Where Da "Whitey" Woman Tape At?

As of my last look around, still no actual tape of Michelle Obama using the expression "whitey" in a blast from the pulpit at Trinity Church. The latest development from Larry Johnson is the allegation that she was involved in a session there with Screwy Louie when the purported outburst took place:

I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!! When that image comes out it will enter the politcal(sic) ads hall of fame. It will be right up there with the little girl plucking daisy petals in the famous 1964 ad LBJ used against Barry Goldwater.

As for the"whitey" episode, there is already a competing narrative developing among Obama supporters. So far, the only consistency from all the libs is this is a Republican hit. What a joke. The R's would hold this to October and, frankly, I think they'd rather face the Oba-messiah, than Hillary, at this point. No way they'd knock Obi off now given the water he has been taking on for weeks. He's damaged goods and I imagine there's plenty more to mine from his past for the general election.

I'm withholding judgment on the entire affair until I see a tape. So far, this could simply be a Johnson / Clinton Camp attempt to smear Obama with a tape that doesn't back up the charges, or doesn't even exist.

From what I understand, it is a tape of Michelle Obama criticizing the Bush administration.

How you'd write it:

Why did Bush cut folks off medicaid?
Why did Bush let New Orleans drown?
Why did Bush do nothing about Jena?
Why did Bush put us in Iraq for no reason?
How you'd say it:

Why'd he cut folks off medicaid?
Why'd he let New Orleans drown?
Why'd he do nothing about Jena?
Why'd he put us in Iraq for no reason?
How Larry Johnson wants you to hear it:

Whitie cut folks off medicaid?
Whitie let New Orleans drown?
Whitie do nothing about Jena?
Whitie put us in Iraq for no reason?

As usual, sublime and succinct.

"--- The R's would hold this to October and, frankly, I think they'd rather face the Oba-messiah, than Hillary, at this point. No way they'd knock Obi off now given the water he has been taking on for weeks. ---"

Timing will be everything in any sort of October Surprise.

Launch the hit too early, and it could derail Obie before the coronation at the convention (and it would flip to Hillary by default given her relatively narrow trail in delegates, notwithstanding any remaining "undecided" supers who are still keeping their decision close to their chests).

Launch it WAY too early, and the Obama machine will have enough time to either quash, discredit, or weaken the credibility of the story.

Launch too late, and there won't be time enough for steam to build to derail Obie.

Given Hillary's tenacity and unwillingness to bow out in spite of an increasingly evident mathematical impossibility of her swiping the "nom" from under Obie's sainted feet, one has to wonder what sort of last resort trick the "Mistress of the Politics of Personal Destruction" has in store in the weeks leading up to the DemCon.

I don't think she will mount an independent campaign outside of the Democraticic Party's nomination, although such a thing would be disastrous to the Dems and give McLame a fighting chance.

Therefore, barring any plans she may have for an indy run, Hillary has the most to gain if the October Surprise comes a few months early, leaving her as the presumptive nominee and an energized party base against which McLame would have to dig deep and fast to overcome the Almighty Clinton Slime Machine.

Crap it is 9AM CST and still now word! Why did they get my hopes up?!!

While we await the alleged tape, here are some more America haters at U.C. Irvine who, we are so often told by the trools who come here, do not exist.

Thanks to Little Green Footballs.

"-- Crap it is 9AM CST and still now word! Why did they get my hopes up?!! --"

All over Digg there was talk of real live footage of an alien autopsy to be released last Friday. Did April 1st happen twice this year?

"-- So far, the only consistency from all the libs is this is a Republican hit. --"

Well, there was one other consistency. Libs across the board continued to question the tape's existence. Where, pray tell, is the beef? Maybe they're keeping the Obama tape back with all the WMDs that got discovered in Iraq. October surprise, bitches!

Isn't Larry Johnson the guy Dan called a moron last year?

Whitey get my hopes up like that!?

"As of my last look around, still no actual tape of Michelle Obama using the expression "whitey" in a blast from the pulpit at Trinity Church."

Which, of course, will do nothing to stop the usual suspects from lying about it as per usual.

