You Think America Hasn't Changed?

Couldn't help but acknowledge on my blog the story of Mildred Loving, who has passed away. A black woman, she married a white man in 1958. They were charged in Virginia with "cohabiting as man and wife, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth.”

Last year she penned a message which includes an account of their arrest, treatment by the justice system and subsequent exile from Virginia. Chilling.

Not long after our wedding, we were awakened in the middle of the night in our own bedroom by deputy sheriffs and actually arrested for the “crime” of marrying the wrong kind of person. Our marriage certificate was hanging on the wall above the bed. The state prosecuted Richard and me, and after we were found guilty, the judge declared: “Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix.” He sentenced us to a year in prison, but offered to suspend the sentence if we left our home in Virginia for 25 years exile.

To claim that FDR, Truman, Kennedy, LBJ would be conservatives today is laughable on its face. None of them would have EVER been a part of today's Republican Party.

It stands as the only reliable translation of God"s word in English.

Other popular versions such as the NIV and even the NASB are tainted with the poisonous hands of occultists Hort & Wescott, not to mention being derive from the Alexandrian stream (false) manuscripts.

If you want the true word of God, use a Textus Receptus Bible like the KJV. If you want omissions and even some outright fabrications, use any of the "new" English versions (most of which are slight mods of one another due to copyright issues).

And yes, before you trot out the shakespeare/Psalm 46 horse, you might be interested to know that this has ben discussed before: older translations such as the Bishop's Bible and the Geneva Bible, which predate Shakespeare by some years, also have that "shake" and "spear" in them.

But even more important than all the above, is that one need not be a Bible scholar schooled in Koine Greek or Aramaic and ancient Hebrew to understand God's Word.
