First you have to assume Hillary gets the nomination, which despite Obama-mania is now all but a lock. She's forcing him to rely too much on the Black vote, which is just what she wanted to accomplish. She gets Hispanics overwhelming and the more Obama pursues the Black vote, the more he'll lose among middle-class whites. She wants to run against Jesse Jackson, not Martin Luther King. And Obama's future victory in South Carolina will make Obama look like exactly what he didn't want to be - the Black candidate in the race. The best he can hope for is a VP slot after Super Tuesday. The Democrat machine proves too powerful for Obama's rhetorical gifts. And at his age, he'll accept it and not fuel a black/white split within the Democrat Party.
Once we reach the General, she'll take away McCain's only real strength with his own words. He conveniently provided a video: "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran." They'll weave a narrative between his well-known temper and foreign policy, making him look like a loose cannon a war weary general electorate won't go near. This is already up at Democrats.org.
Temper, Temper: Immigration Outburst Shows Pressure Getting to McCain
The second item is distasteful, but it's already hit the media again via Newsweek and it needs be mentioned because it plays right into Hillary's wheelhouse. It will be used by Clinton, Inc., most likely through a surrogate and/or 527. If you think women are going overwhelmingly for Hillary in the primary, you ain't seen nothing, yet.
The Perot-McCain relationship goes back to McCain's five and a half years of captivity in Hanoi. When McCain's then-wife Carol was in a serious car accident, McCain's mother called Perot for help. "She asked me to send my people to Philadelphia to take care of the family," Perot says. Afterwards, McCain was grateful. "We loved him [Perot] for it," McCain told me in 2000.
Perot doesn't remember it that way. "After he came home, he walked with a limp, she [Carol McCain] walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona [Cindy McCain, his current wife] and the rest is history."
The third item is dismissing this spin from Patrick Hynes. The disaffection with McCain among the most loyal of the GOP base, conservatives, will suppress the vote enough to make winning the presidency an ocean too wide for McCain to swim. The Mac may indeed be back, unfortunately, the GOP is not. McCain will sink as Bob Dole II, not triumph like some returning General MacArthur wading through the surf.

Not to mention the fact that all Republicans are in trouble everywhere. Tom Davis decided not to try to run for the John Warner Senate seat in Virginia declaring, " No Republican can get elected dog catcher at this time". So Mark Warner will most likely win that seat as a Democrat.
I still think Rudy G. can run a real good race against Hillary.
And I think John McCain can also. An old white man against an old white woman. Bring it on.

If they are the three best reasons you can come up with why Hillary will beat McCain, then I'm booking my plans for next January when he becomes the next president. God forbid somebody have a temper against the enemies of the US. Oh I forgot, we're talking about the conservative taliban here so that must be bad. 2nd, a true conservative as yourself is going to be swayed by the man who brought us Bill Clinton. Most people have no idea who Ross Perot is and those who do realize his impact in 1992. But that isn't enough for the conservative taliban. Lastly McCain wants to distance himself from Ann Coulter, etc, well good for him. You people are insane and driven by irrational hate. Not of radical islam but of people who only agree with youc80-85 % of the time.
The conservative taliban movement is the most tone dead movement in history. It will igmore the fact that only RG and McCain have any appeal to the rest of America. Mainstream American sees George Bush as a radical conservative but the conservative movement sees him as a trator and is too consumed with hate to see this difference. If your ilk cut McCain to assure your purity, then you deserve the Taliban as your leaders.

One reason why John McCain can beat Hillary Clinton, he's likable.

The only way Hillary will win is if Iraq goes south.
Hillary's only attraction to the general election voters is Bill. I think those people will realize that she is too strong of a woman to let BC run the show.
But I really like Hillary's current "experience" sale to the voters. Hilarious.

In selecting your Presidential candidate, please reflect on the dire consequences of a docile retreat before a relatively small band of Islamic extremists; and, attempt to formulate your own opinion as to the most prudent course of action in the defense of our Nation. It might assist to consider the following scenario: the infiltration of a group of terrorists similar to the Atta cabal with a quantity of weaponized anthrax procured from a rogue state; the acquisition of a single crop-duster aircraft fitted with a dry-agent disseminator; and, the dispersal of that dangerous toxin over an American population center. The loss of American life would be catastrophic. -Or-, is it preferable to pre-empt such fanatics by destroying them on their home turf, such as Afghanistan and Iraq, before they secure the capacity to threaten our homeland? The latter is in fact a key element in current American strategy. Is it advisable to support any candidate who would reverse course and sacrifice the impressive gains against Islamofacists that young Americans have shed their precious blood to achieve? The fact that we have not experienced another 9/11 is not a by-chance occurrence. Further, it's critical to appreciate the pivotal role that our own border security plays in our "war against terrorism", keeping in mind that "Amnesty" is anathema to border security. A Nation without enforceable borders will not long survive as a Nation. Mitt Romney is exceedingly strong on each of these principles.

"Mainstream American sees George Bush as a radical conservative but the conservative movement sees him as a trator and is too consumed with hate to see this difference."
What? If GWB is a "radical", then why was he re-elected?!?! Ronald Reagan is arguably the most conservative President we've had in the past century, yet the populace would probably re-elect him AGAIN if he were reincarnated. It's stupid rhetorical BS like this that makes you liberal nutjobs completely incredible.

I know McCain will win this fall! It will be close but I know he will. It will also be a better year for the GOP than expected in the congressional races. Bill Clinton never got above 49% in a General election and neither will Hillary! The Dems aren't talking about any ideas at all. They'll ley another one get away from them and YES the Republicans will go to the polls and vote against Hillary. In a 2 way race it's McCain over Hillary or Obama by 2 or 3 points!

ROTFLMAO!
I noticed that the comments on this particular thread suddenly went silent after early February! I especially love how you matter-of-factly stated that Hillary's nomination was "all but a lock". BWAHAHAHA. Its true...all but a LOCKOUT. She cant win the nomination unless she cheats.
The question is, why did you assume that he would be seen as "The Black Candidate" in the race? He CANT be that because he is half white. Perhaps to most white people, he is black, but to black people he is half black. Its hard to communicate what Im saying about that issue, so you will have to trust me on that (I am bi-racial too). Looks like only two months after you started this thread, Obama pretty much has lock the lying, calculating Hillary Clinton out of the nomination she haughtily assumed was hers.
