Obamaniacs Have No Super Delegate Argument

Does the DNC read this blog??? LOL Okay, kidding - but I did recently point out the need for this from the DNC and it was picked up by Instapundit. Now let's put to rest a little hypocrisy that's being elevated to the level of conventional wisdom, including by some on the Right like Sean Hannity.

When it comes to Florida and Michigan, the Obamaniacs are screaming, play by the rulez!! Okay, fair enough. But, guess what? For better or worse, DNC rulez allow for Super Delegates to vote their conscience, or however they wish, and not abide by any state results. You don't like it? Fine. Change it ... next time around. For now, you're stuck. If you want to make the it's the voters argument, you have to get Florida and Michigan voters into the game. If you want to make the rulez argument, the Super Delegates are fair game for Hillary, regardless of any other result.

And if you want to have it both ways ... well, I guess that just makes you a typical liberal and possibly an I want my cake and I want to eat it, too Obamaniac, to boot.

Howard Dean will not bend the party rules to grandfather in the disputed delegates from Michigan and Florida, the Democratic party chairman said in a statement today.

Instead, he put the state parties on notice: either they can wait and allow the credentials committee to decide whether to seat their delegates, or submit to a re-vote sanctioned under DNC rules. "We look forward to receiving their proposals should they decide to submit new delegate selection plans and will review those plans at that time," he said in the statement.

I'm somewhat of an Obama supporter, I wouldn't call myself an Obamaniac. Personally I think saying that the superdelegates should vote their conscience is an ironic statement because it assumes that democratic superdelegates have a conscience, and that's a bit of a stretch.

Superdelegates are politicians, and politicians (republican and democratic) always make the decisions that are most likely to further their career regardless of what their conscience says. This means that the superdelegates of the democratic party are going to back the winning horse regardless of who they support. That's what in late 2007 when it looked like a Hillary nomination was inevitable, most superdelegates who decided to support someone decided to support Hillary, but now that it looks like things are headed towards an Obama nomination Obama has been the one getting superdelegates these days. That's why people like Rep. James Clyburn initially were excited about the idea of a convention floor fight that would allow him to play the powerbroker, but now he has become anxious realizing that a convention floor fight might actually give McCain the victory in Novemeber. That's why dems like John Lewis initially supported Hillary when it looked like Hillary had the nomination locked up, but now, realizing that he has to run for re-election in a district in which 80% of the democratic voters voted for Obama, in the primary he has switched to the Obama camp. That's why there still are almost 300 undecided superdelegates. The candidates have been campaigning for a year now, you think these people STILL don't have an idea of who they prefer? They know who they prefer, but they are waiting for a clear winner to emerge so they can flock to the winner's camp and pretend that was their preference all along.

Superdelegates don't respond to arguments, they respond to incentives and threats, and that's exactly what the Obamaniacs are using to try and influence superdelegates: a threat. They are saying to the superdelegates: "Imagine what will happen to all these new democratic party supporters who are voting in primaries for the first time if things get to the convention and the democratic party big wigs choose a nominee that wasn't the one the voters picked?" "Imagine what would happen if all these people who are voting in a primary for the first time in their lives and making political donations for the first time in their lives are suddenly made to feel as if their vote didn't count?" The Obamaniacs are saying "Thing about that. Think about how this election might impact your political future. Then decide how you are going to vote/"

Obamanics aren't making an argument, they are twisting arms. They are appealing to the greed, and opportunism on the part of superdelegates. Because superdelegates are politicians. They don't vote their consciences because they don't have consciences. The Obamaniacs aren't asking superdelegates to respect the voters because they know that superdelegates don't care about voters.

For me the issue is now integrity. I no longer choose to be part of a rancid system of back door deals. I've started a quite active campaign to encourage my fellow Democrats to stay away from the Presidential elections if these delegates are seated in their current configuration. And, no, I've never considered voting for a Republican, to "teach 'em a lesson." I have been an active, volunteering Dem all of my life, but maybe this party is past its prime: can't run fast any more, so they fix the race. Hillary Clinton, whom I did support at one time has become the Monster poster child for a corrupt two-party system. Anybody remember the Whigs and Torries ... yes, they thought ther'd go on foreven, too.

The Florida RINO Governor, C. Crist, "Crunchy" I calls him, on account of he always has a deep tan, is in favor of wasting my tax money on a second Democraticic election. Why? I don't like that one little bit. I hope McCain doesn't like it either. Some say Crunchy would be a really keen VP candidate. Another reason for voting "Present" in the big election?

"EVERYTHING is NEGOTIABLE for Demoncrats."

It's easy trooper. Just use tax money to throw another primary. Yeah it's a bit unfair to repugnicans and others who dont want to vote for either candidate. Maybe the dems, since they dont mind using their tax dollars this way, will kick in their "fair share" plus for allowing this in the first place.

Point taken?

EVERYTHING is NEGOTIABLE for Demoncrats.
"Rules? We don't need no stinking rules!"
Hah!

"Didn't Florida and Michigan years ago agree to what these alledged rules Obama is whining about?"

Where's our LameLLama when we need her? I thought it was Hilda and her gang who pushed Fl and Mi to move up their dates and THE HOWLER said "OK but your delegates wont be seated" and EVERYONE was happy until Hilda needed the delegates cause Obie is kicking her butt. I dunno. I do know that if they have a do-over at this point the pist off crackers may exit the swamps and vote for Obie givin Hilda an extra ass whuppin'

Now here's a question. Yeah, the answer will be BDSBDSBDS but anyway: Someone blew up a recruiting station in NYC (probably not a repugnican), The ELFs set fire to several $Million$ dollar homes to save the environment (probably not Mitt supporters) and then there's BERKLEY!! and I'm sure that isn't an enclave of "NeoConism". So here's da querston: Just how many fence sitters will this attract to the demonrats??????

Howard Dean will do ANYTHING NECESSARY to put a Demoncrat in the White House.
Rules mean absoultely NOTHING to the Clintons or DEMONCRATS in general.
Osama Obama will do whatever His Masters tell him to do to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
"FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY AND THE STATE"
Chapters from Marx, improved by Lenin and Stalin.

Yes Virginia, History Repeats Itself.
Florida & Michigan are the tipping point here. Rules, Hah!
Anything is Negotiable here!

Doesn't this just show the inability of the Dems to anticipate posible downsides in their plans and programs?

Why let them revote?

Didn't Florida and Michigan years ago agree to what these alledged rules Obama is whining about?

Think of the entertainment value if this gets carried the the convention floor in Denver...

Nothing says, "loving" like flat out brawl with crazy libtards hitting each other with their silly signs...
