Pol-O-tics, As Usual

Let's see what the O-man has been up to, shall we?

Breaking his promise on public financing.

Oh, and he's been caught shoving some supporters under the carpet because they were wearing head scarves.

He's had to distance himself from any number of controversial and even criminal elements from his recent past. And get his wife a makeover, to boot.

He all but admitted to deceiving voters on his NAFTA stance.

And his mounting number of serious gaffes the media tends to downplay make Bush look like a political scholar, no matter how much the Left would seek to unjustly run down Bush's intelligence.

Does Obama represent change you simply can't believe in? Or change not even worth taking seriously? The juries out, but clearly he doesn't represent much new or positive when it comes to political leadership in this country.

The man's a joke. And if he weren't black, Hillary would have knocked him out early so he could get back to being the partisan hack and Senate back bencher he's barely qualified to be.

I almost feel bad for the idiots who are going to pin their hopes on this guy the media is going to bust a gut to get elected. Even if he is elected, he'll make Carter almost look like an average failed President.

"no matter how much the Left would seek to unjustly run down Bush's intelligence."

He reads from a teleprompter and signs whatever Dick puts on his desk. I'm pretty sure you could train an African Gray to do that. And the parrot might even be able to speak extemporaneously without 6 minutes of "in other words... what I'm tryin' to say is... I understand that."

And isn't it a little weird how he's constantly reminding us that he "understands" things? If you don't "understand" things, you shouldn't be President. It's like a nurse at the Women's Clinic showing off her vagina to her coworkers every day. We get it, you've met the most basic qualification for the job, now could you start doing it?

"Breaking his promise on public financing."

I like it for two reasons.

1) I don't like people sucking off the taxpayers teat when private individuals can handle it.

2) If I'm not mistaken he will have 2 to 3 times the money the GOP gets from the government handout.

Looks like "Barry O" tried to toss the Muzzies under the bus, too:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/18/obama.event.ap/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

Dan,

You're saying here what more and more people are saying. Obama is Chauncey Gardner. His campaign or his presidency (hopefully his campaign) is going to run aground in spectacular fashion. For the sake of us all, I hope the country figures it out before it's too late.

Do you remember when Obama said there were 18,000 people killed in the Kansas tornadoes of last year? He was straight-faced about it, too. That gaffe right there showed his promise in full flower. The media quickly took out their whisk brooms, lifted the carpet and went to work.

BTW, the prior comment from "scar" shows the unhinged vitrol that we can expect from the Left who is pinning all their hope and worship upon Obama. When he is exposed as the "naked emperor" that he is, it will get pretty ugly. Buckle up.

I erred. I googled "Obama tornado gaffe" and he said that only "10,000" had been wiped out by the tornadoes last year ... which would make the event by far the greatest natural disaster in U.S. history.

Does he have a site to correct all the gaffes he is making, too?

As part of his penance for dragging the country through his fraudulent campaign, Obama should have to write on a blackboard 10,000 times: "I am sorry William F. Buckley, er Dan Quayle."

"--- 1) I don't like people sucking off the taxpayers teat when private individuals can handle it. ---"

This is appropriate.

Only super-wealthy, elite lawyers should get to be POTUS (or any other [s]elected federal office for that matter). And the occasional actor.

Well, I mean, that pretty much is the way things are, regardless of whether or not someone takes public campaign financing, no?

"--- The media quickly took out their whisk brooms, lifted the carpet and went to work. ---"

As if they would allow their precious, darling socialist champion get any dustbunnies on his tin armour.

Come on Harpo you really can't be defending your boy's constant backtracking and policy shifting.

The pledge to use public financing for the general election was endorsed early on by both he and McCain. The concept of using only public financing would ensure that both candidates wouldn't be in the pockets of their major contributors. McCain continues to show why he is the only one running who has any chance to make a difference of "changing the politics as usual" that your boy claims to be for.

