Has someone spiked the AP's watercoolers with drugs????
The pricing scale for excerpting AP content begins at $12.50 for 5-25 words and goes as high as $100 for 251 words and up. Nonprofit organizations and educational institutions enjoy a discounted rate.
Two-dollars and fifty cents per word? Pardon my French, but here are two words, or five dollars worth, I gladly give free of charge to the AP: Fuck You!

Commoditizing mostly falsehoods and stupidity for the most part.
The MSM overlords shall be pleased, although I think that the AP's stock might be adversely affected.
I bet there are a bunch of corporate lawyers salivating themselves into a frothy foam over the hourly rates they will get for this item.

Best of luck to you.

you're such a pathetic small man. "Fuck You!" That's your blog post? Do you get drunk before you write all these posts? That's no way to go through live.

In re the AP article which I don't want to pay for, linked by the Boob:
Attaching unwanted legislation into defense spending bills: how tacky that is.
There should b a line-item veto for just this sort of chicanery.

Uh oh. GOPers.
From trailing by two to up by eight. And in OHIO!
OHIO MoE 2.6%
McCain (R) 42 (44)
Obama (D) 48 (40)
And.
From trailing by 4 to ahead by 4. And get this! In Florida!
Florida. MoE 2.6% (5/13-20 results)
McCain (R) 43 (45)
Obama (D) 47 (41)
Really is amazing that George Bush mucked things up so bad that a black man with the names Obama and Hussein is going to be our next President.
Heckuva job!
Posted by: jharp | Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 02:42 PM
B. Hussein Obama actually has THREE Muslim names: "Barack" is derived from "Buraq", the mythical beast that carried Mohammed off to see his moon-demon, Allah.
And yes, all other things being equal, the fact that Obama is so overwhelming ahead in the polls is an indicator of the massive landslide the Dems will be riding in on an easy 300+ electoral votes (if not approaching 350), and quite likely a 65+ Dem Senate and a 320+ Dem Congress!
Comrade Revolutionaries, the Socialist Revolution has only begun! Long live the Workers and Big Government to protect us (if our mamas let us live to see birth) from the cradle to the grave!

I hope jharp is a young man/woman/don'tknowthedifference. That way he/she/shem will have a long time to live in the misery they hope for.

Comrade Red Sheep of Obama,
I think you are being a little too optimistic.
I see the Senate more like 58-40-2.
As for the electoral votes who cares. It only takes 270.
The healing begins. No more war. No more spying om Americans. No more torture. No more $500 billion deficits. No more $4.00 gas. No more $135 a barrel oil. No more will average Americans pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffet. No longer the most expensive health care in the world.
The great Bill Clinton once said "there is nothing wrong with America that what is right about America can't fix".
Bring. It. On.

Hey Harpo it's good to hear about the positive developments in the POTUS race. I'm very happy that Barry has already been annointed by you and others. Heck why should we even go through the motions of voting
But, as usual you clip and paste statistics that have no link to the original author so there is no way to know if this is made-up or comes from your favorite Huffington post site.
As I and others have asked for on numerous occasions if you are going to use statistics or text from a web site then post a link to the site. It is plain and simply plagerism to take someone else's hard work and pass it off as your own.
Here is an example of just what I'm talking about:
I'm sure you will be just as excited to hear about the accomplishments of this typical ex-gitmo detainee that you and others are so eager to see get released.
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2008/05/08/ex_detainee_linked_to_iraq_bombing/
By linking the story it allows you to determine the potential bias or the thought process that the author used in producing the story. It also allows other posters to link other articles that may disprove or shed additional facts on your post.
You and I may not agree on many things but it is simply wrong to keep picking and choosing obscure stats and pasting them into your arguments.

Doesn't appear the smears on Senator Obama are going too good.
Just what were the reasons he couldn't be President again.
The ones I can remember off the top of my head. He's a Muslim. Won't put his hand over his heart for the pledge. Doesn't wear a flag pin. Is a lousy bowler. Known associate with the Weather Underground. Uses a terrorist fist jab as a secret signal with his wife. His wife once used the term "whitey". His wife was for the first time proud of our political process. Wants to use negotiations and diplomacy instead of bombs. Wants to nuke Pakistan. Wants to obey the Constitution and not spy on Americans and allow due process to those we have imprisoned. Wants to lower taxes on the middle class. And wants to lower health care costs and allow equal access to all.
Just a little hint GOPers. Just once try to focus on the issues.
Oh, that's right, that's a loser for you too.

