Edwards: Skewered, Then Disemboweled

While I'm not Bill Clinton, for a minute there, I could almost feel John Edward's pain, assuming his campaign doesn't shield him from this Krauthammer article, for fear he may take his own life.

There's losing. There's losing honorably. And then there's John Edwards.

That's only the beginning and it grows far worse. It's a damning, accurate indictment of an ambulance chasing lawyer now taken with chasing the presidency, though he doesn't have a prayer.

The word pathetic comes to mind. Though I imagine he would assure us, he's simply grown. Let's hope he never does. America doesn't need any more of the political plague that John Edwards represents.

Oh yeah. A FOX News pundit and noted neo-conservative goes after the most populist Democrat in the race by calling him a loser. Your party has really out done itself this time.

I can't wait for his next column about how Hillary Clinton is a whiny bitch and Barak Obama is just too young and Islamic to be taken seriously. But he might have to get Mitt Romney's underpants out of his mouth to do it, and I don't see that happening any time soon.

Krauthammer, who cheerled for Bush in '00 on the "let's not get into any more foreign wars" platform and again in '04 on the "let's make sure we don't fuck up Iraq by changing captains mid-ship" platform, has the balls to talk about inconsistency. The man who writes for the most chronically incorrect magazine in America - The Weekly Standard - has the gaul to chastise Edwards for his Iraq vote. The Mittens backer who's whitewashed Romney's flip-flopping on everything from abortion and gay rights to tax policy, gets after Edwards for flipping on NCLB and the Bankruptcy Bill.

Ye gods, Mr. Pot. You sure do have a lot to say about that kettle being black.

Really, Moe, you are just must keep better track of the news. Bill was making one of those speeches that are supposed to be about Hillery but are really about his favorite topic, himself. He said something very like this:

You know people have told me that lately I maybe have been a little too aggressive in my speeches defending Hillery from all these false attacks. When I was running I didn't care what my enemies said about me. But when people attack someone you love, you just naturally have to strike back.

If I was Edwards I could read that article no problem. Krauthammer has a long history of being wrong about most of the major issues of our time.
