Update: Hot Air has more.
The Romney camp is claiming to be playing in CA with paid media. A recent poll has him down by only 4 in the state. That's good news. He can carve out a good number of delegates there.
The game now is to strategically go after states, or parts of states in some cases, where you can get the most delegates (bang) for the buck. If he plays the game better than McCain in states that aren't winner take all, he can do well enough to force a state-by-state showdown going forward, despite what the press and conventional wisdom might say. And the longer McCain is pushed, the more likely he is to trip himself up with his mouth. Unfortunately, if I here "let's have some straight talk" a few more times from him, I'm going to puke.
As for the CW, there hasn't been anything conventional about this election, yet. Dare I say it? Keep hope alive!
LOS ANGELES - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney plans to run a "significant" level of television ads in California and other states that vote Tuesday in essentially a national primary, aides said Thursday, signaling a willingness to aggressively try to derail Republican front-runner John McCain.

My wife and I sent Mitt $200 right after he lost in Florida, hoping to help out in the Super Tuesday ad blitz. After last nights debate and with this decision to go for it, I'm sending another $400. If the conservatives out there really don't want McCain then put up the money...make it hurt people, Mitt is going to bat so let's support him!

Straight Talk McCain is not being straight with the American people any more. Someone needs to call him on this and do it far and loud. Mitt should have said, "I'm not quibbling with this guy, but I want you to know that I know he lied, and so do you. Do you want him to lie to you from the White House? This is NOT what America is about."
I am completely frustrated that the American public thinks it would be better to have another scandalous lying cheating man in the Whte House than someone who would tell the truth, and imagine Cindy as first wife. She doesn't even like politics. Ugh.
Call McCain on the issues, call him on the straight talk, and make him angry. When he's angry, then we see his true colors.
Also, could someone please arrange a one-on-one for Mitt and McCain before Tuesday? I want to hear McCain defend his open borders Hispanic Outreach man, and I want Mitt to keep pursuing McCain until he gives straight answers instead of dodging every question. There's no time for that iwth Huckabee tag teaming. Double ugh.

Mitt needs to make McCain uncomfortable and angry.
It would be fun to see that cranky old mudslinging grouch blow his top on national TV.
