Dan and friends, please put aside your justifiable anger on McCain. We have these wars to win and SCOTUS picks coming up.

One thing for sure, Dan. You can count on the Boob, LLama, Spart, and LOL, God love 'em, to keep reading. And after all the comments, all the arguments, all the insults, how many conversions can they show? LOL, can you name any readers here whom you have converted to socialism? Spart and LLama, how many have you converted into staunch Democratics? Boob, how many new nihilists have you made?

The Boob and friends ain't here to convert anyone. They know just as well as we do that socialism and liberalism (not _classical_ Lockean liberalism) are but dead ends, a tourniquet to try and suffocate the symptoms and not actually cure anything other than the victim's persistent heartbeat.

Pesky hearts, who needs 'em, right?

But Boob and his 537,000 aliases, and the other libbies on RWV keep reading, both for their amusement and ours. It's all in good fun. :)

"It's all in good fun. :)" Well, seek, you are a true Christian with a view like that. But perhaps the Mona Lisa sideways smile has a meaning other than "fun". But you focused on the socialist segment of my comment; my "fun" was in the last sentence.

BTW, getting back for a moment to the party's new message to us

Daniel Henninger in the WSJ wrote this 2/7/08: "The Web is an engine of constant complaint, not idea formation." This is from a guy whose colunn is titled "Wonderland". It could as well be titled "My Weekly Complaint". I guess he titled it Wonderland because to a really self-styled smart guy like him the whole world around him is so dumb that it is a wonder. I say this as a fan of his who is temporarily disappointed in him.

Here is another quote: "Conservatives, for whom any glass is half full, have sold themselves short." Now I hate to point this out because I like reading his column, but I will anyway. He says a lot of other stuff in his usual sort of rambling way (like other WSJ writers he is given too many column inches to fill), but his column is basically saying what Smails said to Spaulding in the film Caddy Shack. And it is what the Repub establishment, the moneyed elites of which put all these dogs in the race, are all saying to us, which, as one blogger or commenter put it, is: (Smails to Spaulding) "You'll get nothing and like it".

In the PJM piece with a similar message, one commenter said that if we didn't vote for Two-gun McCain during this time of war we were committing "treason". Can you say, "Over the top"?

Fred, I'm still cleaning orange juice off my computer screen due to a comment you made on another thread. You need to place a warning of some kind just prior to those types of posts. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Whew...that was one of the best ever, my friend.

Temp, it seems I am becoming an engine of snarky comedy, who sees the comedy clubs and the brain pans of Boob, LOL, and Spart are half full, but am not an engine of idea formation.

Fred had me a few threads back with the Howard Dean impression of conservative congresscritters yelping at HIllary:

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Vince FOster!! Vince Foster!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

You guys will give me a big head...for a moment or two anyway, until you verbally kick my a-- for making some dumb mistake.
