What's Corker's Problem?

I was a bit surprised that Bob Corker is still going on about the "Call Me" ad against Harold Ford in his support for Michele Obama. That ad caused a controversy as it was allegedly designed to link Ford with white women in order to alienate some Tennessee voters.

Here's a blog post from February featuring a pic of Ford and his then fiancee, Emily Threlkeld. I believe they've since married. I don't know if Ford still cares what TN voters think ... but he seems to be doing pretty well for himself these days.

But is he now no longer qualified to run for elected office because he married a white woman? I hope not. The intermarriage thing hasn't seemed to hurt Obama any either ... referring to his parents, I mean. Sort of makes you wonder how much of this race-baiting stuff is just knee-jerk reaction and how much it all really matters in the end.

At the ladies' tea party she hosted in Bethesda on Saturday, Dorothy Bowles Ford, the mother of the former congressman, doted on her son's fiancee as if she were her own flesh and blood.

"My baby!" she cooed, stroking Emily Threlkeld's cheek and moving in for about the hundredth hug of the afternoon. "She's so pretty!"

For an outsider, it was a thrilling Jacqueline Bouvier-redux kind of moment -- a stylish young woman wins the heart of one of the most eligible bachelors in politics. For Mrs. Ford, the thrill was clearly more personal: "Oh, I want grandbabies!"

Obama's "mama" on the other hand is not. She is an America hater that had no problems dragging her innocent kids off to weekly Black Liberation Theology indoctrination. Any parent, white, black, brown or pink that would allow someone to train their children to hate someone because of skin color (i.e. white) is a blatant racist.

Obama's wife is an active participant in this years campaign. She has spent months attacking the Bush administration, bad mouthing America as being a country she is not proud of, filled with bitter people. Barry claims he never heard the "things" Reverend Wright said but it sounds like his wife and kids did. Her comments are completly relevant to the argument of Barry's questionable associations. Barry was a crack up yesterday when he had his "don't be talking bout my mama" moment. If he didn't want public scrutiny he should have told her to keep her mouth shut.

But hey if I say anything about the "annointed one" I must be a racist too!

Perhaps Corker is concerned that the GOP is widely seen as the Party of rich, white, old bigots. Perhaps Corker is concerned that the GOP's traditional race-baiting might help the Dems grab even more seats this November, as they did in Mississippi and Louisiana. What's sad is the effort to rehash a story from almost 15 years ago concerning someone that had an addiction to prescription pain killers. It didn't work to bring down Rush so now lets try it again on Cindy.

Can you provide any links concerning her conviction. Oh, she was never convicted of a crime. But don't forget the poor homeless kids that starved waiting for their Vicodin she stole from them (I read on the Daily Koz that she even spit on them and kicked them in their emaciated little stomachs).

It is estimated that there are over 6 million Americans addicted to prescription pain medication. I see patients everyday that are in tremendous pain from spinal cord compressions (cancer of the spine). I would care to guess that most of those folks would do almost anything to ease the tremendous pain they endure.

Lets not forget to bring up the Keating 5, the time McCain spent in the Hanoi Hilton, and the time he kicked his dog (You know that temper of his is out of control). Did you guys know he wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years!!!

Did you hear how the evil Cindy stole a cookie recipe and claimed it as her own. Now that's something that I just can't accept. Somebody call a cop will ya!

As to Bob Corker, I agree the ad was bad. It dropped him 5-10 points in the polls because it was seen as petty (tacky) and racist. And he's right about not throwing hot grease on Michelle, at least not in the way the TNGOP did it. There are other, more subtle ways to disagree with her without ticking off the opposition.

Vicodin and Percoset are powerful and addictive pain meds. If you had taken twice the recommended dosage over a couple of weeks time you would have started to get a real jones for more. People with major pain from back surgery etc. don't just take one pill 4 times a day like the doc told you to do. Try popping 2-3 of those babies at a time then you need more and more to get the pain relief you got from the first one. A couple of weeks later you are slamming 10 or more a day and you are now an addict. Cindy was filty rich, do these moonbats think she was in her right mind to steal prescription drugs. Drug addiction is a disease, no different than someone with cancer.

As far as Teddy goes, agree with him or not let's not play the Huffington Post or Daily Koz game of cheering the "good news" for someone on the other side of the political spectrum. Those scum bags almost wet themselves when Tony Snow was diagnosed. If Teddy has Glio it is a death sentence. If it's stage 3-4 as it sounds like he would be lucky to make 1 year, closer to 6 months. I don't care for the man and his politics but his family deserves the respect it is due. As a fellow Catholic he may have some "splaning" to do to St. Peter about being pro-abortion and why he left Mary Jo floating in the back seat.

Last week in Brooklyn, NY, a 22year old black ghetto kid was arrested for the strangulation murder of a Korean woman at her place of business, a drycleaning store.

The poor ghetto kid had been arrested last year for pointing a gun at the head of a man, tying him up and robbing him.

He has been out on $10,000.00 bail, awaiting trial for a year-old crime.

But, when he committed that crime last year he was on parole, having been released from prison.

That poor ghetto kid's parole wasn't revoked at that time as it should have been. Perhaps some kindly judge thought that pooor black kids should be given even more chances to wreak havoc.

I most certainly did not mean to cast any stones or assertions your way my friend.

I was only expressing my compassion for my fellow man and the sorrow I feel for a great American family. I simply hoped that those that would take satisfaction in the pain of others would take a moment to consider the basis for their hate. I, as you, pray for Senator Kennedy that he may find final and eternal peace with his brothers and loved ones waiting for him in the lords house.

While your knowledge of things biblical far exceed my modest teachings I see in you writtings the heart of a person that worships a loving god and I applaud your efforts to try and enlighten those that haven't accepted Christ into their hearts.
