What in the hell is wrong with the moronic voters of Massachusetts?
Ted Kennedy has made clear to confidants that when his time is up, he wants his Senate seat to stay in the family - with his wife, Vicki.
Multiple sources in Massachusetts with close ties to the liberal lion say his wife of 16 years has long been his choice to continue carrying the family flame in the Senate. Kennedy won the seat in 1962; his brother John held it from 1953 to 1960.
"There's no question that he'd like Vicki to continue in his seat," said one Massachusetts Democrat with ties to the Camelot clan who spoke to Kennedy recently, before his health crisis.
The item suggests that, with the support of a "dying" Kennedy, it's likely Teddy's wife could win his seat. If that state wants to let the heirs of an anti-semitic bootlegger own it - fine. But must they continue to inflict this dysfunctional family on the nation by electing its members to national office - at least the ones who haven't been formally charged with a felony? They opt out of politics for med school.
America would be well served by getting over this Royal Kennedy garbage.
Why not just award the seat posthumously to Mary Jo Kopechne as sort of a "Sorry about that, kid"? At least that would display some class.

Well, that was pretty dumb...

Further proof of the stupidity and irrelevance of you 'conservatives'. Don't you guys have an election to lose??

Dan,
I was very interested in the Christa Worthington murder case and the conviction of Christopher McGowan. There were lots and lots of discussion on websleuths and other blogs, including the Cape Cod newspaper.
Many of the bloggers thought McGowan was innocent and that he had been railroaded by the corrupt law enforcement officials on Cape Cod. They also spoke of the corruption in the State Police, in Boston, about Whitey Bulger, the corruption of the FBI, etc. etc.
But, what was really funny was that here and there someone would say - we should ask Sen. Kennedy to look into this case, he'll straighten this out - and no one challenged that. No one said a bad word about him. Belief in his royalty or fear of his wrath?

LOLS!
Good thing we don't live in a Democracy, or it would be up to the people of Massachusetts to decide. Maybe you could get Michael Steele on the ballot again. That worked well the last time.
Better yet, is there someone with the last name of Bush you could fit on the ballot? You know, for contrast.

If you haven't read 'The Puritan Oligarchy" you should. In a nutshell, most immigrants arriving in Boston realized that the descendants of the Mass. Bay Colony had effectively enslaved everyone else, including the survivors and descendants of the agrarian Plymouth Bay Colony. Smart newcomers moved west, as soon as they could. Over time, the rest managed to erode the quality of the collective gene pool. In time, the brahmins managed to lower their collective IQ, through inbreeding. The net result is the current body politic.

Don't I remember a female member of Fat Ted's family being a drunken slut and being rounded up by the police and put away in a dry out facility (hid from the public) not long ago. Great, that is an automatic win for the democrats since it matches most of the democrat members of congress. How about a married man involved in a homosexual affair and using crack in 1999 for POTUS? Yep, that's the normal democrat also. Actually I love it. It's fun watching an entire political party get behind destroying their country and their own families. At 68YO I try to give a sh** about the future of the country, but it always turns to laughter when it involves the democrats comitting suicide. BDS is having the predicted effect. Wounded ego's progress to complete insanity. Mary Jo is unavailable for comment.

We just had our own transfer of power here when our congressman, Robert Matsui died a couple of years back. His wife Doris was annointed with the job and is basically running uncontested for the postion. Kind of sounds like the Kennedy, Clinton and Bush families. Enough of the family dynasties already.

Sad thing is, the further we move from God and the knowledge AND enforcement of the laws, especially the Constitution, the further also we move from being a constitutional Republic and closer to an elitist tyranny.
Methinks that if Massachusettians have any desire for freedom, they will elect to end the Kennedy monarchy.
Of course, with all that has come out of MA since after the eighteenth century, it is a high hope to have for them.

Hilarious. The GOP and the "conservative {bowl} movement" are rapidly sliding into the dustbin of history, and you all are dutifully rehasing your increadibly witty Chappaquiddick jokes.

I always liked how Kennedy's dog was named "Splash".

It's what we in the upper-crust neo-con Jack Bauer crowd refer to as "Classy".
Now sit back and grab a bag of popcorn or you'll miss the implosion.

Term limits. They won't leave unless their told to; they think taking opportunity away from others is okay. 50 years and now the wife? Castro is doing fine.............

The anger and patriotism shown by you 28%ers is inspiring. I would encourage a bit more positivity though. Let's try, "John McCain isn't old - he's EXPERIENCED" or "We haven't lost in Iraq - YET". I suggest you patriots try it. Thank you as always for your service. The SURGE is WORKING!!

Bob, that's pretty rich coming from a 16%er.
Oh, and the surge is working. Even Pelosi has figured that out.

Gonna be tough to run on that one. Maybe running away from it will work.
