Reading around a bit, a light turnout seems to be the general consensus. This report from Fox.
3 to 6 inches of snow fell around Detroit overnight.
GOP officials say light turnout so far is in keeping with forecasts of about a million votes cast today in the republican primary.
In 2000 when John McCain won, 1.3 million votes were cast- 17 percent of McCain’s votes were from indies and dems.
Light turnout and weather this time could mean fewer non-GOP votes. That could be good news for Romney.
If polls are to be believed ALL the trend lines are in Romney’s direction…albeit within the margin of error.

Well I can't speak about the detroit area, however in Central Michigan, there is a high turnout, since I had to wait about 20 mins to cast my vote. (This of course was during my lunch hour, grrrr)lol
Yes there was snow last night, however, the roads are clear, according to my sister who lives in a northern suburb of Detroit, a city called Sterling Heights..and she stated where she votes, there seems to of been a high turnout.
So I don't understand where they are getting their reports from...
Besides we have another 5 hours or so to go, so wait until after 5 pm, when most people are getting out of work and heading to the polls!!

Light turnout = No one cares
Personally, I'm pulling for the cultist. That guy and his tall stories are a hoot!

Perhaps the light turnout is due to the fact that neither Hillary, Obama, or Ewdwards is present in the state today? Nah, must be the snow, which is very rare in the Great Lakes region - in January.

I would think a light turnout would hurt the GOP turnout, they still trend older no?

"I'm pulling for the cultist. That guy and his tall stories are a hoot!"
They are all cultists. And they all have tall stories.
...and they're all guys. Even, and especially, the one who claims not to be.
And, to a cynic like me, they're all a hoot.

That's pretty rude. I'm sure that the sheep that you share your home with that does stained glass is quite a looker.

Light turn-out at a primary that focuses on Republicans? I smell Democraticicicicic voter suppression. To the Bambenek-mobile!

"That's pretty rude."
I care not about 'rude'. I care about accuracy.
It was accurate.
"I'm sure that the sheep that you share your home with ... is quite a looker."
No sheep in the house. That'd be your fantasy.

Now that depends largely on what will happen when you (plural, implied) close your eyes for the very last time in this mortal life.
Speaking for a specific Jewish carpenter's son around whom a (perceived) cultic branch of YWHW-worship formed... if in fact He is correct and He is the only way, the only truth, and the only life by which we can receive redemption, then those of us who believe in Him shall not be ashamed.
But if the atheists are correct, then we who believe in Christ's atonement alone are the fools - yet we will likely have lived generally better lives for it.
Dunno about them thar other cults, but I'll bank on the guy who rose from the dead to eternal life. :)

Which one of the GOP cultists - er candidates - claims to not be a guy?

Really? By living a life that ridicules other lifestyles and religions?
But I'll just bet you run a mean soup kitchen.

chris/Boob, Moe, and Spart joining forces reminds me of an old movie with Clifton Webb (the Boob could play his part). As I recall it was called "Three Turds in a Fountain" or something like that.
Here it is: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047580/

With legs strong enough to leap to farflung conclusions, and the speed, dexterity and flexibility to contort and otherwise dodge the point, you have a wonderful opportunity to display these athletic talents in this summer's Olympics.
They're in China, one of the last bastions of the incompetent economics you love so well, and among the most successful implementation of it, to boot. Never mind that they're successful because they're redefining capitalism to be Socialism 2.0 ...
Go, enjoy. Stay if you like. I know we would.

Ah, there was a "point" in there. I'm sure it was very serious and reasoned.
Posted by: Totally Heterosexual Conservative | Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11:14 AM
No, it was dismissive.
If you can deliberately miss the point and advertise that you are doing so, then the very least I can do is dismiss you for it.