Does Obama have any supporters left? I mean besides those in Mass. and the District of Columbia. He will win those just like McGovern did in 1972. The only way Obama can win now is with HIllary as VP and it is looking more and more like that will not happen. However JFK put LBJ on his ticket so anything can happen.

What a week its been for Barack Obama!

First he committed a Bush-speak, I look forward to buying a Daily Obamamism calendar in a few years.

Then, he claimed a [real-life] uncle liberated Auschwitz – Liar! It was Buchenwald!

We discovered Obama is a politician and plays hardball politics. No kidding, not only that but he doesn’t walk on water.

Once upon a time Obama belonged to Acorn: Acorn’s radical concerns include lessening foreclosures, affordable health care for all, equal housing opportunity, quality education, raising the minimum wage. Too Radical!

Whitey - Now this, There is a tape showing the candidate’s wife discussing the shambles that is the Bush Presidency. In it she uses the term whitey. There is a tape. There is a tape. There is a tape.

I hope this coming week is just a spine-tingling in Obamaland.

"-- Does Obama have any supporters left? --"

Hehehe. Hehe. *snicker*
I swear to god, you guys are the greatest.

"--- Does Obama have any supporters left? ---"

I'd say better than 60% of the Democraticic Party, although a good number of the entrenched Hillarites may yank a lever for fellow moderate Democrat-lite John McCain out of petty vengeance for the DNC's ham-handed attempt to deal in the MI and FL delegates "fairly".

Hopefully the resulting mess will be enough for Bush to justify suspending the Constitution and making himself dictator for life.

...

...

ok, ok, I kid about that last part.

Although I am looking forward to seeing the hippies and marxists cutting each other down at the Donkey Konvention, since my hopes for a conservative president are pretty much shot this year... save for a miracle on the order of aliens coming down in their UFOs and taking McCain to Mars, thus allowing for Ron Paul to take the nomination for the Pubbies.

Seems to me "Why'd he [insert action here]?" and "Whitey [insert action here]." shouldn't sound the same. One's a question (the voice goes up at the end of the sentence); the other's a statement (the voice goes down at the end of the sentence).

rofl wishing for the tape to be some sort of October surprise? I can't wait till you guys are waiting for a massive terrorist attack to happen merely so your ideological brethren can win an election. Hopefully, for seeker's sake, you plead to God at least 1 or 2 times for something else first. If you have any taste that is.

"I can't wait till you guys are waiting for a massive terrorist attack to happen merely so your ideological brethren can win an election."

Well LOL since the two attacks on our soil occurred AFTER the elections then your point is pointless.

I keep trying to convince myself that people are really not as blindly stupid as LOL however I'm finding this impossible to do.

Latest news about the Central Ohio jihad; it doesn't appear to be going well, just as in Iraq. Do you feel safer now? You should.

"Wicked Jews" and "False Jews" are promoting gaiety and Liberal Hollywood? Who knew!

See the tape of Minister Wrathofkhan.

Is there a vast Left-wing conspiracy? No, there are a lot more than one.

"--- Hopefully, for seeker's sake, you plead to God at least 1 or 2 times for something else first. If you have any taste that is. ---"

May God have mercy on us, and draw the hearts of my American countrymen to a sincere repentance and to Christ's salvation.

However, let no one here think that God does not actively judge nations in this present age; for as He raised up evil kings like Zedekiah king of Judah and Hoshea king of Israel, these same kings sinned exceedingly wickedly, further leading their people into judgment.

These kings, and the people under them further weakened their nations, and God raised up oppressors like Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and Shalmaneser king of Assyria who took those nations into captivity.

Israel (the northern kingdom of 10 tribes) was utterly deposed and its inheritance given to the Assyrians and other foreigners who knew not the LORD, the God of Israel, and those Israelites were scattered to the four corners of the earth.

Consider that the reign of an Obama or a McCain may be as much a judgment from God for our national wickedness, and may very well be a portent of this nation's irrelevance and reduction to a fourth-rate power in the global community in years to come, if not its very existence.

Unless we repent -- unless we as a nation, turn our hearts back to God (2 Chronicles 7:14) we shall not escape God's wrath and His fierce judgment stored up for this nation for our gross idolatry, love of mammon, gluttony, greed, envy, violence, murders, and sexual immorality.

