The Timing Of Obama's Race Play

I think the timing of Obama playing the race card could prove to be somewhat revealing of a portion of his general election strategy.

This is the first time Obama's coverage has turned so completely negative due to his rejection of Public Financing.

So, what does he do? He attempts to make the discussion all about Race. If his move is meant to silence critics and change the subject to one that favors him in the eyes of the liberal media, then he's doing the very same thing the usual suspects like Sharpton and Jackson have been doing for years.

I also believe that if he does see Race as his trump card, to be played whenever he needs a boost, he's destined to lose in the Fall. Americans don't elect viktums as President, though they aren't adverse to making them such after they get in!

The Belgians are largely powerless to prevent these roving gangs of boys from exacting their vile lusts upon their women. They have been emasculated by the social engineering projects that their wretched socialism has wrought upon them.

I have nothing against voluntary measures to protect the environment. Conserving (ha! there's that conservative root word, eh?) energy and resources is something everyone should consider.

Not pooping where you or your neighbours have to sleep and eat --- that's just common sense.

But the free market should be useful to help offer solutions ... which is why cap-and-trade ideas may not necessarily be a bad idea.

For many things, the market and freedom of choice can be far more effective than oppressive mandates which slow down the wider market.

I don't find it quaint at all. Most of Shari'ah Law's punishments are beyond the pale for their sheer barbarity.

However much I disagree with the jurisprudence and constitution of Shari'ah based legal systems, and the seeming arbitrary nature (i.e. "kangaroo") of their verdicts for such "religious" offenses (heresy, apostasy, etc.) for the more practical matters of punishing violent crime and property crimes, the punishments prescribed are effective in terms of preventing the criminal from ever repeating his crimes.

I discuss possible implementations of a more punitive and appropriate scale of penalties for crimes of particularly heinous, vile, and evil character, that could spare the God-fearing and law-abiding taxpayers of this nation much money and ensure that evildoers know that there is certain and swift justice for their wickedness further down.

The threat lies in liberals attempting to disarm private citizens, as well as force more of their white guilt and the "minorities-can-do-no-wrong" multi-culti lies on the general population and unrestricted and unchecked immigration which allows more criminals and sex offenders into this nation.

First off, you are lying. According to the statistics compiled by RAINN ( http://www.rainn.org/get-information/statistics/frequency-of-sexual-assault ) the "every two seconds" statistic is for _sexual_assault_, not rape. RAINN defines "rape" as vaginal, oral, or anal penetration. This is largely consistent with how most states in the US, and presumably many nations in the developed world define rape.

"Sexual assault", on the other hand, is a catch-all rather loosely defined that can range from rape - penetration - to grabbing or other non-consensual, but non-penetrative physical contact down to verbal threats without any contact, and even consensual sex between minors (statutory rape) in jurisdictions where the performance of sexual acts between minors (under age 18) is forbidden or where the age differential is outside the bounds permitted by states that allow for consensual sexual contact for minors with certain age bands.

Now you have attempted to expand your definition of rape to include all sorts of sexual assault which can open a similar window in the case of rapes and sexual assaults in Europe and particularly in the Nordic/Teutonic countries which have seen a marked uptick in sexual violence perpetrated by their immigrant (and chronically un[der]employed) Muslim populations... obviously muddying the discussion and making the research requirement much more cumbersome.

Logically, it follows that if we must include the broader category of sexual assaults (which arguably, is no small crime either by magnitude or by numbers) in the USA, then the discussion must expand beyond the comparatively narrow bounds of Muslim rapes on European native women.

What you have done is turned the discussion - more so than an "apples v. oranges" comparison into an "apples vs. the entire supermarket".

In absolute terms, we can say that US rape rates are probably on a par if not greater than any one European nation due to the sheer difference in population size and the intermixing (diversity) of our populations.

Now there's a surprise... socialist Canada is per capita ahead of the US, and the UK, France, and Spain and Iceland trail marginally behind the US.

