Obama Just Made It Worse

Unbelievable - what is he stupid, or just stubborn? Two new headlines on the "Obama, not the Wright stuff" affair:

Obama Rejects Minister Ally's Fiery Words

But he doesn't reject it. The item offers nothing but what we've already read:

CNN, quoting from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, said Obama took issue with Wright's comments.

"What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice," Obama told the Chicago Tribune in January 2007. "He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics."

And at about the same time, this - which is utterly ridiculous, especially given Obama's crying about Geraldine Ferraro. Not only will this be in the news all weekend, come Monday nothing will have been resolved. Stick an audacious fork in Hope ... he's done. He should do SNL this weekend, perhaps the other Not Ready for Prime Time Players can show him how it's done.

The Obama campaign says they have no plans to ask the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to step down from a campaign spiritual advisory committee. They're stressing that this committee -- the African American Religious Leadership Committee -- was a laundry list of people associated with the campaign and didn't really do anything. The group never actually met.

They say Wright has no formal role on the campaign (unlike some others on this committee who do have a formal role in faith-based outreach). They say he was included mostly out of respect to his long relationship with Obama.

The only politician that can actually BRAG that his history of helping people NEVER included anyone that was not black. Amazing. How deaf can people be? Just ONE white person helped by this man. Just one.

The Christian prophecy that White America will one day be responsible for creating an AIDS virus to kill Africans is a prominent feature of the Book of Trojan 6:9.

this isn't about religion - it's about god damn america, god damn america, god damn american - wait, he did put he word god in it. hmmm

What a red herring...this isn't about the theology of the UCC. It's about the paranoid rantings of a racist conspiracy-monger who has been the spiritual mentor of Barack Obama for the past two decades.

Delete the question and link to your hypocritical statements and ban the IP instead of answering the question. What ever happened to you, Dan?

Here's what you used to think about bashing people on religion:

Could we please get these detailed discussions of anyone’s religion out of the national discussion on who our next president might be? There is no religious test. And some of these freaking evangelicals better get it, or there will be an independent bid. I am sickened by the intolerance I am seeing by some aligned with that faction.

The first fullfledged racist for President, now thats comedy!

Do you forget that forefounders of this "great nation" owned slaves?

Not much religion coming from Obama's "church", what with taking the Lord's name in vain from the pulpit, unless your religion is a deep faith in hatred of America and "white" people.

Looks like Obama is going with the David Duke defense: "You had to belong to get ahead in that neighborhood"

I would add that this certainly clears up why Obama's wife has not been "proud of America in her entire adult life". She and Obama were soaking this up every Sunday morning for 20 years.

I have to laugh at the irony that its going to be the Liberals who nominate the first full-fledged racist for President.

Doc, I rarely ban people, you're getting close. This is your only warning. Find a new drum to beat, that one's very old.

This isn't religion, Doc. It's Black Nationalism with a tax exemption.

All this is very confusing. All during Romney's rise, I was told repeatedly by McCain hating rightbloggers that any criticism of someone's religion was out of bounds. Now, all the sudden, its NOT out of bounds.

I just can't believe its because of political expediency. That would mean right bloggers like Dan have absolutely zero intellectual honesty or consistency. Not one post about the hatred and intolerance endemic to Mormonism, but post after post detailing Jeremiah Wright's every utterance.

If I didn't know better, it would seem like some sort of double standard. I certainly hope its not just because Wright and Obama are black, and Dan has absorbed some of his hero, Romney's, religious beliefs that blacks are inferior, genetically banished from God's grace and therefore open to attacks and condemnation that Dan refused to apply to Romney, because blacks, like Jews, are sub-humans, as taught in the Book of Mormon.

"I categorically reject and repudiate any and all statements by Pastor Wright that become uncomfortably unpopular, despite not having uttered a peep of protest in the past 20 years."

There, that ought to hold the little bas**ards.

Obama will be able to trace his loss of the general election to his refusal to get rid of Wright. I'm guessing he's still going to win the dem primary since it's not that big of a deal to liberals, but this is a huge miscalculation in dealing with the electorate as a whole. Friday, March 14th, 2008 - the day the lugnuts on the wheels of his campaign started to come loose. Say hello to President Mccain, and so long to the presidential hopes of Barack Mcgoverobama.

Hmmmm...lets just imagine if this was a white male who had attended a church headed by the Grand Wizard of the KKK...would he be running for President right now?

Psssssst...Hillary you guys should have broke this story 6 weeks ago!