If we do turn back to God, we shall be able to once again be a light for God to the nations.

Hitchens kicks McClellan in the pants and recommends a book better able than McClellan's to explain what happened in and around the White House in the runup to the Iraq war. (In Slate via Instapundit and PJM).

http://www.slate.com/id/2192696/

Fred,

Please share with me the untruths in McClellan's book.

I've heard a lot of personal attacks but not one attack on the truthiness of the book.

"-- Please share with me the untruths in McClellan's book. --"

There was a great deal in the book that we all found "puzzling".

"-- Hitchens kicks McClellan in the pants and recommends a book better able than McClellan's to explain what happened in and around the White House in the runup to the Iraq war. (In Slate via Instapundit and PJM). --"

LOLGASM! He recommends Douglas Feith over Scott McClellan? That's like taking raw shit over cream of shit soup. I mean, you lose either way, but at least you can pretend you're consuming something worth eating with the latter.

I mean, wow. You have to be really, really, really in the bag for the administration to prop up Doug Feith as your go-to guy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Feith#Professional_criticism

He's been riped on by half the White House staff, with the coup de grace being:

"-- Franks, according to Plan of Attack, says of Feith: "I have to deal with the stupidest fucking guy on the planet almost every day." (p.281).[31][32] In his autobiography, American Soldier, Franks describes a conversation with his subordinates who were upset with Rumsfeld, Feith and Paul Wolfowitz; Franks tells them, "Here's the deal, guys. I know OSD - Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Feith - are demanding a lot. But they are not the enemy. Don't start thinking good guys-bad guys. We're all on the same side." They could see I was serious. "I'll worry about OSD, all of them - including Doug Feith, who's getting a reputation around here as the dumbest fucking guy on the planet," I continued. "Your job is to make me feel warm and fuzzy. Look, we're all professionals. Let's earn our pay."[33] --"

I mean, Feith? You might as well turn to Donald Rumsfeld for advice on pre-war planning. Or Alberto Gonzales on how to sharpen your memory skills.

Wow. Yeah, Hitchens has been really knocking them back since about 2005, but he must have really taken a spill off the wagon if he's using Feith as a benchmark.

LLame-o,

Read the Hitchens article before you attack the messenger. His point is that, unlike McClellen, Feith WAS THERE. And his book is a well-documented, first hand account...not a hatchet job from a disgruntled, empty suit.

BTW, McClellen never says that Bush lied about Iraq. He uses all kinds of qualifiers to describe Bush negatively, but never states that he lied. Because he never did.

Oh, and by the way, Armitage outed Plame, not Rove or Cheney. McClellen is unreliable, at best.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/06/mcclellan_on_plame.html

Facts, people. Facts.

Why does Dick Cheney hate the Republican base?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24939201/

"not a hatchet job from a disgruntled, empty suit."

Quite amazing how the white house talking points permeate throughout the 28%ers.

"Facts, people. Facts."

I'm with you. So what were the factual inaccuracies in McClellan's book?

"I'm with you. So what were the factual inaccuracies in McClellan's book?"

Let's start with the author, too gutless to speak his mind when his check was on the line. Thought the same of Dork Morris.... Irrelavent to me though. While I respect the fact that anyone who agrees with you and DaLLama is to be immediately made a saint, incapable nefarious activity. I would caution those who may be swayed by your "see, we wuz right all along" attitude to read the book with a jaundiced eye......see I use liver problems rather than objective eye because....well, you're not capable of objectivity. Dont waste time researching facts when your mind is made up....attack other peiople for questioning like you normally do. It's about yin and yang.

BTW, In more years than i care to recall working for DoD....I NEVER heard the SecDef refered to as OSD. Not calling names, just saying I smell fish.

"Let's start with the author, too gutless to speak his mind when his check was on the line."

I'm with you here Willie.

However, I have yet to hear of any factual inaccuracies. Just personal attacks.

And I by no means think he's a saint. As a matter of fact I consider him a co conspirator.

"However, I have yet to hear of any factual inaccuracies. Just personal attacks."

