The Atlanta Journal Constitution has endorsed Mitt Romney for President.
But McCain does not have management experience nor wide-ranging expertise in business and economics. The Republican who best exemplifies all the qualities needed in a president is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a successful CEO and the target of Huckabee's populist broadlines.
Romney flatly rejects that sort of rhetoric.
"I just don't think that it's ever been successful to play against the employer," Romney said in a phone interview with the AJC editorial board. "I don't think you help the wage-earner by attacking the wage-payer and I just don't think it settles well with Republican voters" — a point also made by Sadie Fields, who chairs the Georgia Christian Alliance. "There's nothing wrong with making money," she said. "People who make money typically tend to know how to help you keep more of your money," she said.
For Republicans, it's time to be realistic.
And the reality is that the next president could be handed a Congress controlled by Democrats, as George W. Bush was in 2006. That demands a leader with experience in working with the opposition party.

That demands a leader with experience in caving in to the opposition party.

That describes Mitt to a tee, Fred. And most of these other RINOs running for President as well, if not all of them. It sucks.

Prepare for life under socialism, lads. It's a-coming, and there isn't a damned thing we can do about it.
The MSM, George Soros, the Skull-and-Boners, and the liberal wings of both parties in this nation have America's politics on lock-down.

As much as I prefer Mitt to Rudy, Huck or Crazy Cousin John, the AJC has zero credibility with Georgia conservatives.
People down home call it the "Atlanta Urinal Constipation." It's a laughably liberal rag, and anyone seeking votes from Georgia conservatives should be advised that being hated by the AJC is much better than their endorsement. But it's an open primary, so maybe there's some crossover value involved. Before Election Day in November, the AJC will endorse the Democrat.
