Allegedly, Hillary's internal polls have her up by double digits in PA. Hmm.
That may not jibe with Fast Eddy Rendell playing down expectations over the weekend on some news show. But things are all about expectations right now with the PA vote this week.
If you think the current civil war within the Democrat Party is something, let Hillary win huge in PA ... and you ain't seen nothin', yet. That would seriously empower the meme that the Big O is unelectable in the General Election. Which may be the case now, no matter what happens in PA.
Presidential races are almost always decided by small margins. Obama's politics, connections and remarks have probably lost him just enough support to pull out a win over McCain.
Leave it to the Dems to self-destruct. They're good at it. Though it's unclear which party is better, frankly. They both leave a great deal to be desired these days.

While I would love to say I was imitating the way I imagine you 'tawk' I have some keyboard issue that causes letters to be missed. I'd 'axe' you but I don't want to interupt your "stories". Let me 'axe' you this; Does it bother you that people think you're a worse poster than the boob? 'Expecially' since he's at least funny.

Well Willie, unfortunately there are only two choices, one of who promises to continue the failed policies of George Bush.
"Also...you have no idea who I will support so stop imagining you do."
I know you are a Bush apologist.

"Change" from [bad] to [even worse] cannot be considered a good thing.
Some of us (myself particularly) find a lot of what Bush (and more accurately, Bush's men) has done to be grievous to this Republic.
The Socialism of Hillary, Obama, and to a lesser extent, McCain, is not and never shall be the answer; returning to the ancient paths which have always worked, and adhering to our Constitution is what we need to do.
We need to mind our own business as a nation, before that business runs away from us.

I'm sorry you couldn't answer that post Harpie. Guess that happens when you're so judgemental. I'd 'axe' you to point out any bush apologist posts but I know you have a hard time backing up your claims. Let me tell you again, my inattentive little friend, I do not back any party. I back the person or persons whom I think will be best for the job. That is why even though I would like to see my current demonrat governor ridden out of Raleigh on a rail, the man I support to replace him is himself a demonrat. Screw the party, any party and may all partisans get food poisoning. Only fools join parties.......... There will be no real change in DC except that a different bunch of rich white folk will get their backs scratched.

jharp, I think Willie has intimated here that he is likely to support Obama.
Although his reason for doing so might not necessarily be the same that you would do so.
The only positive effect out of an Obama presidency would be to shake the Christians and conservatives awake, as the Obamites lunge forward to oppress Bible-faithful Christians and gun owners and those other "embittered souls" who cannot and will not feed from the Socialist trough.
God forbid that Obama wins in November, but if God so brings His righteous and True Judgment against us, then let us pray and hope that this compels sinners (and wayward saints) to repent, and compel conservatives to reform the Republican Party, or otherwise leave that dead, rotting pachyderm carcass behind and flock to the party of the Constitution.

Well, Obama wants to bring the troops home. I'd say that's a start for "minding our own business".
So what about those multi-billion dollar bailouts for banks? Is that socialism?

Seek I dont think these people care about the constitution or anything but "change", no matter what that change may entail. It is obvious though, if you question or disagree with anything they say you're automatically a bush supporter. Sad beings these. Fortunately, what ever happens in Nov. my life will change very little. Ha! I bet that cheeses the partisans even more! One side or the other will be kicking rocks and whining like grounded children while I make an adjustment or two and live as a free man.
BTW, it's earth day, let's hope it sticks this time and we really do become better stewards of the earth...........................

"--- Well, Obama wants to bring the troops home. I'd say that's a start for "minding our own business".

