Hillary Pulls A Reverse Sister Souljah
Sort of a reverse Sister Souljah moment, as BET founder Robert Johnson on the stump with Hillary plays the drug card against Obama. It'll make news, which will cut right into one Democrat demographic Hillary captured in New Hampshire, one she desperately needs - white blue collar union types, otherwise known as Reagan Democrats with no love for BET. And plenty of Blacks, who have a high rate of church attendance, are likely to be unimpressed.
It's desperation time for Hillary. They found a Black surrogate to play the drug card and hopefully prevent more criticism for its being a racial attack. Still, I don't think it'll play, except perhaps on BET. And, honestly, how many BET fans are going to bail on Obama because he may have done a little coke back in the day?
Robert L. Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television, who is campaigning today in South Carolina with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton....
He then added: “And to me, as an African-American, I am frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues since Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood – and I won’t say what he was doing, but he said it in the book – when they have been involved.”
Let's call this what he means ... Uncle Tom.
Moments later, he added: “That kind of campaign behavior does not resonate with me, for a guy who says, ‘I want to be a reasonable, likable, Sidney Poitier ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.’ And I’m thinking, I’m thinking to myself, this ain’t a movie, Sidney. This is real life.”

What I fear most as a Democrat is that Hillary gets the nomination, the Republicans run a black person as VP, and the Republican ticket spends 50% of its time attacking the Clinton machine for its racist appeals during the primary season. On election day, Hillary gets the lowest black turnout for a Democratic nominee since 1965.

That incredibly unlikely scenario is what you "fear most"?

This whole thing is just too fun. Now we have the home of gangsta rap, that bastion of women's dignity and community service, talking crap aboput Obie doing a little snow maiden long ago. And did they really imply that he's an Uncle Tom? So soon?

So, does this mean that the GOP has a viable candidate. Didn't think so. Carry on, patriots.

I have said it before and I will say it again. This blue on blue friendly fire is fun to watch. I can see Hitlery in her desperation pulling out all the stops and using all the racial code words. She will win the nomination, but upset the black community so much they stay home on election day. It will be a great day for the GOP and the nation.

Johnson has since backed off of his "doing something in the neighborhood" quote quicker than Bob Kerry chickened out of the "Barack=Muslim" dance he did for Hillary in NYC. Now Johnson is explaining his comment to refer to the "community work" Barack did in Chicago. Johnson must have gotten some real heat from his community.
By the way, Bill Clinton is more black than Robert Johnson.

How could anyone not want to vote for such a classy lady?
She's like an American Thatcher.

Hillary Clinton (of whom I am no fan) made a good and meaningful point. For all of the important and inspirational work of Martin Luther King, Jr. without the ability to translate it into legislation it would have been meaningless.
That was her point -- that she is the friend in the White House to turn inspirational talk into policy. The fact that so many leftists are pretending they don't know what she meant is actually a joy for me as a Republican to watch. For years we have endured the lies of leftists pretending that we are speaking "in code" and intentionally twisting our words to "prove" our racism. It's great to see the Clintons, who used this trick repeatedly, being kicked in the ass by it.
Democrats are imploding because they are nothing but smoke and mirrors (ohh, mirrors, was I making a cocaine reference?). All they have is shameless attacks on the other. Glad to see Dems doing it to each other.

it's really stupid to suggest that any of the clinton's would minimize MLKing's efforts and achievements for racial equality.