Barry claimed that he was a champion of public financing and would do so in the general election. Here are his exact words so you can't use moonbat talking point #10 (That was taken out out of context!).

http://www.commoncause.org/atf/cf/%7Bfb3c17e2-cdd1-4df6-92be-bd4429893665%7D/MDNNATIONALRELEASE.PDF

(including the link to the original post so you can read his lying words for yourself)

"Yes. I have been a long-time advocate for public financing of campaigns
combined with free television and radio time as a way to reduce the influence of
moneyed special interests. I introduced public financing legislation in the Illinois State
Senate, and am the only 2008 candidate to have sponsored Senator Russ Feingold’s (DWI)
bill to reform the presidential public financing system. In February 2007, I proposed
a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election.
My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return
excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general
election. My proposal followed announcements by some presidential candidates that they
would forgo public financing so they could raise unlimited funds in the general election.
The Federal Election Commission ruled the proposal legal, and Senator John McCain (r-
AZ) has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic
nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to
preserve a publicly financed general election."

He is a lying slimeball that will do anything to get elected! This man's got no moral compass besides his rev and the psycho priest. He will say and do anything to get elected. I wonder how long it would have taken for this pussy to break at the Hanoi Hilton?

Then you have his wife on the View undergoing the most dramatic transformation in history. Man that change over from "Atilla the Hun" to Mother Teresa was amazing. His handlers continue to show their media skills.

Your blind allegance to the "annointed one" speaks volumes to your own lack of common sense that this guy continues to exploit. Soros and his far left pals continue to own you and your party. You and your friends are the one's being played here.

From Opensecrets:

Obama has raised 45% of his money from donors making under $200 contributions, 28% from those making $2,300 and 5% from those maxing out at $4,600.

McCain has raised 24% of his money from donors making under $200 contributions, 46% from those making $2,300 and 8% from those maxing out at $4,600.

Obama has publicly told his supporters he doesn't want them donating to third party 527 groups to run ads against McCain. McCain has made no such call and won't even try to rein them in.

McCain used his FEC primary application to secure a loan when he was broke and then backed out of public funding for the primaries. He and his wife have used her jet for campaign travel without reimbursing her. These are FEC violations not just some silly claim. If McCain wants to compete maybe he ought to find a couple of million of average citizens to contribute $25 each instead of letting a few Texas oil millionaires fund smear TV ad campaigns for him. He can't so he won't.

"There is even a statement on his official campaign website reading, quote, ‘Obama has never been a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.’ But Obama’s half brother is not so sure. Malik Obama tells The Jerusalem Post that, ‘if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.’”"

Hey Dan,

You have forgotten this one on your smear campaign. Not a shred of it is true but that hasn't stopped you yet.

Nooooooooooo! Obama isn't taking tax payer dollars to finance his campaign! This is terrible, horrible, very bad news for the Democrats. Why isn't Obama leeching off the government teet to sell his communist lies to the American Public? Why is he relying on a massive war chest of small dollar donations raised from politically minded campaign supporters?

Remember when the GOP was absolutely aghast at the idea of publicly funded political campaigns? Man, I remember when the original campaign finance law was passed. They screeeeamed. And they hooooowled. Oh it was so very, very unfair that Democrats got to access extra money that they couldn't raise through fund raising when Republicans were forced to go to corporate dinner after lobbyist golfing trip in order to raise two or three times as much as the opposition.

"-- Let's see what the O-man has been up to, shall we? --"

And in all of this we have one link! The rest of the smears just weren't interesting enough to back up with actual evidence. Better to throw shit against the wall and pray something sticks.

That's some high quality journalism you've got there, Dan. But you missed the one about how Barack Obama is trying to cover up his relationship with Bat Boy. ZOMG!

Sac,

"Then you have his wife on the View undergoing the most dramatic transformation in history."

OK, if you want to bring wives into it though I cannot imagine why.

Cindy McCain stole drugs from her own charity. That's "stole" as in a felony. And "drugs" as in another felony. From a friggin charity. Her own! Nice.

http://thismodernworld.com/4353

"Only super-wealthy, elite lawyers should get to be POTUS"

Just who is the super wealthy here. The Obamas who have made a few million themselves. Or the McCains who inherited a couple of hundred million.

