What the hell is wrong with some of these idiots? It looks like Iowa Politics and the Des Moines Register have the story. I guess they're fighting for the Mike Stark Award now. What a shame they let these idiots roam around unsupervised. Time was they'd all be on a back ward somewhere drooling on their underwear.
AllahPundit reported that at a town hall meeting today a questioner asked Senator McCain if he called his wife a c*nt. Huffington Post called the questioner a "Baptist Minister." HotAir discovered he's a former campaign worker for Joe Biden.

OMG, someone find my fainting couch!

Well
Did he?
In public?
After telling her she looks like a trollop?
Did he?

It doesn't matter if it's true or not that McCain called his wife a "cunt" in 1992 in front of aides and the media. The increadibly important news here is that a Democrat said a naughty word - "cunt" - that offended Dan Riehl's increadibly sophisiticated and gentle sensiblities.
Posted by: Totally Heterosexual Conservative | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 12:48 PM
Yeah, heaven forbid someone ask McCain a question irrelevant to his ability to run the country...that would never happen to a democrat.
Posted by: Spartan112 | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 01:25 PM
I think we should spend MORE time talking about the things that
Scary Black Preachers said.
Who cares what John McCain said!
He's still a straight-shootin maverick in my heart.

LOLS!
Let's play everyone's favorite game!
"Calling your wife a cunt" < "Asking Presidential Candidate to verify what three other reporters had already alleged"
"-- Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days. --"
We should ask Pastor Hagee to come on Meet the Press and discuss this turn of events. Perspective, people. We need perspective.
Posted by: IslamoLlama | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 01:39 PM
The only thing that makes that question remarkable or newsworthy is that it was asked in a Republican format.
Just wouldn't be news among the Dems...
Posted by: Miklo | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 01:55 PM
Democrats are like little old ladies in a nursing home. Since there is little 'facts' to discuss (beyond a racist and a dummy) they take a rumor from 'who' (names please)and spread it like wildfire years later. And they deny being mentally retarded, how?
I guess since they figured out, or someone told them, that there is no way on Gods green earth that Hussein O sat in the pew for 20 years of hate and racism preaching and didn't agree with every word. The only difference in Hussein and the foul mouthed street corner rappers is the suit.

Typical left wing commenting going on here. The latest rant is to invoke Pastor Hagee as if McCain spent the last 20 years dragging his family to his church, giving him $40,000 and basing his life story on his "teachings". I suppose that McCain has a couple of terrorist buddies out there too like Barry. Don't forget the two recent stories out of the New York Slimes alleging he had an affair with a lobbiest with no facts to support it and the implication that he helped some land speculators that had no basis in fact. The typical left approach is well our guy may have done that but your guy may have done this. Oh yea lets not forget the ever popular "we've covered that so let's ""Move On"". After all it's not going to help "my children". Soro's and his minions are planning to spend millions to try and smear McCain but Barry's racist, terrorist buddy background will not go away so easily even if the Daily Koz crowd commenting here wants it to.

"Typical left wing commenting going on here. The latest rant is to invoke Pastor Hagee as if McCain spent the last 20 years dragging his family to his church, giving him $40,000 and basing his life story on his "teachings"."
Wow, how topical to the question of whether or not McCain called his wife a "cunt" or not! But you're right; it's not as if St. McCain sought out Hagee's endorsement or anything, in a transparent attempt to make good with, and pander to, the knuckle-dragger wing of the GOP.
"Don't forget the two recent stories out of the New York Slimes alleging he had an affair with a lobbiest with no facts to support it and the implication that he helped some land speculators that had no basis in fact."
Don't forget that the story DIDN'T allege any such thing, but rather that he had an inappropriate relationship with a lobbyist, in that he did special favors for said lobbyist. Don't forget either, that the Times sourced the story to people within the McCain camp at the time.
Liar.
"Soro's and his minions are planning to spend millions to try and smear McCain but Barry's racist, terrorist buddy background will not go away so easily even if the Daily Koz crowd commenting here wants it to."
Ah, it wouldn't be proper Ditto-head form to neglect a paranoid rant including Soros and Kos. I know this won't get us anywhere, but exactly who are Obama's "terrorist buddies"? Do you have any proof that Obama has "terrorist buddies," other than rank speculation on right wing blogs?
Posted by: Totally Heterosexual Conservative | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 02:59 PM
O[b]ama's rejection of the Scary Black Preacher is proof that he won't stick up for America when the chips are down.
That's why America needs the straight shootin Maverick, Cindy the-unmentionable-word's husband.
Posted by: Mr Debakey | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 03:11 PM
The fact that St. McCain calls Cindy a "cunt" is proof of his manliness and total heterosexuality, and therefore proof of his ability to lead - despite the fact that he thinks Iran is training Al Queda, and he admittedly doesn't understand economics, or that he was for the Bush tax cuts after he was against them, and that he believes that home ownership is up despite millions of foreclosures. Moreover, economists who disagree with St. McCain's totally manly and heterosexual plan to suspend the gas tax are biased elitists who don't understand the values of Heartland patriot Americans.
It doesn't matter that St. McCain is a walking "senior moment" because God has touched him with manliness and total heterosexuality. We won't need things like "roads" and "infrastructure" once God has chosen his president!

