this loser to make it to middle management at Taco Bell.
Seems when you live a dual Sock Puppet life you tend to repeat yourselves
often.

Can I get a little "Barry Fist Bump" there Bob er.. chris...whatever you call yourself today!

Sac I know what you mean, tax value on mine is 4 times what I paid for it. Had mine paid off and took an equity loan to build a shop, no plans to sell so why would I worry about resell value?

Messiah complexes run deep amongst liberals.
The vanity and narcissism are astounding. Others who want or wanted to save the world include: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Pol-Pot, Mao, Robespierre, Gengis Khan, Caesar, Castro, Chavez and Ayatolla Khomeini. The point of the list is not to say Pelosi is as evil as Mao but to compare demeanors and personalities and to show what narcissism (especially when coupled with a cult of personality) can lead to.

Ralph makes a good point.
For those of you who may like Japanese animation, there is a rather intriguing work called "Death Note" in which a young man is given the power of life and death over anyone he pleases, and without spoiling it, let's just say he develops a "god complex" in his attempt to change his world.
I guess Lord Acton's truism proves itself yet again:
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."
