You don't need much more proof that Huckabee's a scum bag, given his accusation That Romney support from Right-side radio talkers is because they were bought off. He can't stop the class warfare. There are two back stories working here. One more speculative but looking better, or worse, if you will, all the time.
When two nominees running for the GOP against one touting Reaganite conservatism and they're hooking up to take him down, when they are both engaged in class warfare, pushing Global Warming - that's a move to moderate the Party in McCain's image. It's Dem-lite, while trying to peel off more Liberal pro-lifers. Huckabee tried something similar with the Southern Baptist Convention. They were bloody wars.
McCain gains control of the party apparatus. Don't underestimate the power of that in changing the party's direction. The second issue is more obvious. The radio talkers realize it, are opposed to it, no matter who owns their networks, because watering down political parties tends to kill them off.
Lastly, who of all the candidates has shown a distaste for the First Amendment? Okay, so now with Right-talkers aligned against him, how long before a President McCain calls Dennis Kucinich and tells him, or whomever, to fire up that Fairness Doctrine? That's especially true now. Because McCain has another well-known trait - he's vindictive to 12 on a scale of 1 - 10.
If you think he doesn't go after radio talkers if elected, you're dreaming. Chalk up one more issue on which Mr. Reach Across the Aisle, aligns with the Left.

The more I see of McCain- Huckabee the more insanely angry I get at these clowns ruining a party I've supported for 30 years.
Coulter is right- a loss is preferable to these nuts getting hold of the controls if they win.

I must say that the paranoia among an ever growing number of those on the right is eerily similar to what has happened on the left in recent past years. In a thread below, I note that a Fox poll that shows McCain with a huge lead over Romney is interpreted as a sign that they are suddenly no longer "trustworthy," leading me to wonder how soon the network will morph into "Faux News" on the right side of the blogosphere.
I see that Daily Pundit has put up a post ever bit as paranoid and conspiratorial as the best of the members of the Truther Movement:
"A deal was made. I don’t know where (I suspect Washington), I don’t know when (I suspect prior to the 2004 campaign), I don’t know what (I suspect McCain was to leave Bush a clear field in 2004 in exchange for Bush’s support in 2008).
"I can’t prove it, but a deal was made. I’m sure of it."
Things are getting so bad and overly emotional that I question whether the right is any more fit to govern than the Kos-left.

Your conclusion is overly broad. A few examples of erratic thinking in a time of great stress does not mean the whole party is wacko.
Wacko is beieving peace will break out in Iraq if we leave. Or that conceding Iraq to al Qaeda won't be a great boon to that organization. Or that the Islamists will go away if we just ignore them.

I'll just as soon actively campaign for Hills or Obama over McCain.
I'd much rather have the professional socialists drive this country to ruin than some half-baked attempt by a faux-conservative (or should I say "Fox conservative"...)

My God (can we still say that, btw?), you people talking about voting for Obama or Hillary over McCain are making me nuts!
It's very simple, folks ... if you vote for either of those cretins, you are VALIDATING them and everything they stand for - which is to say the destruction of our American culture and way of life.
If your intention (like mine)is to repudiate McCain and the choices the Republican Party has given us for the last 20-odd years ... cast NO vote for President! It will be clear from the number of votes cast that Republicans stayed home in droves, and no conclusion other than total dissatisfaction with our nominee was the sole reason. Especially so if we vote Republican in lesser races.

An even better idea.
Yet, a mass abstention of votes (from McCain would wtill put a (D) in the White House.
