h/t HotAir headlines for this:
Republicans in Florida confirm that ex-AR Gov. Mike Huckabee will be endorsed Monday by Marco Rubio, the charismatic speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.
Rubio, who has gubernatorial and national ambitions, was the driving force behind the move to change Florida's primary date to Jan. 29.
As I recently noted, based upon some polling and Rudy's basic strategy, Florida is the state to watch. Given the above endorsement, Rudy can't afford to give Huck a pass. It looks like all the knives will have to come out now. And I'm not sure Huckabee has the campaign apparatus behind him to defend himself, even if he could. He may be the anti-Fred - jumped in late and had the charisma to capitalize, but not the organization to back it up. Maybe he can get there, but it's going to be an interesting month for him, if nothing else.

I agree that Florida is a state to watch. Further, one should watch who Governor Crist endorses…That will probably be a kiss of death, given the current opinion of our erstwhile governor here in the middle of the State, and I suspect elsewhere.

Amen, Phil. Crist has turned out to be a supreme jerk. If they are smart, the Florida Repub leaders will distance themselves from Crist or get ready to loose the conservative vote in the next state elections.
