Was ACORN Obama's First Political Party?

There's a lot of buzz being generated about Obama, ACORN and Obama's first political party - The New Party. How did the Oba-messiah get this far without anyone reporting he was a member of a fringe Leftist political party? Where the hell is the media anyway? Oh, I know. It was just Chicago ... so he could get on the ballot, yadda yadda.

Illinois: The first NP (New Party) (the Wiki) member heads to Congress, as Danny Davis (this Lefty is still in Congress) wins an overwhelming 85% victory yesterday (he got a higher percentage of the vote in that district than the President). NP member and State Senate candidate Barack Obama won uncontested. Interestingly, it appears that the local Democratic machine is trying to distance itself from our folks. At a "Democratic Unity" march on Chicago's West Side, a flyer invited community members to join with a host of local democratic candidates. The only two west-side Democrats not listed: NP members Danny Davis (U.S. House candidate) and Michael Chandler (Alderman and Ward Committeeman).

Now here's the thing - Stanley Kurtz addresses much of Obama's significant ties to ACORN. But in a sense, the New Party was ACORN. ACORN ran get out the vote efforts for NP members, as Kurtz points out. And this below from the wiki linked up above. Obama is starting to make McGovern look like Scoop freakin' Jackson. Maybe we should start calling him Oba-commissar, instead of messiah. It might actually fit.

After a false start in New York, the New Party built modestly successful chapters in several states. Some of these chapters — such as those in Chicago and Little Rock — had their main bases of support in the low-income community organizing group ACORN, along with some support from various labor unions (especially ACORN-allied locals of the Service Employees International Union).

If Obama gets the nod from the Dems, it looks like their candidate's color this time out is going to be Red ... not blue.

Come on. This story's such a joke, the MSM's failure here is the repeated assertion the ACORN was some how involved in vote fraud. ACORN was ripped off bu a couple staff people who turned in fake cards so they could collect paychecks without doing any work. No one could have possibly voted illegally and the only harm done was to ACORN's balance sheet. Besides, so what if Obama has ties to ACORN, its the countries largest community organization representing low income families, are the republicans/conservatives really that scared of poor people who want to get together and build stronger communities?

If you ever have a chance to go to Arkansas especially around areas like Cotter which is near the Bull Shoals Dam on the White River area you will find it is almost fully populated there with people retired from the Chicago area.

They are a force to be aware of in local Arkansas politics that is under many peoples radar.

Just how did the battle of wills play out behind the scenes?

CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine reports Obama felt betrayed and Wright felt sand-bagged. Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church said he has been speaking to both men as the events of the past 24 hours unfolded.

He counseled Obama Tuesday morning, and while CBS 2 talked to him Tuesday evening, Rev. Wright called his cell phone.

"I don't think he had any intention to hurt Barack. He loves Barack," Pfleger said. "I think the pain and the moment took over."

That moment was in a place Pfleger called "a lion's den" – The National Press Club. "

Pfleger brags to all the Chicago news people that he's the go-between for Reverend Wright and Obama and on the phone with both of them all the time to try to make peace with them.

Pfleger and Obama are tight as ticks. But since Obama is on the "down low" I guess that means he always gets to be on top! Ha!

There usually is some shred of truth to stuff like this, although the odds are definitely against anything emerging from it to help damage Obama's campaign.

The only problem is -- if there really is such a thing, you can be sure that the ultra-left Obamassiah-worshiping MSM will keep it buried in the Marianas Trench, as they try and dazzle us with more of his message of "hope and change". Whoever could speak out about it authoritatively has likely been either bought off at a great price, or threatened with loss of life, limb and family.