I have no intention of wasting the time to read the thing...not caring and all. So I dont feel the need to look for inaccuraces. For all the media hyperbole I gather it's just more of everything we've already heard. Just seems funny that there 'seems' to be nothing different, written by a guy who was ....let's say pushed out of a job rather than fired. After my "gutless" remark, my own attacks are done. I'll let the usual BDS crew take this "eye witness" account as gospel.

Frankly, I got more jazzed when Powell walked off.........there was something wrong behind that.

I have no intention of reading it myself. And wouldn't even consider buying it.

My point is it seems unlikely that he lied in the book as I would certainly think the lies would be quickly highlighted. When I hear the constant repetition of the same words being used in personal attacks it leads me to believe he is telling the truth.

The whole lot of em has been a disaster and myself, like the rest of country, am ready to move on.

I wonder about this and would appreciate any input. I don't like the idea of vehicle checkpoints but am taking a wait a see attitude.

I posted this yesterday. Looks like it is coming true today.
"The only way Obama can win now is with Hillary as VP and it is looking more and more like that will not happen. However JFK put LBJ on his ticket so anything can happen".
Remember this: What can happen will happen.
One of the postive things about living 70 years is that you have seen all this before. What goes around comes around. Just like 1960 politics makes strange bedfellows.

"I wonder about this and would appreciate any input."

Harpie, Here in the land between Ft Bragg and Camp LeJuene this kind of thing happens once in a while. Bragg has a great big area where they use the locals as insurgents, partisans, whatever to train Rangers. USMC is after an urban environment (they were looking for a blighted area) where they can do some training. They try hard these days to make certain the locals know why they are there and what they're up to. Right after Vietnam, a local deputy had a heart attack when armed SEALS "attacked" a bridge he was sitting beside. See, no one even told the sheriff's office there was an exercise. They aren't going to search your vehicle without you agreeing to play with them. (See Posse Commitatus)nor are they going to 'f' with you in any other way besides some noise and slow moving traffic.

"leads me to believe he is telling the truth."

Harpie I think you likely went into this with your mind made up that all was true. Preconceived notion. I've learned something about media and such. Sooner or later they talk about something you know intimately....say they start skawking about how Asian imports are ALL made by slaves or child labor and blah blah. You'll catch any untruths from your own experiences. It's hard to be objective with certain things. I just read the ATF report from a fire in Charleston, SC that killed 9 fire fighters. Damn thing was a tragedy of errors that cost men their lives. Objectively, I would say that I may have made some mistakes and had many of the same issues myself. Some things were honest anomylies, communications for one. In reality as hard as I tried to be objective I know that there were errors committed that a first day rookie should have seen. Strange and sad since one of the dead guys was first day on the job. Point is that it's hard to be objective when you 'think' you already have the answers.

I thought "Posse Commitatus" was no longer thanks to W.

And to be honest they have done a poor job of communicating the marine exercises to the community. It is due to start tomorrow and the first I heard of it was today thru an e mail from a friend. And just spoke with my neighbor who knew nothing about it.

And your post about preconceived notions is well taken.

I would gladly listen to and hope to hear more about just what the truth is.

I'm not going to hold my breath, though.

"I thought "Posse Commitatus" was no longer thanks to W."

Nope! There were a couple changes right after 9/11 the USCG can be used for maritime law enforcement (they are DHS not DoD) second was after Katrina where now a President can "offer" help to the states and in extreme cases (like Katrina) say we're coming anyway.

Sorry local media/government isn't watching out for you.....they should have been doing PSAs for a couple weeks....not since yesterday. NBD man, sit back and enjoy the show.

I might add I only get the Sunday newspaper and don't watch television.

FYI

"Posse Commitatus"

Recent congressionally passed law, now repealed, may have explicitly given this authority to the President. HR5122 also known as the John Warner Defense Authorization Act was signed by the president on Oct 17, 2006 John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007. Section 1076 Text of Hr5122 is titled "Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies". Removing the legalese from the text, and combining multiple sentences, it provides that: The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines hinders the execution of laws or deprives people of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. The actual text is on page 322-323 of the legislation. As of 2008, these changes were repealed, changing the text of the law back to the original 1807 wording.

