The spin around the cancellation of a three-day speaking engagement by Obama's former pastor Jeremiah Wright looks just a tad out of control. Hopefully Obama will do better at spin control if he ever gains the White House.
From here we learn that Wright's scheduled appearance had mostly become too distracting, despite strict media guidelines and no video or audio allowed.
UPDATE: Wrights three-day appearance was cancelled today, according to the St. Petersburg Times. The churchs(sic) Rev. Earl Mason said at a press conference that Wrights scheduled appearance had become a media circus and was detracting from the 10th anniversary celebration for the congregation.
No wait, it was primarily security concerns. Check that, it was both - though the local police seem to disagree. Maybe it was insecurity concerns on the part of Obama who, while realizing he's in a strong position as regards the nomination, also knows it isn't quite yet wrapped up? It's a thought, anyway.
TAMPA, Fla. -- Barack Obama's former pastor canceled his appearance Tuesday at a Tampa-area church citing security concerns, even though local law enforcement officials said they were prepared to provide protection. The hosting church said it asked the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to cancel his scheduled three-day appearance because of security questions, but local law enforcement officials said they were ready.

Of COURSE he cancelled! To paraphrase a line from Patton, "Remember, Jeremiah your worst enemy is your own big mouth!" This guy's a loose cannon. Obama can't have him running around foaming at the mouth. Wright could no more set aside his "Hate Whitey and Hate America" shtick than David Duke could his about blacks and Jews.

So far Obama has had to hide a racist wife and pastor along with two Jew-hating foreign policy advisors, who is next?
Yet the media and the Democrats still love the "Hate-talk Express" Obama campaign.
Note:
Love that description of Obama's campaign by a caller to the Limbaugh show.

In all seriousness, Obama's church could be any black church in the US, and there are thousands more with exactly the same ideals and agenda.

I just heard on Fox a few minutes ago that Wright has also canceled appearances in Houston as well as the Tampa cancellations of yesterday.