"Well, I mean, that pretty much is the way things are, regardless of whether or not someone takes public campaign financing, no?"

No. It's not. See Bill Clinton. See Barack Obama.

Sac,

"Come on Harpo you really can't be defending your boy's constant backtracking and policy shifting."

You have got to be kidding.

* McCain criticized TV preacher Jerry Falwell as “an agent of intolerance” in 2002, but has since decided to cozy up to the man who said Americans “deserved” the 9/11 attacks. (Indeed, McCain has now hired Falwell’s debate coach.)

* McCain used to oppose Bush’s tax cuts for the very wealthy, but he reversed course in February.

* In 2000, McCain accused Texas businessmen Sam and Charles Wyly of being corrupt, spending “dirty money” to help finance Bush’s presidential campaign. McCain not only filed a complaint against the Wylys for allegedly violating campaign finance law, he also lashed out at them publicly. In April, McCain reached out to the Wylys for support.

* McCain supported a major campaign-finance reform measure that bore his name. In June, he abandoned his own legislation.

* McCain used to think that Grover Norquist was a crook and a corrupt shill for dictators. Then McCain got serious about running for president and began to reconcile with Norquist.

* McCain took a firm line in opposition to torture, and then caved to White House demands.

* McCain gave up on his signature policy issue, campaign-finance reform, and won’t back the same provision he sponsored just a couple of years ago.

* McCain was against presidential candidates campaigning at Bob Jones University before he was for it.

* McCain was anti-ethanol. Now he’s pro-ethanol.

* McCain was both for and against state promotion of the Confederate flag.

* And now he’s both for and against overturning Roe v. Wade.

A few shots of Botox and the $29.95 paint job did nothing to erase the lifetime of racist public education and 20 years of 'God Damn America' religious education. You can repaint and recover all you want but the rot is still there. So far we've only been called 'Rednecks', 'Cracka's' and 'Whitey' in public. What have we been called in private? Got to have more 'white people' front and center on stage, but you Arabs with the headscarves get the he** out of the picture.

Actually, Obama didn't reverse any previous stance. He previously said he would be willing to negotiate comprehensive limits that included 527s and other outside groups. However, McCain made it very clear that he had no interest in such limits on outside groups.

"In the past couple of weeks, our campaign counsels met and it was immediately clear that McCain's campaign had no interest in the possibility of an agreement," Burton said. "When asked about the RNC's months of raising and spending for the general election, McCain's campaign could only offer its expectation that the Obama campaign would probably, sooner or later, catch up. And shortly thereafter, Senator McCain signaled to the 527s that they were free to run wild, without objection."

And without comprehensive limits on all political players, it made little sense for Obama to tell his millions of small-dollar donors that they couldn't invest financially in his campaign.

Of course, Republicans will whine that Obama "broke his promise". They've got no other choice. McCain is getting crushed financially, and has little of the popular support that Obama enjoys.

You gotta laugh at the GOPers. Horrible move by Obama'

Instaed of $84 million tax dollars he has opted for $500 million from small donors.

Already he has begun his quest to stop the wealthy from sucking the government teat. Cheers to you, Senator Obama.

Kenneth P. Vogel

"Obama's campaign, which has shattered fundraising records, won’t accept the federal system’s $84 million in taxpayer money, but also won’t be subject to its $84 million spending limit.

McCain, the Arizona senator whose fundraising has lagged substantially behind Obama’s, has said he will accept public financing, making it likely he will rely on the Republican National Committee to help make up the difference between the public grant and Obama’s unprecedented fundraising potential.

From the beginning of the race through the end of April, Obama had raised $266 million for his presidential campaign, compared with $93 million raised by McCain.

Obama’s fundraising advantage isn’t just about the numbers, though. He’s raised his cash primarily from smaller donors over the Internet, freeing him from the time-consuming and expensive fundraising circuit upon which McCain has relied.

If Obama’s campaign keeps up the pace of small online contributions — both from new and returning donors — and is able to win donations from supporters of his vanquished rival, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, it’s estimated he’d be able to raise as much as $500 million."

