The new "rational majority" for the GOP from a volunteer group: looks like Marston is a Sierra Club guy. Figures. - corrupting the utes at GOP event.
I believe that ultimately the frenzied hate-speec
coming from the far-right towards John McCain will backfire in much the same way Bill Clinton's attacks on Obama in South Carolina led to Obama's devastating victory over Hillary there.
I would suggest that those of us working to elect John McCain constitute the new majority in the Republican Party...what I like to term,
the Rational Right.

Support John McCain

HERE IS AN ANALYSIS NO ONE IS CONSIDERING:
I think it is clear the way things are shaping up that McCain will NOT be able to secure the necessary Delegates on Super Tuesday to win the Nomination. Not even close. He will be VERY lucky to get even half way there.
Rasmussen has Romney leading amongst CONSERVATIVES by 16 points nationally.
So here are TWO DYNAMICS which will come into play after Tuesday:
1. It will become clear to even his most ardent supporters that Huckabee has NO CHANCE to win the nomination.
2. Although he may win the most Delegates due to the winner-take-all left-leaning states of the Northeast, it will also be very clear that McCain CONTINUES TO LOSE AMONGST CONSERVATIVES by large margins.
Do you start to see the dynamic? McCain is not getting CONSERVATIVE SUPPORT and Huckabee CANNOT WIN.
This means that there is a great chance going forward after Tuesday that Conservatives will start to ABANDON THE HUCKABEE CAMP and RALLY TO ROMNEY, thus overwhelming Mccain's advantage with Moderates and Liberals.
I believe this is a very plausible scenario.

For what it's worth, that e-mail and the organization behind it are not with the McCain campaign. Here's an item posted on the same item earlier today over at NRO:
A Member of Team McCain Just Emailed Me [Ramesh Ponnuru]
"to note that McCain Victory '08, where that idiotic letter that Mark Levin just posted originated, is a volunteer effort independent from the McCain campaign...."

So saying you won't vote for him is hate speech eh?

uh, Terry read my post. I stipulated it as a volunteer group. Still looks like a semi-pro-organizer from the Sierra Club. What's your point? That he isn'typical of a McCainite? Looks that way to me. Okay, you can go save the planet, now. : )

I read your silly post, noted the italicized word "volunteer," the dig at the Sierra Club, and thought that's a real nice way of inferring a bunch of crap on McCain. If you had the time, I feel sure that far worse "atrocities" could very easily be dug up and used to attack Romney, Huckabee, etc.

The folks at the Corner are saying that this group is not connected to the McCain campaign.

Er, I thought Ron Paul represented the 'far-right hate speecher'. I don't know about anyone else but every time I listen to Ron Paul speak he is so depressing I feel like I want to stick a gun to my head and blow my brains out.
Then again, I suppose it isn't 'hate speech' to call ordinary Americans, who support law and order, racists or lazy bigoted nativists.
On the other hand if I were to say "Open Border People" is just another way of saying "Slave Trader" are my words hate-speech because I detest slavery?
