Um. No.

Building a working majority for change is about winning over enough Independents and Republicans to actually accomplish goals once in office. Having a broad mandate. And getting there without pessimistic, cynical attacks.

Pressing Clinton on transparency is optimistic and hopeful. I hope she discloses her tax returns. Don't you?

In any event, putting Huckabee Clinton's vanity campaign out of its misery with bodyblows in self-defense is different than paying a pollster with a lifetime subscription to Dunkin Donuts $10 million to produce ads that exploit xenophobia and irrational fear.

Call Obama angelic all you want, but even angels had to descend from Heaven to lay down the sword of Justice. It's decapitation time.

Amen.

"I invested in myself and now I have to pay it back, how unfair is THAT? "

Well, personally I think people who make over 200 grand a year should pitch in to ensure that every child get a FREE Princeton and or Harvard level education. Ah not really, only the elites should be able to do that on someone elses dime. The rest of you should go into something a bit easier, like serving the elites. I mean just how much education do you need to ask "want whippy creme on your latte Missus Obamarama?"

Self-Defense is Justified -- Ahhhhh-hhahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Thanks. I haven't laughed so hard for weeks. That attitude is *exactly* what St Obama or Obamessiah or whatever really, really needs to become the next President. Keep it up. Oh, god, keep it up. I'm gonna have to buy another whole truckload of popcorn for this.

Obama jumped the shark yesterday, big time.

What is Obama like after the initial infatuation is over? He's got one big play: the rhetorical 'event'. It brings the curious in; but once you've seen it done 4-5 times, the effect is lost. It was on me, anyway.
Obama at the debates and on the campaign trail seems to be just filler until the Great Speaker ascends to the podium and does his thing. He will only address the nation 2-3 times a year, tops; what will he do in between? I just don't get it.

Why does no one ask the next logical question to this guy? Why should I believe that one rhetorical technique is going to translate into a irresistable force that turns Washington into a shiny, happy city where politics 'as we know it' disappears? I can't. I think Obama's fans are thinking a lot about the convention, and a lot about the victory speech, and a lot about the inauguration, but are thinking very little about Septembe 2009, March 2010, and November 2011. Once the glitter fades away, 'traitorous' compromises have to be made, and the once-friendly media goes full-court press. Is this really the guy you want?

Anyway, Obama cannot win in Ohio, he cannot win in Pennsylvania, he cannot win in Florida, he will have a hard time in Michigan. And that's the Democrats; explain how he puts together a winning map in November.

"What does Clinton have to hide, Volumes I through XXIV?"

There, fixed it for you

Yowzah, Yowzah.......The Obama bill will come due one day after he is anointed as the nominee when he actually has to produce some form of plan for "CHANGE".....I'm guessing the plan will be "TAX & SPEND!" But then, he is a Democrat. If it is the Hildabeast who wins, thru chicanery and subtrafuge, then the problem for the DEMs will be, how to hide Bill and Hill's first 8 years.....

The GOP has to be loving this. Even as McCain, the chosen one for the NYT and others, is now the outcast cause he won!

Love it!

Michelle Obama is turning out to be a real liability. There is a certain culture of Liberals in the US who revel in a heroic image of themselves as stalwarts against a benighted America in perpetual decline. But they are only tolerable to the public in small doses. Over time it becomes apparent that there is no state of affairs which will redeem the country from their condemnation. Michelle Obama's constant derogation of America seems reflexive. Her criticism is melodramatic and undifferentiated. Eventually you ask yourself - if you're really so concerned, why don't you make an effort to specify the problems, why do you just jump from one thing to the next and claim that each problem is worse than the next? Would it really be so bad if things weren't as dire as you assume?

All together now kids:

"This Can Only Be Bad For The Democrats!"

See, doesn't that make everyone feel better?

Moe hits a 2-RBI double off the wall when he writes:

Madame O seems to be equal parts Theresa Kerry and Cynthia McKinney, a decidely unsavory combo that will turn off far more people than it turns on.

When the millionaire wife of a millionaire US Senator complains that fruit stand produce is too expensive, or that American is just plain mean, or that there's poison in every bottle or packaged food, or that racsism in America is as natural as motherhood, apple pie or the 4th of July, that tends to offend people. A great many people.

It's comical when Hussein Obama's crimes are pointed out. His only reply is 'lood at thunder thighs' she did it to. His previous child like remark 'she started it' should tell most people ,except brain dead democrats, what they are trying to elect.

Obama is like a catchy tune...
sounds great, with a catchy rift, but after the intro, you have to come up with lyrics.

hrc hits him over the head with having no foreign policy experience, and he answers back she was 'wrong' on Iraq. By his lack of an resume to refute her charges, he can't staunch the bleeding.

combine the flow of info from the rezko trial, nibbling at the margins...

he doesn't have another meaningful win, and goes limping into the convention.

And all Obama can do is step off the curb into the gutter with Clinton, thereby surrendering the high ground upon which his entire movement has been built and resigning himself to playing on Clinton, Inc's home field?

playing this style of politics will work to clinton's advantage. i'm sorry barack, but you can't hurt hillary by exposing her scandals. The scandals are old news. She already has high negatives. I don't think it can go any more higher.

OTOH, barack's negatives have no place to go but up if he allows himself to be dragged into the mud with hillary.

"Building a working majority for change..."

Ok, I'm tired of guessing...change to what? Or do we have to elect him first before he'll let us in on the secret?

Ikeep seeing the libs pointing to turnout as sign of things to come.

what if this is just a battle of their own fears?
obama supporters hate clinton and think she is unelectable, and clinton supporters are resigned to the fact that Obama can't win, because he was 'black'(their opinion, not mine), and has no experience.

anecdotally, my lib friends who all voted in the primary when asked why they were voting for:

3 obama backers: hillary can't win with those negatives

4 clinton(2 were formerly in edwards camp): obama has no experience, and is poised to bleed out over rezko, the press never vetted his empty campaign

not one of the 7 offered that their candidate would address an issue they cared about. All agreed that withdrawal wasn't going to happen with either candidate, and all 7 had health insurance, which they were happy with...