So Scrapiron.

What do you think of Cindy McCain stealing drugs from her own charity?

And unlike your baseless accusations against Michelle Obama, Cindy McCain admitted it.

"-- A few shots of Botox and the $29.95 paint job... --"

That's a low blow at Cindy McCain. Who do you think you are? Her husband?

"-- So far we've only been called 'Rednecks', 'Cracka's' and 'Whitey' in public. What have we been called in private? --"

Douchebags? Gimps? Hypocrites? Whores? Pedophiles? Kleptocrats? Amoral warmongers? Ignorant racist religious zealots? Pro-torture goons? Yellow-pants-stained keyboard commandos? Limp-dicked xenophobes? Yankees fans?

Stop me if any of these are new to you.

Harpo,

As usual you completly ignore the main point of my post.

The facts are indisputable. Barry's own words about public financing show him to be a liar and a fake. Try for once to stay on topic.

Did he not say that he would use public financing for the general? Christ, the guy practically claimed to invent public financing. Must have been like Algore and the internet.

Are you so blinded by the Barry flame that you can't see the on-going pattern here to say and do whatever it takes to be elected.

This guy is suck-up and a liar and you want him to be POTUS regardless.

It's sorry that you can't see this guy for what he really is.

What a tool!

Sac,

Did he not say that he would use public financing for the general?

No, he didn't. You are wrong again.

He previously said he would be willing to negotiate comprehensive limits that included 527s and other outside groups. However, McCain made it very clear that he had no interest in such limits on outside groups.

Sac,

"This guy is suck-up and a liar and you want him to be POTUS regardless."

You are really grasping for straws.

Obama did not say he would opt for taxpayer handouts.

However, you want to talk suckup?

McSuckup, McCain was against torture before he was for it.

McCain, was against tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans before he was for it.

McCain was against drilling in ANWR before he was for it.

If that ain't sucking up to the knuckledragging GOPers I don't know what is.

Clearly the OBAAAAMA VICTUREE and the success of the People's Revolution is at hand!

Only stooooopid conservatives could believe that Comrade Obaaaaama would actually have a chance of loosing to the wrinkly, angry old man and his druggie wife.

Why, everyone knows that America has rejected the vile, shrubby Chimperator and the Rethuglican Party for the backwards reactionaries that they are, and that this People's Republic shall be grounded in the fine socialist teachings of Comrades Marx, Mao, and Castro!

America has returned home to the Left at last!

Yes, the proletariat has spoken, and heck... we might as well not even bother with the voting!

All Hail Comrade Obaaaaama, our new president and general secretary of the United Socialist States of America!

Sheep, Heil! Baaaaaa!

Sheep, Heil! Baaaaaa!

Sheep, Heil! Baaaaaa!

"Only stooooopid conservatives could believe that Comrade Obaaaaama would actually have a chance of loosing to the wrinkly, angry old man and his druggie wife."

Don't think it's the drug addict wife nor the old age and wrinkles.

It's the policy. McCain is wrong on the three most important issues.

War, health care, tax reform.

Conservatives seem very understanding as far as drug addicts as long as it's one of their own.

ElRushbo ate enough oxycontin to kill a herd of buffalo, narrowly escaped jail, and didn't seem to miss a beat.

Public funding for elections is not government money. It is from the $3 people identify on their tax returns to go for funding elections. (Most liberals will miss that since welfare in non-taxable) Better to let the 'people' finance an election than to let millions of dollars flow in from Terrorists and terrorist supporting countries as the Messiah is doing. The Messiah will be the best president Islam can provide for the U.S., well he will be the only choice they have who openly supports Islamic terrorists.

"-- Public funding for elections is not government money. It is from the $3 people identify on their tax returns to go for funding elections. --"

The $3 people identify on their tax returns that comes from their tax dollar contributions? The tax dollar contributions that go to fund the government? That non-government money? Lulz.

"-- Better to let the 'people' finance an election than to let millions of dollars flow in from Terrorists and terrorist supporting countries as the Messiah is doing. --"

Links plz?