The Clintons are like Madonna. They will never go away. Hillary now says she will consider taking the VP slot. I wonder how Obama likes to hear that. How will he like Bill hanging around the White House? Will Obama take Hillary for VP? Sounds just like a soap opera to me. Will he or won't he? Will she force him to let her on the ticket? Sure. It is the only way they can win. We will never be rid of the Clintons. They simply WILL NOT go away quietly or any other way. She is damned and determined to get back in that White House.
Interestingly the VP mansion is one block from their house in DC. Really right next door to it. But it is a VERY prestigous address that I am sure SHE and Bill would love to occupy.
Now Johnny Mac can put Condi Rice on his ticket and let the fun begin. A debate between Condi and Hillary would be fun to watch.
By the way I have been for McCain from the get go. He is only 4 years older than I am. This is the last time I will get a chance to vote for someone older than I am. Plus I like him and his policies. Go Johnny Go!

"the original 1807 wording."

Which allowed troops to be levied to put down the rebellion in the south, allowed for forcing "bonus marchers" out of Washington, allowed little black children to go to school in Arkansas.........need some more?

need some more?

No. I was just trying to clear things up for both us Seems there was a change as I had thought. And then it went away.

I'm not contesting your original post.

"Will she force him to let her on the ticket?"

Never rid of the Clingons........scary thought. I do see them and Dean trying to force their way onto the dem ticket for the big show. It's doubtful that the party will pull some trick to put her on top though. Talk about total anarchy!! I think even I would be willing to fix bayonets over such foolishness. Glad you a Johnny Mac supporter. Wish I could get enthused about any of these people but I guess the kind of people who impress me are dead or close to it, there isn't a nickle's difference among the whole crowd.

"We will never be rid of the Clintons. They simply WILL NOT go away quietly or any other way."

That's right, gramps!

We're cool Harpie... we have the mature ability to agree to disagree and I enjoy "talking" with you.

Speaking of cramps...................

joeb,

"Hillary now says she will consider taking the VP slot. I wonder how Obama likes to hear that."

I would think he likes it. If it helps him win she's available. If he thinks she doesn't help him win he can choose someone else. It's actually quite simple.

"Will she force him to let her on the ticket?"

I'd love to hear how she could possibly do this. Please elaborate.

"A debate between Condi and Hillary would be fun to watch."

Agree. It would be a good chance for all of America to see Condi incompetence firsthand. (August 6 warning - Osama determined to attack with the U.S.)

"This is the last time I will get a chance to vote for someone older than I am."

I like that. Dam good reason.

"Plus I like... ...his policies."

Like? Immigration? 100 year occupation of Iraq? Bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran.

Same here, Willie.

You're a reasonable man and I also enjoy our conversations.

I don't think we disagree as much as you think.

Harpo, please share with us the truths in McClellan's book. This might be a little tough, since you haven't read it, but I know a nit like this won't stop you. I have no opinion about it because I haven't read it. However, unlike that omniscient wonder Moe, I have respect for some of Hitchens's views. That is what I "shared with" you, not my opinion of what I have not read.

I'm still just rolling in the aisles on that whole "Douglas Feith is credible" thing. The man has been publicly referred to as a moron by more people within the White House itself than anyone I could name. He's got all the intellectual integrity of Dan Quayle. And he's the go-to guy for insider information.

The wingnuts are airborne. There's a shark below them somewhere.

Hi Fred,

Here's one. And in my opinion McClellan is way too forgiving. These guys didn't get to where they where being stupid. (though W sure makes that argument look weak)

downplaying the major reason for going to war and emphasizing a
lesser motivation that could arguably be dealt with in other ways
(such as intensified diplomatic pressure); trying to make the WMD
threat and the Iraqi connection to terrorism appear just a little more
certain, a little less questionable, than they were; quietly ignoring
or disregarding some of the crucial caveats in the intelligence and
minimizing evidence that pointed in the opposite drection; using
innuendo and implication to encourage Americans to believe as fact
some things that were unclear and possibly false (such as the idea
that Saddam had an active nuclear weapons program) and other things
that were overplayed or completely wrong (such as implying Saddam
might have an operational relationship with al Qaeda).
