It's been said before, but I'll say it again: It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I feel most sorry for his daughters.

I still can't figure out why these guys think they can get away with it. I think they secretly want to be caught. Or maybe there day to day life in politics and government is so boring they need some kind of real excitement.

Frankly the NY press doesn't look that tough, having missed the story for what? 10 years?

Are these journalists or historians?

Makes sense to me.

The chances he was caught the first time are minute.

As are the chances he first decided to give it a try for $1,000 an hour.

THE FORMER MRS ELITO SPITZER WILL WALK AWAY WITH MILLIONS!

AND SHE'S CUTE.

AND A SOUTHERN BELLE.

I'D SCOOP HER UP IF I COULD!

"--- Spitzer expected to pull out tomorrow. ---"

He better. Assemblyman Tedisco has threatened to bring impeachment charges if he doesn't resign.

Scuttlebutt is that Lieutenant Governor (soon to be just "governor") is quite the Albany insider that Spitzer wasn't. I'm kinda hoping Spitzy sticks around and tries to fight down an impeachment... except that unlike his brother Democrat Billy Clinton, there is likely enough evidence to put Spitzer behind bars for quite some time... and he doesn't look like the sort who would last long in prison without being made into somebody's punk.