"-- This guy is suck-up and a liar and you want him to be POTUS regardless. --"

You forgot to mention that he's a secret Muslim. Hell, I bet if Obama is elected President, he'll institute Sharia Law. And Blackwater Security will sing his praises.

http://incertus.blogspot.com/2008/06/not-best-pr-move.html

What then people? What then?

Scrapiron,

Good God Scrapiron, can't you get anything right?

"Public funding for elections is not government money."

The Fund is not a separate account but is actually part of the U.S. Treasury.

http://www.fec.gov/info/checkoff.htm

Scrapiron doesn't get his 3 huge monthly welfare checks for his brains. He's a big time VOLUNTEER. Be sure to thank him for his service before pointing out what a moron he is.

"War, health care, tax reform."

I have the state of the economy and the price of gasoline/diesel in first place, but these three are important as well. Obama looses in the war debate, as the worm has now turned, 30,000 troops are on their way home from Iraq, and the situation in Iraq has improved to the point that liberals don't even want to talk about it. Afghanistan is a wild card, but that is the war the liberals claim to support. If liberals turn their back on the war they support, well, it will make them look like fools.

Health care is a tough nut. Most people want some change, but they don't want the system they know thrown out. That's what Hillary and Bill found out the hard way. Obama might suffer the same fate.

Some tax reform is neccessary, but again, too much change could scare some people. I would like to see some targeted tax breaks, and some increases on those better able to pay, myself. But special interests always get involved in tax law, and who knows what might happen? I would like to see some budget cuts, too, but I have my doubts whether anyone in Washington has the will to cut budgets.

Other issues, such as gay marriage, Gitmo, abortion, illegal immigration, border security, and several others might have a small impact.

"-- Obama looses in the war debate, as the worm has now turned, 30,000 troops are on their way home from Iraq, and the situation in Iraq has improved to the point that liberals don't even want to talk about it. Afghanistan is a wild card, but that is the war the liberals claim to support. If liberals turn their back on the war they support, well, it will make them look like fools. --"

ZOMG! WE'RE WINNING! I know this because I haven't seen Iraq on the news!

And liberals never want to talk about the Iraq War anymore. Who's Glen Greenwald? What is DailyKos? Crooksandliars.com, abuh?

"-- Health care is a tough nut. Most people want some change, but they don't want the system they know thrown out. That's what Hillary and Bill found out the hard way. Obama might suffer the same fate. --"

Getting screwed by my private insurance company is no fun, but the only thing worse than paying hyper-inflated premiums for a service I may never receive when I need it is... uh... something different! Obama will suffer for trying to reform health care as the Clintons did before him. Just ask former President Bob Dole.

"-- Some tax reform is neccessary, but again, too much change could scare some people. I would like to see some targeted tax breaks, and some increases on those better able to pay, myself. But special interests always get involved in tax law, and who knows what might happen? --"

Here I'll agree with you. Wall Street billionaires and investment tycoons will be absolutely horrified at the idea of paying normal tax rates for capital gains. Who wants to work a blue collar job in the 25% tax bracket when you can swap commodities from a cushy penthouse office in the 15% range? The idea of paying my due after getting a free ride for so long would terrify me.

And "special interests" are always a problem. I mean, who knows what would happen if an industry insider got into the White House and started rewriting the tax code? We could see billions in tax breaks for some of the most lucrative companies in the world, while consumers pay through the noes for a product that was supposed to have been subsidized.

Everybody better play it safe and vote Old Man McCain for President. He'll keep you feeling safe by giving us another 4 years of VICTORY! WISKEY! SEXY! in Iraq. And he'll keep giving more tax breaks to rich people, which makes me feel safe. And something something medical something something...

But seriously, I wouldn't worry about Walnuts nearly as much as I'd worry about his VP. I mean, this guy is going to be practically comatose through most of his administration, so you'll want a guy who can run the joint during post-pudding nap hour.

I work long hours, and have no gripe about doing so. When I arrive home, I look forward to reading the news. Mind you, over the last several years I have changed my party of choice. Honestly, it does not matter what party I changed too.

