Of course, there will be plenty of red meat from and for everyone at CPAC. Cheney kicked it off. He expressed great support for President Bush, saying he made the tough calls and saw them through, when others might have not. In a particularly juicy bit, speaking of his support for Bush's decisions: If I had it to do over, would I support the same decision? Damn right I would.
He spoke mostly on terrorism, stating America does not torture and was clearly making a political point. He also briefly addressed the basic Bush foreign policy - to take down the Taliban and Saddam - and not simply leave them for the next dictator to come along. Instead, the goal is to stabilize them as young democracies and cultivate them as partners in the war on terrorism, as opposed to an eventual home for our enemies.
He re-capped a now well known mission in Afghanistan, in which the Medal of Honor (posthumously, I believe) and Navy Cross were awarded, with one survivor. That, said Cheney, is indicative of the great debt we own our armed forces.
He wrapped up and exited to much applause.

Cheney "wrapped up and exited to much applause." That about says it all for the neo-Whigs. Oh, I see that ole Willard is calling it quits. I, for one, am going to miss his tall tales. Fare thee well, Willard!!

"I, for one, am going to miss his tall tales. Fare thee well, Willard!!"
He'll be back, don't worry. I'm sure the man will be a virtual fixture on FOX News over the next eight years, telling us all how he'd be bringing us Ponies and Sunshine if only we hadn't picked the other guy.
And Mitten's "MLK was my bestest black friend" moment was a gross misreinterpretation of his original statement. How the MSM continues to get away with mangling a man's declarations is beyond me. I blame evil commie-lammo-lefti-fascists.

Clearly, Mitt Romney is a Mormon who was seeking the highest office in the history of humanity which means, by extention, he is the anti-Christ.
IMHO, we (everyone) dodged a bullet big time.