Perhaps it is.
A good step better would be to bring them home, and KEEP them home. That means no interventions in Bosnia, Darfur, or anywhere else aside from what sparing few mutual defense treaties are in our best interest to remain a part of (such as maintaining right-of-access to Panama Canal, or naval docking rights in Japan to work with the Japanese SDF as needed).
I think I've mentioned my 5-3-1 plan for the Navy, Army, and USAF... enough to repel invaders, shoot down enemy missiles, and God forbid the need should arise, but a guaranteed ability to return a nation-killing retaliation in event of a WMD strike.
And bailouts are nothing more than corporate welfare -- but the best thing we could do would be to rid ourselves of the Hedge Fund Fiends and the Jackanapes who run that thief's den called the Federal Reserve.
Let us return to a gold and silver backing for a real currency. This will go great lengths to limit the reach of government, once the power of the minting press is out of the hands of a few private bankers, and back in the hands of the people.
And happy earth day to y'all as well - and although my motivation for being green stems more from saving a few gallons of gas than it does from reducing my carbon foot print... God did make Adam and his children to be stewards of this world.
My local grocer gets a giggle out of joke about how Algore wouldn't like it if I bagged each piece of fruit in plastic as I've seen many folks do.

Willie,
I, like you, do not belong to either party.
My priorities. Single payer health care system and ending the occupation of Iraq. And a more equitable tax code. And I think folks would be amazed at the good these simple events would have on our economy.
Oh, and I'm a big believer in Civil rights for all.
The candidates most resembling my hopes are Democrats.

"jharp, I think Willie has intimated here that he is likely to support Obama."
Actually I've said right out that I will support Obie on 6 May and it isn't only because I despise Hilda. I am still undecided about the general election because I've mulled a protest vote for the Libertarian or sitting it out completely.
"God did make Adam and his children to be stewards of this world."

Well Harpie, we're not likely that far apart. I do want some sort of insurance reform, though I also want ALL insurance reformed. I never wanted our progeny in that sand box but I struggle with dropping them like we did the Vietnamese. I guess there's blood on my hands either way. I think by equitable you mean you want the rich punished and it has little to do with "fairness" but I will agree that we need change. I doubt any of these will have a significant effect on the economy, "expecially" punishing the people who build factories. It's a bit sad that you mention civil rights as an after thought you almost forgot.
Posted by: WAHOO WILLIE | Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 04:11 PM
Single payer health care system.
If it goes like the rest of the industrialized world the savings could be $1 trillion annually. That and freeing small business from a terrible burden that could allow them focus on business and not managing employee healthcare.
"and ending the occupation of Iraq" could be $200 billion in savings annually.
A very good start.
"And a more equitable tax code."
I don't want to punish anyone. Just find a way to pay our bills.
And more specifically I think Warren Buffet should at the least pay the same rate as myself. Probably more but without question not less.

Yeah, but seriously... The wingnut vote isn't going to Obama, jharp. Honestly, I prefer it that way. If guys like Willie and Fred and TK were voting for Obama, I can only assume there would be something wrong with him and I might have to withhold my own vote.
These are the guys who cheer-leaded for the indefinite detention and torture of innocent prisoners in Abu Garaib and Gitmo after they'd finished re-electing the most corrupt President since Ulysses S. Grant on the "Restoring Integrity to the White House" platform. Willie's vote, honestly, doesn't even matter. He's not part of the 60-70% of the population that has completely lost faith in the GOP and conservative politics. Don't worry about him.
If anything, its nice to make guys like Willie blow off a little extra bit of the crazy just so that when he finally does go into the booth to pull the lever for St McCain, people will know exactly what type of guy is going for yet another round of Bush League business. But don't believe him for a second when he or Seek talk about third party candidates. They're crazy, but they're not stupid. They'll be voting in opposition to Obama. It'll be because his preacher scares them or because he lives in Chicago or because his father was a double-super-secret Stalin worshipping radical muslim terrorist sympathizer. Or - in Fred's case - because Obama's black and someone has to cast a vote for the Superior Race. Whatever happens to be on the front page of the New York Post might be all the pressure they need. But they'll cast another vote for reckless spending on overpriced mercenaries and incompetent government contractors, welfare for the rich, shittier roads, and billion dollar bail-outs to deregulated banks. And they'll wave their little American flags while some right wing noise jockey calls them patriots.
:p That's your 26%ers for you.

