Update: This is such a disaster. McCain is just wrong for conservatives and he won't even answer a question straight. Of course, all the MSM will parrot and people will buy is the straight talk BS. Clearly Romney is right on issues and much better informed. He is not, however, taking it to McCain at every opportunity - not that CNN provides many of them. This debate pretty much sucks.
Word from Hot Air that Romney hasn't committed to a large ad campaign in Feb 5 states is troubling. It isn't the signal he needs to send. But it's his money, I can't bitch about that. Wanna hear a twist? I wonder if the Republican establishment sees the writing on the wall in November and is more than happy to watch St. John go down in flames to finally shut him up.
In a major boost for John McCain, Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney signaled Wednesday he’s not ready to commit to a costly campaign in the states holding primaries and caucuses next week.
Several officials said that on the heels of a defeat in Tuesday’s Florida primary, Romney’s campaign was not attempting to purchase television advertising time in any of the states on the Super Tuesday calendar…
Officials familiar with Romney’s plans cautioned they could yet changes. They said that paradoxically, the Florida defeat had been followed with a particularly strong day of online fundraising. But they added that in discussions so far, the former Massachusetts governor had selected the least costly of a variety of options prepared for his review.
I suppose you can argue whether or not tonight's 8 PM on CNN debate is make or break for Mitt. It's certainly his last big free shot before Feb 5th. It's insulting that they are allowing the two useful idiots to hang around. But so it goes. The odds will be against Mitt with HuckaBS on stage. Let's see how he does.

Ok - I watched this debate. As an amused observer I have to say that I kind of feel bad for Romney. McCain was clearly lying. Yet another reason to enjoy this decrepit old fool get trounced in November.
