Huckabee is basically admitting he isn't competitive in Florida. If he isn't competitive there, he has no chance of winning the presidency for the GOP. No matter, I suspect he's either after a VP slot, or delegates to become a power broker of sorts.
With Fred and Huck out in Fla, it's a big plus for Romney and a negative for McCain. Rudy and McCain are going to have to slug it out for the more moderate votes. And if Rudy has accomplished anything in recent months, it might be to have sealed some of them up. We'll see. And if Romney emerges as the last man standing on the Right, that could bleed additional support from McCain on that front, not that he has a lot of it, but he has some.
While the media focuses on the McCain/Giuliani head-to-head, Romney has a good chance of beating them both. Lest the McCain sympathizers start crying, Romney has been fighting two front battles from the start. It's only fair that McCain give it a whirl. But I suspect you won't like the results in the end. When it's over, don't be surprised if McCain drops to third.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Battling to stay competitive after his weekend loss in South Carolina, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is taking new steps to save money, including no longer scheduling planes and buses for journalists trying to cover his presidential campaign.
Huckabee said he will continue to campaign in Florida on a shoestring budget, but added that he may pull out of the state before its Jan. 29 Republican primary if his prospects look dim.

I just wish there was a conservative in this race. Crap, no one to vote for, just plenty of jerks to vote against.

Good Riddance when it comes to Huckabee

He isn't in the debate tomorrow night. Hard to believe he's staying in. He can't afford to pass up the free exposure.

I've not seen anything official about him not in the debate (I'll look on fox when I leave here), last I saw it was stated by his 'team' that it wasn't decided about the debate yet as he was still at the hospital with his mom.

Huck may be out of Florida, but he is still going to get a lot of delegates. If it's a brokered convention those delegates will be important. I'll vote for the KenDoll only if he is the last R standing. But I will do it over Hillary.

What I find really surprising is that anyone believes anything that comes out of Huckabee's mouth. He isn't deciding anything until he knows what Fred is doing. In fact in the weird reality that is his campaign, they believe i'm sure that Fred will lay his cards on the table if they tip their hand first. And then just watch how fast they come into funds at the last second to campaign in Florida. Don't trust a politician from Arkansas. Is everyone around here new or something??

I can't believe some people...Just exactly why do you not trust Huck? My goodness, he is the ONLY one who hasn't gone negative...He is the only one without a scandal hanging out there...he is the only one left who IS A TRUE CONSERVATIVE!!! Geesh, conservatism doesn't mean cowing down to the huge corporations...Remember Teddy Roosevelt...the "trust buster"...true conservative and progressive to boot...avid hunter...all around cool dude.
Your McCain is a crotchety old coot who probably can't remember his own name to save his life...and Romney is a spoiled little panty waste who should go party it up with the Osmonds.
HUCK is a facinating man, and his campaign is even moreso...Look how far he can stretch a buck...if that's not proof he can fix our economy what is?
McCain supporters (or should I say jock straps?)get all "ga-ga over his war record...well just how good of a soldier could he have been, HE GOT HIMSELF CAUGHT!!!
Wake up America...http://afamilyrightsemergency.blogspot.com/
