Update: McCain apologizes?? For what? Someone using Obama's actual name? What a freaking joke this campaign will be. McCain will be killing them with kindness as the Democrat machine behind them eviscerates McCain, turning him into a senile, old war monger.
How long before Right-side pundits abandon McCain, who doesn't exactly have enough money to wage a strong campaign without outside support right now?
Well, what did they expect? Cunningham always calls him Barack Hussein Obama. At least he didn't say that weatherman / terrorist sympathizing, crack abusing, covert Muzzie from the hood. I guess that can wait until the General Election. Goodbye fifty-state strategy, as McCain makes in roads into Blue States across the board.
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- One of the speakers before McCain took the stage used some noteworthy language this morning.
Bill Cunningham, who I am told is a radio host here, repeatedly referred to Obama as Barack Hussein Obama -- at least three times. (Hussein is, as most know, Obama's middle name.)

News flash!
the folks that routinely refer to Bush as "chimpy" are incensed that someone would call obama by his proper name.

Hmm...but these same people didn't complain when Clinton was referred to as William Jefferson Clinton. My...my...what a bunch of hypocrites they are.

Expect the press to continue running cover on any real questions being asked of Obama for as long as possible with more of these phony "victim" stories.

Barrack Obama does not refer to himself as Barrack Hussein Obama in casual conversation (or as some commentators insist B. Hussein Obama). I think people who insist on including the Hussein when referring to him are doing so as to absurdly suggest some secret Muslim loyalty, or to simply play for the votes of John Birch society-type nutcases.
I am in any way a Obama supporter, and I recall Democrats attempting something similar against Bobby Jindal in Louisiana.

I am not a Obama supporter, I meant to say.

I'm of the opinion that Obama is at best neutral toward the terrrorists, and at worse sympathetic towards them. His background is important, his name is important, including the Hussein part of it, and no one desiring a political career would campaign under the name Hussein. Your point is moot, Jim. It doesn't matter what he calls himself, just as Bush never called himself "Chimpy".

if he was so ashamed about his name (which he wasn't), he could have changed it. it's his name, a muslim one at that, from his father. get used to it.

Why should he be ashamed of his name? Frankly who are we to judge? Based on what I know, he should dislike his father due to the fact he abandoned him as a child. Yet he seems to act as if his father ethnicity is some sort of key to his "blackness" which is part of identity he has established that he evolved into. Once could see him looking upon his middle name as a reminder of his past, something to strive beyond; in other words (unlike my father) I will not do X. But apparently, this is not the way he looks upon his father, and nor his father's heritage. Shelby Steele has written on this.
I think too much is being put on the religious aspect here. Senator Obama might have thought his name an advantage in his earlier political career when running for office at a local level in more heavily Democratic districts. It might have then been politically awkward to change his name. Also, it is very doubtful that he looks upon the way in a Daniel Pipes, or especially Robert Spencer-ish way with war of civilizations or the like. He would not feel there is anything shameful about for him to have a name like Hussein, but not for the same reasons that I think so (which are that it was his given name). He would say for reasons having to do with mention some multiculturalist nonsense rather then the name Hussein being dishonored by Islamic terrorism or Saddam Hussein or means the name the name is now dishonored or, because the entire religion of Islam is a "bad religion."
I don't know why this is so important. It is what Obama believes that is important, and that is problematic enough. Clearly Obama is not a Muslim. He seems to be a new-age quasi-Christian that mingles easily with the sort of leftism that he espouses. Does this make us vulnerable on fronts to Islamic extremism? Sure. But the same way as usual with the left.

This is great. If all you guys have is the fact that his middle name is "Hussein", conservatives are well and truly boned come November. Saying he's pro-terrorist or a super top secret Muslim isn't going to work guys. The only ones convinced of that are looney winger types like templar and seeker. Didn't you guys learn anything from the past months where all of your favored candidates dropped like flies? There are very few of you. If you want Republicans to win, you have to get more in touch with what mainstream America cares about. The funny thing is, you'll never get it.

FWIW, you poor deceived sheep... (and by "sheep", I mean you, LOL)...
...I am more concerned with Obama's marxist tendencies and his associations with known domestic terrorists and other extreme leftist enemies of the Republic and traitorous scumbags than I am his loose crypto-Islamic connections. Of course, his buddying up with Islamist leaders should be well marked.
It only underscores the left's ongoing love affair with anti-Americanism and Islamism (including Jihadism).
Even more important is his utter and complete lack of policy experience and his monotonous droning on about change and hope with which he hopes will sweep him into the White House on a tidal wave made up of easily deceived sheep.

only an idiot would think criticizing the disastrous foreign policy of Bush/Cheney was aking to "anti-Americanism".

ah, same old broken record of BDS with you, I see.
Do write back after you finish adjusting that "Che Geuvara" Cuba flag you got on your wall. It's dipping a little to the right.

If you are young you've got an enormous retiring baby-boomer population and a giant meanie-Greenie on your back . I hope you're strong enough to carry both.
Cheers
