I suppose this will help propagate the myth that Huckabee is not hurting Romney. Except for a few states, Huckabee has very little support. While he may hurt Romney in some places, it's his role as side kick and attack dog, while praising McCain that really hurts.
Half of the guy's unearned media has been based upon bashing Romney, some of it with outright lies, or conspiracy theories designed to play the class war issue against Romney. As far as the numbers, it's like everything else with Slick II, what you see, isn't what you get.
There's no accounting for the benefit of a Mini-Mac on the stump in that poll.

Mike Huckabee seems to have gotten under your skin, Dan. If Romney is so good, he would appeal to the masses on his own, and what the Huck or McCain did would be of no significance. As it is, Romney is not trusted by all conservatives, and there is a reason for this. He has not been a conservative for very long, and his positions in the past were hardly conservative. You can't blame people for not trusting a politician who claims to be changing his spots. I've reluctantly decided to support Romney after Rudy and Fred departed, but Huckabee does have an evangelical base that will be difficult to pry loose from him.
Today will tell the tale on the Romney candidacy, and I hope he continues, and that McCain is not the Republican nominee. We'll see.

Huckabee has just come out claiming that THERE WAS NO DEAL AT ALL WITH MCCAIN. He only won WV due to the hard work of his supporters.
What utter bullsh**!

What bothers me, TK - is when people portray themselves as conservative to win votes, when their policies are not. And it should trouble any good conservative.
