Sadly, this isn't really much of a surprise. Many positions the Democrats have taken over the last several years are based on nothing more than partisan gain:
In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.
Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said. . . .
"In fairness, the environment was different then because we were closer to Sept. 11 and people were still in a panic," said one U.S. official present during the early briefings. "But there was no objecting, no hand-wringing. The attitude was, 'We don't care what you do to those guys as long as you get the information you need to protect the American people.' "
Typical Democrats maneuvering - they were for it, before they were against it - and now only want to blame Bush. They have no guiding principles, only pure political gain.

Tsk, tsk. Is there no shame amongst our noble Dhimmicrat leaders...?
Are they waterboarding torturers along with the rest of us 'necks?
Poor liberals... they must be beside themselves with grief since Rep. Nanny Pelalugosi from San Fransicko had embraced the same positions as the patriots and troops they hate and despise.
Imagane that - hypocrisy and deceit for political gain among the dhimmicrats!

"Rep. Nanny Pelalugosi from San Fransicko had embraced the same positions as the patriots and troops they hate and despise."
So much humor in 1 sentence. Hate AND despise, eh? No matter patriot. I see that your God has decided to kill off some of his wicked creations in Colorado today. You must be very happy.

Avoid the issue, Bob does.

Indeed he does.
His hatred for God is also apprarent, in that he doesn't realize that ALL men and women are sinners, and will die from this earth as a result of sin.
"Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4, KJV)
AND
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23, KJV)
AND
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23, KJV)
In fact, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked:
"Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"
"For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, (REPENT) and live ye."
(Ezekiel 18:23,32 - KJV)
What say you, Bob?
God will not take pleasure in your death, though you and I both deserve it for being wretched sinners before the Lord.
Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the lover and Saviour of our souls who was savagely killed and died for our sins... and rose again on the third day that we should have eternal life.
What say you, Bob? Shall you escape a certain death and judgment unto an eternity in fiery Hell - or will you grab the nail-pierced Hand of the Most Holy Son of God who loves you?