What is not reflected here is unreported rapes (obviously) and the unusually high incarceration rate of the USA along with its attendant incidence of prison rape.

Furthermore, these statistics do not differentiate between singleton aggressor rapists, and incidences of gang rapes, and furthermore does not take into account ethnic factors: that rapes would be underreported, especially in areas with high Arab and Muslim populations, where maintaining "sexual honour" is often a matter of life or death.

While it is not deniable that the USA is rather high by any metric concerning rape, there is a difference between the major incidence of rape in the USA (disproportionately large in the areas of prison rape and date rape among college age kids) and that as found in Muslim "occupied" Europe, where the typical pattern is Muslim gang rapes against non-acquaintance or first-acquaintance European females.

The European rates are a bit more difficult to suss out, since authoritative data is typically released in their native languages:

Au contraire, my dear sure-footed, moon-demon worshiping Andean beast: capital punishment for crimes of a especially heinous nature are not necessarily "cruel and unusual", especially considering the manner in which most states carry out the death penalty (lethal injection or electric chair). Historically, hangings and firing squads have also been used by US and state governments.

Granted, the SCOTUS has all but banned capital punishment for any case of rape, so our only hope is that someday the case is re-visited by a future court that is less liberal in its makeup, or that a conservative Congress at some future point removes the SCOTUS's jurisdiction over the death penalty i.a.w. Article III Section 2 of the US Constitution:

"---- In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make. ----"

While the Court's interpretation in Kennedy v. Louisiana is that capital punishment upon child rapists exceeds the C&U punishment limitation, one could hardly argue that in terms of the objective "cruelty", or barbarity of the punishment that would otherwise be administered pales in comparison to what you older forms of state-sanctioned executions, including but not limited to drawing and quartering, decapitations, eviscerations, crushing, crucifixion, impalement, immolation (burning at the stake, etc.) drownings, stoning the guilty with stones, to name but a few.

Or even non-capital punishments such as manual amputation and surgical castration. Perhaps these punishments should be tested under the scrutiny of the courts: a rapist with neither hands nor genitalia cannot achieve much.

Make no mistake: if we were to make criminals truly pay for their crimes (restitution for monetary/property related crimes) and suffer for crimes against the persons of others (ranging from community services/involuntary servitude to corporal punishments in the case of nuisance crimes and misdemeanors) and far more severe in the case of violent crimes and sex offenses (ranging from amputation to surgical castration to public hangings)... our crime rates would decrease overnight.

In one respect, this is what governments have been constituted for, by Divine Authority: to provide protection for the innocent and the weak, and to punish evildoers; to enforce the laws of the land.

Even under Biblical authority, the government that obeys its Divine mandate is not required to show mercy to evildoers. (I write this to point out that God's desire for mercy is a quality to be shown by individuals, and commanded to be shown by Christians, to other individuals)...

Wherefore it is written that swift and sure justice shall "remove evil from the land".

Of course, a deeply pocketed and deeply vested prison industry would opposed this with tooth and greedy claws... for their cash cows would be emptied in short order, were we to earnestly cut off the worst offenders from the face of the earth, and release misdemeanor offenders after their restitution is paid or their bodies chastised with the sting of the cane or whip for their foolishness.

In the case that all of this is too over the top, then I might suggest that we keep the current penal system, but make it more amenable to a place of punishment and not a mere warehouse and a college of criminals:

Let their diets be reduced to subsistence rations, say no more than 15 Kcal per kilogram of body mass (about 1500 Kcal for a 220 lbs. man), using only spare rations of turkey, rice porridge, or white bread with bitter vegetables, which will also have the added effect of reducing instances of prison rape, and saving the taxpayers from paying additional medical expenses for overweight prison population.

No more yards full of free-weights where they can become hulking "thugs", or unnecessary communications amongst each other where they learn to be even more hardened criminals... but a steady regime of forced labour in chain gangs to keep their minds properly engaged, instead of staring at walls for the rest of their natural lives.

The goal of any penal system should be to discourage the doing of evil.