But honestly, can any level minded person today read the news and grasp what is going on? I am a fairly opinionated person, but it seams to me, this world we live in is pretty fucked up.

PS: scar....you are an asshole..........hope to meet some day,,,,,,,,,,,,would love kicking your wimp ass.....kisses.........

Lame-O says;

"ZOMG! WE'RE WINNING! I know this because I haven't seen Iraq on the news!"

"And liberals never want to talk about the Iraq War anymore."

Wow! up until this moment I thought you were brain dead, there may be hope for you yet.... Naaaaaa!!!

Who's Glen Greenwald?

You know that's a good question, He uses so many different names. Most people refer to him as a sock puppet.

I think Dan described him well 2 years ago:

http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2006/07/the_new_mccarth.html#comment-19860765

http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2006/07/the_boy_from_br.html

What is DailyKos?

Ah, heck that was too easy it's a site frequented by trolls!

"Crooksandliars.com,"

See above!

"abuh?"

This is a tough one, is it something that your sex partner says after he's finished with you?

If you're going to talk about finance campaign abuse, you need to start with the guy that's actually breaking the law - that's The Straight Talk Express itself - Senator John McSame.

"If he weren't Black..."

Is the vacuum you Klanservatives live in so tight that no oxygen ever enters? No one except the wingtard Klanservative moron fringe would seriously advance this argument. Your paranoia is appalling, your ignorance breathtaking. I can see that the GE is going to be lit up with the virtual burning crosses of the unstable wingnuts.

Interesting blog you got there, "JollyRoger"... although I suspect that from all those spittle-flecked raging BDS rants you have against "Chimpy", you are probably not a Constitutionalist as you would have your visitors believe.

Although we might both agree that the war is a generally ill-conceived and unconstitutional event from its beginning.

In which case, I might advise you to visit the Constitution Party's web site to see how a real Constitutionalist President would do things:

http://www.constitutionparty.org

Or their presidential candidate, Chuck Baldwin:

http://www.baldwin2008.com

"-- Who's Glen Greenwald?

You know that's a good question, He uses so many different names. Most people refer to him as a sock puppet. --"

So Glen doesn't count because Dan thinks he's a sock puppet.

And Kos doesn't count because its a forum full of trolls.

And C&L doesn't count because its a forum full of trolls.

But other than those two sites that comprise some million plus internet hits a day, no liberal wants to talk about the Iraq War. I assume if I brought up AmericaBlog or Balloon Juice or Sadly No or Wonkette or Obsidian Wing or Matt Yglesias I'd get the same "Full of trolls/sock puppets! Doesn't count!" so I won't bother. Needless to say, your logic is impeccable. If you discount all the people talking about the Iraq War, no one is talking about the Iraq War.

You are clearly aware of all internet traditions.

So Balloon Juice is a liberal blog?

Some people have no regard for the truth. One such person is jharp, to wit:

-----

Sac,

Did he not say that he would use public financing for the general?

No, he didn't. You are wrong again.

He previously said he would be willing to negotiate comprehensive limits that included 527s and other outside groups. However, McCain made it very clear that he had no interest in such limits on outside groups.

Posted by: jharp | Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 02:22 PM

The article to which Dan provided a link shows that jharp is wrong.

----
In November 2007, Obama answered "Yes" to Common Cause when asked "If you are nominated for President in 2008 and your major opponents agree to forgo private funding in the general election campaign, will you participate in the presidential public financing system?"

Obama wrote: "In February 2007, I proposed a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election. My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general election. So harp, which is it. Did you not read the article before commenting or did you read it and ignore it?

"Obama Calls Muslim Women Barred From Stage
By Sarah Wheaton

Updated Shimaa Abdelfadeel and Hebba Aref, the two Muslim women who were asked not to sit where they could be photographed behind Senator Barack Obama because they were wearing traditional religious head coverings, received a call from the candidate himself today to follow up on his campaign’s initial apology...."

Can you imagine the reaction if Michell "dunkin donut" Malkin saw hijabs & Obama in the same photo???!!!?
She'd be calling out the National Guard.
Of course, they're in Iraq.