Sac,
I'm going to play softball and didn't read your link.
I want to be clear. No one wants them released unless the are innocent.
True Americans believe they get the chance to challenge their imprisonment.
You had your chance to live under the rule of a King. It's over. Americans have caught on.

jharp, I have a little personal news of interest to you, although it might make the beast from S. America spit. My son got his orders this week and he has been assigned to the Old Guard Unit(3rd United States Inf. Regiment) in Washington, D.C., so he won't be going to Iraq or Afghanistan. He was one of 6 soldiers selected from Ft. Benning, Ga. to be a part of that unit. Quite an honor for him. The wife breathed a sigh of relief.
He will be one of the soldiers who will be guarding the President, among other things the Old Guard does, including the soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

Thank you, everyone, for your good wishes for my son, and thank you, Boob, for having so much faith in my son's ability to catch Bin Laden. Don't give up hope, though, as units of the 3rd have been deployed in the GWOT. The 3rd is, in fact, a combat infantry regiment, even though a large part of their duties involves the ceremonies that take place in Washington, D.C.

Brother Knight, your son is living proof that all is not lost with the present generation. His honor and duty to country are examples of what makes the USA the greatest nation in the history of civilization. (sorry Michelle but that's the real America)
Bob is pond scum compared to the likes of your son. He benefits from the freedoms that your son maintains as he spits his vitriol and hate here.
God bless your son and our country as we struggle against the likes of the Bobs and Soros's of this world to take away those freedoms he fights so hard for!

This very painful and odd dichotomy between honourable men who serve suck as TK's son, and spineless leftist malcontents like the Boob who'd no sooner know what "honour" and "duty" were if he were to be bitten on his seat by them, this brings to mind the words of Col. Jessup, as played by Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men":
"--- You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to! ---"

Lawd fogive me .... but I had comment deleted at one of them platinum blogs, for saying (exact words/letters/characters): F*ck the AP, all the way up with a red hot poker [well really no need to forgive, cos I won't mention (and well really, there isn't a need). But I did take em off my blogroll.
P.S. My words regards the AP, 'bout content they produce. And the buggering the public takes because of the decline in quality, of every American newspaper that runs their shite.

"--- Lawd fogive me .... but I had comment deleted at one of them platinum blogs... ---"
This wouldn't have been RedState.com perchance? Those folks running that particular neocon clown car over there bring down their banhammers with nearly a staccato beat, for all their hypersensitivity for abuses of the Queen's English regarding "Juan McCain", or "Hitlery", or lately even "Barack Hussein Obama"... much less obscenities in their own right.
While admittedly the name-gaming is a bit immature and perhaps unfunny, it is no different than the liberals who rage on with their BDS over "Chimpy McHitlerBurton" or the like.
And while I don't care much for the use of obscenity to convey a point, you'd think that some of these "elite blogs" would have something better to do than playing at hall monitor with their commenters and engaging in some intelligent discourse every now and then.
Posted by: seekeronos | Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 02:58 PM
No seekeronos .... when I use the word platinum, I'm referring to the twenty five million club. If you want to hang with the neocons at most sites, ya gotta swallow your pride. And view them as fellow human beings, with merely a different point of political view. And let go with the name calling (at least while you're there Chief).
If you're curious, go ahead and taunt the crowd at any unhinged left site, with whatever vernacular you think the right lies awake nights dreaming up. You'll likely get the same response/deletion.
The gap in discourse is widening. But if you enjoy confrontation and virtual Whack a Mole ... hey knock yourself out/have fun (life is short).

25 million club? Again, I suffer from a pitiful ignorance here: I'll simply rest in the knowledge that whatever that elite blog is, it is likely beyond my humble scope of knowledge.
I have no undue ire towards the neocons, other than a general disagreement over sticking our national nose into everyone's businesses, and our national thumbs into everyone else's eyes, and running a government on a scale that would make a liberal proud, if not for supposed ideological differences, is as intrusive and as overmanaged and expensive as anything the Democrats cobbled together.
I do view them as fellow humans and fellow sinners in need of Christ, with particularly wrong - and dangerously so at times - political points of view. :)
And concerning RedState - well, they are what they are - the site ops at the very least: a self-important gaggle of site ops who see themselves as hall monitors for the GOP, running a largely NeoCon echo chamber. They have a good claim at being the "DailyKos of the Right".
However, RS is (as all blogs are) privately owned, and one who values property rights and free enterprise, I'll not complain my "free speech" is being violated when they decide to "stop the mouths of unwashed paleocons". It is their sandbox, after all, and they have the final say in who may or may not play there.
As for the name calling (re: "Hitlery", "Juan McSame", Jorge Arbusto", etc. etc. etc.) you are about a year too late in correcting me on this particular faux pas, though I welcome your reminder as an additional witness: for ever fact is established on the testimony of two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1, Deuteronomy 17:6).
The one thing I took away from that is that the name calling is immature and largely unfunny --- which is why I generally refrain these days from doing so these days, even on "friendlier turf". Indeed, why should I be so vain as to think that the internet tubes exist so I can punish folks with my unfunny wit and mockery of public figures I disagree with?
Every once in a while, even an old, highly opinionated dog can learn a new thing or two.
