Pool Report for Thursday Obama New York City FundraiserAt a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser Thursday afternoon at the Credit Suisse building in Manhattan, Sen. Barack Obama echoed the themes he’d discussed in a speech about the economy earlier in the day.

“For those of you who are just weary of the primary, and feeling kind of ground down or that it’s like a Bataan death march, I just want everybody to know that the future is bright."

New York Times: "One Obama adviser moaned that the race was “beginning to feel like a hostage crisis” and would probably go on for another month to six weeks."

"An Obama presidency is not going to give us a national discussion on race, but a foreign policy that is a four-year-long international conference on grievance, for the world has many grievances with America."