Lame-O;

"So Glen doesn't count because Dan thinks he's a sock puppet."

Dan was only one of the conservative sites this troll king lingered in. The issue was he didn't have enough balls to just post under his own name. He pretended to be different people defending himself from critical posts.

"And Kos doesn't count because its a forum full of trolls.

And C&L doesn't count because its a forum full of trolls."

Although your thin skinned reaction should have been expected I was again using sarcasm and humor in my post.

You exhibit so much hatred and vitriol in your posts I was attempting to lighten up the dialogue a little bit.

I realize that this concept is as foreign to you as soap and a toothbrush.

I suggest you rent Eddie Murphy "Raw", "Blazzing Saddles", "Caddyshack" or some other classic comedy disc and try and wean yourself of the conservative website teet!

You really need to lighten up dude, maybe you could hook up with the THC Abuser and polish off a couple of bong loads before your next post!

"-- I suggest you rent Eddie Murphy "Raw", "Blazzing Saddles", "Caddyshack" or some other classic comedy disc and try and wean yourself of the conservative website teet! --"

Ah, comedy. You're comparing this:

"-- Jim: You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons. --"

To this:

"-- What is DailyKos?

Comic genius! Do you come up with these yourselves or do you have a writer?

Here. Go add captions to some kittens. Then come back and talk to me about comedy. Maybe even pitch a movie that isn't 20 years old.

:-p

"..wingtard Klanservative.."

LOL. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. More brilliant discourse from the miserable, stingy people who inhabit the Left.

Lame-O

I would certainly compare your lame(-O) attempt at comedy;

"-- Jim: You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons. --"

to mine;

"I realize that this concept is as foreign to you as soap and a toothbrush."

anyday!

Maybe we could have a nice dose of democracy and have the other posters vote on which comedic quote they like better!

Come-on folks what do you think?

Not even a contest, SacTownMan, as Islamo's lame attempt at comedy pales in comparison to the comical(although likely true) comment you made. Kudos!

That's from Blazing Saddles, chief.

Ouch - Obama's up in the latest NEWSWEEK Poll by 15-point over McSame. It's gonna be a bad, bad year for Republicans.

I'm expecting that not only will it be a bad year for the GOP, but it will be a bad four to eight years for America, as we rush headlong into Obamania and left into the crushing grip of socialism and statism of the likes that would do Stalin proud.

If the hype is to be believed, I'd almost have to say that anything less than a 350+ electoral sweep by Obama and I'll be surprised.

Of course, that's almost as believable as Hillary stepping in with her connections within the Mossad and MI-6 step in and set someone up on a grassy knoll somewhere to take care of her "affirmative action problem".

Yeah, well, Mr. Worst, I'm not a betting man, but I'll be willing to take your money if you will put it on those numbers. Your boy has a bounce, but he'll come back to earth soon enough. Of course, his hiring of crooks to handle voter registration, and some of the voter scandals already brewing in states like Louisiana don't bode so well for the Messiah. Should be an interesting race.

ZOMG! Barack Obama is going to kill 10 million of his own people in a series of cultural revolutions. The good news is that he'll also start stockpiling hydrogen bombs and expanding the US sphere of influence throughout eastern europe.

Really, after 8 years of domestic wiretapping, consolidation of one party rule, foreign imperialist incursions, secret military prisons, and torture, I would think that a new Stalin would be right up your alley for President. I mean - you've got your genocide in Afghanistan and Iraq, you've got your arresting of rival political leaders like Bog Seigler in Alabama, you've got your rigged elections in Florida and Ohio, you've got your erosion of civil rights and increasing irrelevance of the legislative and judicial bodies, No-Fly lists that restrict citizens virtually at random, gulags in Cuba and Eastern Europe, industry execs and ranking senators all bowing to the same masters, "government" companies like Blackwater and Haliburton subsist on handouts from Washington and provide garbage services - what am I missing? I mean, shit. What is Obama going to do that will be more Stalin-like than the current President? Seriously, what am I missing? Universal health care?