Gosh THC... Let me guess...
The "H" doesn't stand for Heterosexual, now does it?
Posted by: Miklo | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 03:50 PM
Given the fact that McCain is so old, perhaps cunt means something in Olde English that we 21st century-types arent aware of.
Posted by: hairy potter | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 04:03 PM
Wow, I certainly didn't mean to get your hetrosexual panties in a bunch. First, the comments about Pastor Hagee were raised by another poster and were germain to the argument about deflecting blame by the left whenever they are presented with the facts.
As far as you defending the New York Times for it's hit piece on McCain anyone that saw the story could see the inference at the beginning and the end of an affair. For your edification the definition of allege is: "To assert without proof or before proving". This article was a rambling, non vetted piece of crap based on "allegations" of a disgruntled ex employee. If you are really sold on the quality of the Times reporting you might want to buy some stock, I hear it's really cheap right now!
No really I'm not lying dude.
I don't think I've ever listened to 5 minutes of Rush in my life and he got his start here in my town. Sorry to ruin your distorted "Bush Lied Troops Died" veiw of anyone who doesn't agree with you. George Soros and Move On, Daily Koz, Huffington and the other brain dead leftist sources of information are a much more appropriate site for someone of your obvious advanced intellect.
Obama has made some very questionable associations including his Racist Pastor and the still to be explained relationship with Bill Ayers and his sweet wife Bernardine. Considering the MSM will not do anything to upset the Obama boat we will have to wait to see how much the real story get out.
Hey, what was that sound behind me.... oh it's okay I was just being paraniod again!

Crawlspace, no! You've violated the sacred civil discourse provision of the site! Everything you say is now evil and wrong! OMG! What have you done!?
But seriously, SacTownMan is off his meds. Aside from crapping his pants over Obama's preacher while secretly beating off to Pastor Hagee speeches, he seems to be unable to distinguish between embarrassing but true articles against McCain (hey, look, he did associate with lobbyists a great great deal and he has cheated on his first wife a number of times... hmmm...) and actual irrelevant hit pieces against Obama (OH NO! He once had a conversation with a college professor who was a radical eco-terrorist 40 years ago! Obama is going to blow up America!)
Never mind that McCain's gas tax holiday is fiscally irresponsible trash. Never mind that Obama's Iraq policy is perhaps the sanest of the trio. Please ignore their collective energy policies or health care proposals. Let's all sit around and talk about bullshit character issues.
Sac, you're so busy hating on the media, you've totally missed the massive blowjob they've been giving John "BBQ" McCain. Really, you should turn on some Glenn Beck or flip over the Scarbourgh Country. You'd like it over there. Very wingnutty.

It looks like the rednecks are restless tonight! Could it be the $4 gas? The expensive food at the Piggly Wiggly? The constant 'victories' in Iraq? Count your blessings, patriots - your leader still loves you!!!
Posted by: bobInStamford | Friday, May 02, 2008 at 08:17 PM
Could it be the $4 gas? What was that Pelosi said about oil prices/energy bill - 2 years ago? Still working on it? Your Supreme leader still thinks gas is at $2.56 a gallon. Now there's a big brain working there.
In the meantime us rednecks are wondering why anyone still listens to leftwing idiots that bray about global warming(not happening)and all the Co2 the've saved by restricting refineries (higher gas prices), restricting drilling (thanks Billonica for that veto in 1994 of ANWR which would be producing about 1 million barrels a day in another 6 years)(higher gas prices)and whatever other stupid eco freak-on they've got stuffed into their suppositories.
And Iraq is still the boogeyman in your pee-brain? I feel for you - Iraqi's don't give a shit about you though, they're pushing for success - almost as hard as the US is. Don't worry your dope-addled little head though. Success has never been appealing to losers. I count my blessings everyday another idiot like you opens it's mouth. The hilarity that ensues is priceless.

