I Blame Glenn Reynolds For This

If the Marine / Iraq puppy incident turns out to be the prank I think and hope it might, then ABC has really gone around the bend with this report. h/t Ace

But if the Marine did actually kill a puppy, I'd like to know the guys blog reading habits. Just sayin'. It's either Glenn, or George Bush.

The motivation for such an act, if it did indeed occur, may be as complex and deep as the U.S. war that has dragged on for more than four years, experts told ABCNEWS.com. Chief among them: Having to live with the constant fear of being injured or killed might have led this Marine to take his aggression out on a defenseless animal, several psychologists said.

"if anyone thinks that's a live animal they're a blithering idiot."

Why? Have you not seen a puppy remain perfectly still when its mother picks it up by the nape of the neck. That's natural for them. Try it with a puppy sometime. AS long as you did it properly, those don't move a muscle. Don't know much about dogs, do you?

"You mean this puppy?"

Yeah bob that one. Thanks for sending that link again because on further look if anyone thinks that's a live animal they're a blithering idiot. Still isn't nice to scare little kids and fools though.

I do not see how one miserable excuse for a human being (relax, Bob, I am not referring to you this time) equates to an Army-wide failure to carry out its mission.

If that movie isn't a hoax (I'm presuming it is, because I have a hard time believing that the Army would let this go unpunished for any length of time after it was widely publicised), then he deserves some time in the stockade and reduction in grade.

If anything, the surge is a success, when considered in light of young Iraqis turning away from radical, extremist Islam:

This helps explain why we can't win in Iraq.

His blogging habits? Really?
Talk about self-hating.

Someone proved that several psychologists togather are equally as stupid as one psychologist. This is the brainless drivel that comes from the major colleges today. A few years ago buying a child red underwear made them violent, lately spanking your child make them violent, now the war makes you kill puppies. Why anyone spends a dime in one of these crazies office is beyond me. Any wino on the street can give better advice than the most highly trained nut doctor.

I once sent the link to the Bonsai kitten http://www.shorty.com/bonsaikitten/ to my animal-loving friends.

What would we do without psychologists?

Yeah, one of our left leaning friends used this video yesterday to compare our soldiers to people who teach 12 year olds to cut off hostage heads. Apparently there's no difference. Anyone seeing the video or such an idea on it's face should be totally outraged. However, this knew post causes me to actually take the time to think about it. I've seen those toys but who'd a thunk it? Let's play forensic veternarian a moment: Here's a very clean looking puppy being held by the scruff that never wiggles, never opens it's mouth to breath, pretty much exhibits none of the signs of a living pup that age. Dead meaybe? Look closely, it's curled up...a lot like the picture of the toy or already dead. In the former (if it's a toy) it's stupid, in the latter (playing frisbee with dog carcases) it's sick. I hope it's a fake either way.