Oh my chrissy has squeezed into her thong and reincarnated as pookie the llama. I see you've spent all day in school and learned nothing new. Ulysses S. Grant, was incompetent not crooked get it straight if you're going to cast aspersions. "I might have to withhold my own vote." You probably shouldnt be allowed to vote anyway so go ahead. "These are the guys who cheer-leaded for the indefinite detention and torture of innocent prisoners in Abu Garaib and Gitmo." Cheer(lead)??? No, but I admit to not giving a shit. Hummm, guess one would have to care to cheerlead, but I guess you'd know more about that. "He's not part of the 60-70% of the population that has completely lost faith in the GOP and conservative politics." Damn, you got one right!!
"But they'll cast another vote for reckless spending on overpriced mercenaries and incompetent government contractors, welfare for the rich, shittier roads, and billion dollar bail-outs to deregulated banks." Now wait a damned minute and make up your mind blondie. Are we going to waste our vote for a third party or are we going to vote for one of the "two" candidates. Geeze it's hard to keep up with a rat.
"And they'll wave their little American flags ." EVERY G-D DAY UNTIL THE DAY I DIE BABY!!!!! and knowing that people like you, who have sucked all they can and benefitted most from this country hate it............gives me a chubby

eh, I kinda like my little pookie TK. Juene Fille has some fire in her belly even if she is given to unsubstantiated inuendo. In fact, the only poster here that I find completely unlikeable is chris. What a miserable individual chris must be. I'm starting to suspect she may be pookie the llama's room mate though. Yeah, I even find old boob in da basement to be slightly funny once in a while. Yeah, it does appear that the "insults" come from the same less than ingenius mind but I have a hard time picturing chris not being a female. In fact, I picture chris as one of those models from the magazines you can only get in Mexico. In a bikini she looks like 20 pounds of potatoes shoved into a 10 pound bag. Doesn't shave...anything. Yet still feels sexy enough to shop for Vickie's Secrets. She had a man once, but Budweiser needed him back to pull the wagon. She's always sad, angry and wants everyone around her equally miserable. Da Boob just seems like a smart ass who posts here while he looks at porn on the computer.

"and ending the occupation of Iraq" could be $200 billion in savings annually."
Now, Harpo, you have saved us one trillion two hundred billion in just one simple stroke. And all the goofy Libs in Congress have been able to do is add hundreds of billions to Bush's budget. How do you like that math, Moe?
Murtha will be able to erect a 500-ft high platinum statue of himself in PA for that kind of dough with enough left over to bur everyone in PA a new car.

Wow. I can't say I'm surprised that your fantasy women are as scary as all of that, but disturbs me all the same. You know, you are on the internet, Willie. If you wanted to jerk off to something, there are much more attractive images just a mouse-click away.

Maybe, maybe not. Just dont ruin the vision if I'm wrong.....
You're actually nicer than you pretend to be here. Intelligent enough to converse with anyone. You laugh alot. Little shorter than average and too thin, probably a vegan. You're "cute" but not quite pretty. Probably have short, spiky red hair, green eyes. You dont take any shit but you only play bitchy online. Glasses, black frames. I doubt you dress nicely probably a little frumpy to hide the small frame.
Not as easy to be colorful with people I dont dislike.

Heh. Funny how pictures form.
I'd pictured Moe as a weedy-looking latte-sipping guy, the kind who wears a sun visor backwards and upside down, with a chinstrap beard or possibly a goatee, and trying to affect a "skater boy" look that he probably should have outgrown in the couple-three years since he graduated from the university.
Maybe he is a bit chubby, but for some reason, I could see him as being almost anemically thin.

Moreover, the use of a fantasy fiction genre character such as "Zifnab", an old wizard in the "Death Gate Cycle" series of books; he is something in the mold of Gandalf, and that bespeaks a certain level of geekiness that is uncommon to female flesh.