Success? What Success?
I can understand why this success you're referring to is not appealing.

Your 'leader' doesn't even know what the price of gas is. He should go back to drinking, at least then he would have an excuse for being such an idiot.

Senator McSame was against Bush' Tax Cuts before he was for 'em. McSame was for cutting back troops in Iraq before he was against it. McSame was against torture before he was for it. McSame was against taking money from lobbyists before he was for it. McSame was against Health Care reform before he was for it. Looks like the Straight Talk Express has gone off the damn tracks.
And in other news. Dems pick up another house seat - it's gonna be a long, long year for Republican candidates.
Democrat Don Cazayoux has won a special election tonight for a Louisiana seat that has been in Republican hands for over 30 years. How bad is that news? That district voted 59% for President Bush in 2004. Ouch!!!!

It's 2008, Kerry's not running - Senator McSame - 100 Years in Iraq is. And McSame's the worst canddiate, it's not even close. He's Bush, recycled. Same old, same old for Iraq, the economy, or energy. As if any of that's been working. Been there, done that, didn't work.
ANd that's the second Republican house seat the Democrats have taken,

Well, for whatever it is worth:
... a few nights ago, after having had perhaps a tad too much salmon pâté for dinner whilst at sea between Nassau and Freeport, Grand Bahamas...
... I had a most disturbing and terrifying dream: that JFK had arose from the grave and was introducing a President Obama at his inauguration.
And it was further revealed by the resurrected JFK that Obama was only marginally better than either McCain or the Hildabeast.
I tell you, I awoke in a cold sweat indeed!

"I tell you, I awoke in a cold sweat indeed!"
Seek, had you awakened in the "doldrums" it may have been one thing. Of course this assumes you'd be sailing rather than on one dem big ole cruising ship thingies. I see no good excuse for being aboard ship steaming for the southern islands and having such silly dreams. Fred & I hell even Harpie and DaBoob would surely have been draming of 'kini clad island girls with long plaited hair.

"--- Seek, had you awakened in the "doldrums" it may have been one thing. ---"
I'm not terribly sure where the doldrums are, but as we were a day and a half outside of our return leg to NYC... probably at a latitude equivalent to North Carolina or Virginia, as well as the superabundance of the salmon pâté I ate too late into the night and the insane looping of Obama coverage on both CNN and Fox all made contributions to the pallor of my skin and the frightful stuff of my dreams.
Fortunately, the dream was short-lived, and well-displaced by the other many enjoyable sights.
And granted, we kept rather busy between the swimming, hot tubs, dancing, chasing the kiddo around the decks and trying to contain his exuberance over the big steering wheel on deck 12, or the fans in one of the eating venues... as well as the excellent live entertainments that we saw.
So, we only caught the telly sparsely. Not surprisingly, it wasn't worth paying much attention to, although I did miss out on Battlestar Galactica on Friday. Not a terrible loss since they carry full-length episodes on SciFi.com.
Yet, it was enough to seemingly walk in on the exact same loop of footage about how Obama was dissing his pastor or how the Hildabeest was going to come back from behind and snag the remaining supers.
Nothing of note about Johnny Mac though, for which he is probably more than a little happy about.

Actually a bit farther south and west of Cuber. It's a place known for slack wind and sailingg ships would get stuck there for days.
"I did miss out on Battlestar Galactica on Friday."
Friend this is beginning to sound like Harpie on Vacation, dreaming of politics, watching TV but I guess once you've done the pool, skeet shooting, shuffleboard and the macarina, there isn't alot left to do on a cruise........yet people go back.

"--- Friend this is beginning to sound like Harpie on Vacation, dreaming of politics, watching TV but I guess once you've done the pool, skeet shooting, shuffleboard and the macarina, there isn't alot left to do on a cruise........yet people go back. ---"
Trust me, the silly dream only accounted for about 0.00000000000000000000012% of my thought process during the cruise. Much more of it was devoted toward chasing my kiddo around Deck 7, as he had taken a liking for trying to snatch people's shuffleboard discs, or trying to convince me to hoist him up to one of the two dozen ceiling fans in one of the buffet-style eateries.
And the telly was suitably boring, with seven channels devoted to the cruise line's advertising or hawking the emerald company it has shares in, or telling us how far we had to the next port or how warm the hot tubs were, with two Fox News channels, CNN, ESPN, and Cartoon Network. Not much too watch, not that we watch much Hell-i-vision anyway.
BSG (Galatica) just appeals to my inner child's desire to see big spaceships and bad guy robots get blown up, and is the only TV programme I watch with any sort of regularity.
