Gotdamn!! What else is there to say? Whew! Infreakin'credible!
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Eli Manning lobbed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left to give the New York Giants a 17-14 lead over the unbeaten New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

We need someone with that kind of persistence,(Manning)he gets sacked, and he refuses to go down. Is Romney or McCain that persistent?

Well, if persistence in the face of reality is the measure, than Huckabee would be a good choice. The difference is that unlike McCain & Romney, he has more of a small ground-crew than a football team.
A popular theory for why he appears to be willing to split the conservative vote with Romney and ensure a McCain win is that he has a secret pact with McCain for VP. I don't know what his motivations are, but if Huckabee thinks McCain would be a better choice than Romney for either elect-ability or president than he either has no judgment or is seriously at odds with conservatism. (Either would be bad, no?) If he is still in merely because he personally despises Romney (it is palpable) and can hurt him, then you seriously have to question what kind of person (who claims to be guided by the principles of Christianity) is willing to destroy a movement he claims to espouse in order to exercise his personal demons. Whatever it is, Huckabee has to know that his actions are seriously throwing into doubt whether a conservative can win the nomination.
Any you can't discount McCain for persistence, because look at what he lived through. But he's toxic to conservatives, the party (and the first amendment.
Here's all you need to know about Romney: He is the only one running on a conservative platform. As for his commitment, he has spent a significant percentage of his wealth on this campaign. (It's got to be close to half.) This in the face of many obituaries by gleeful pundits both left and right, especially at the WSJ, which want a nice amnesty package from McCain/Hillary/Obama

What is great about the Giants win is that Eli Manning shut up all his critics. No statue was ever built to a critic.

There is a great difference in playing not to lose and playing to win. The Giants came into the playoffs with a Giant chip on their shoulders and dared anyone to knock it off. And Tampa could not and Dallas could not and Green Bay could not and the Patriots could not. So no parade in Boston tommorow. There will be a parade in NYC instead. Great victory for the underdog. 11 wins on the road in a row for the Giants.Road warriors.
