John Edwards And Rielle Hunter, Or Andrew Young?
Looks to me like denials are all anyone is going to get.
The NATIONAL ENQUIRER's political bombshell comes just weeks after Edwards emphatically denied having an affair with Rielle Hunter, who formerly worked on his campaign.
But The ENQUIRER has now confirmed not only that Rielle is pregnant, but she is also living in Chapel Hill, N.C. in a gated community, just a few streets away from Andrew Young, who has been a key official in Edwards' campaign.
Young has been in charge of looking after Hunter, according to sources, and she has been careful to stay out of sight during Edwards' campaign. A former Director of Operations for Edwards' campaign, Young's last official position with the campaign was North Carolina Finance Director.
He left that job about a month ago — nearly the same time Rielle relocated from the New Jersey area to Chapel Hill.
In a bizarre twist, Young, a 41-year-old married man with young children, now claims HE is the father of Reille's baby.
But others are skeptical about his claim and talk of a political cover up is heating up.
Reille, when contacted in person by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, denied that she was Reille Hunter. Later, she hired a lawyer and issued a statement, saying that Young is the father.
But a source close to the 43-year-old divorcee says Rielle has told a far different story privately.
"Rielle told me she had a secret affair with Edwards. When she found out that she was pregnant she said he was the father."

Well, that is quite the punishment - being stuck with that for the rest of your life.

John Edwards still has one hurdle to cross. I predict that the MSM will go after the John Edwards - Rielle Hunter love affair story ONLY if he looks to be the nominee.
The MSM would prefer to just ignore any sex scandal of a politician (Democrat, that is), but they may have to cover the story when Ms. Hunter puts John Edwards on the birth certificate as the father. Under some state laws, it's the birth certificate that counts for child support, if the "birth father" does not contest it.
Once Rielle Hunter determines that it would be much easier to get child support if John Edwards is listed on the birth certificate, I think that Ms. Hunter will let the story out. She knows about John Edwards' fortune and she want it!!
So, what's this mean? It's my opinion that Rielle Hunter's life could be in danger. John Edwards would do anything to shut her up (and to prevent that baby from being born.) God help her.

Who is David Perel? John Edwards knows.
Mr. Perel is the courageous man who is standing up to the lies and distortion of John Edwards and making the case that, at the very very very minumum, that the former coke head TOLD her FRIENDS that she BELIEVES that she is carrying JOHN EDWARD's BABY. Whether it's his or not is not the point.
And, He ain't backing Down!!! He stands by his story that John Edwards is a cheater and that his "love child" is on the way.
In the hierarchy of American tabloids, The National Enquirer, based in Boca Raton, Fla., is considered the most respectable. It boasts the largest newspaper circulation in the country at nearly 3 million. Editor-in-chief David Perel majored in English at the University of Maryland, went to work for the Washington Post and took a year off to travel. He began his career with the Enquirer as a reporter 19 years ago. He is married, with three children and a rabbit.
He's the messenger. So vette him. So John Edwards can join the group of:
Gary Hart, Dick Morris, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Arnold Schwartneggar, and the long list of cheaters that only the tabloids have the courage to out!

Just do a web search to confirm: the National Enquirer is owned by a former Bill Clinton administration official, Roger Altman. Altman was former Deputy Treasury Secretary and leads Hillary Clinton's team of economic advisors. Altman's company, American Media, owns three of the leading tabloid newspapers.
Will Altman go the way of Shaheen? Or, does Clinton have any ethics left?

This "incident" appears to be a clever move on the part of the Edwards camp to snare the pro-life vote! Think about it - a fair skinned, blue eyed love child that wasn't aborted! Lets think positive here!

if they can prove this, he's toast, done, buried. he wasn't going to win anyway, but if this is his kid, that's it. geez. his other younger kids with elizabeth aren't that old. so they weren't completely estranged. but now...she should quit the campaign since after her death, he'll shack up with this blonde bimbo born again christian anyway.

how old is the story?
Ann coulter knew about it MONTHS ago...
Timing is everything.

Dec 13-wsj-ron burkle and bill clinton(publisher of the NE) 'announce' they are breaking ties.
Dec 18-bloomberg-financial ties between burkle and clinton are larger than thought in caymans.
Dec 18-the edwards story breaks.
Throw in the Clinton interview this week-"Hillary would need a 'miracle' to win iowa." Did Clinton make a gaffe, or start sandbagging for her victory?(This is a former lawyer, who is capable of requesting a definition of 'is'...)
The race between clinton and edwards is centered around the 'caucus' style format. If edwards is in front, he gets the lion's share of the hrc caucus. If hrc is ahead of edwards, she will garner his voters-giving her a commnading lead and finish. Edwards largest block is feamles voters, violating the mark penn belief that hillary would dominate the demographic.

I would lay money that this, and the hit Obama took last week in the same rag, are both Clinton hits. Yesterday, the news broke that Edwards is ahead in Iowa, and this trash "breaks" within hours. Please. Voters are not dumb enough to fall for this crap. Oh, and, it makes perfect sense that a former employee of the Edwards campaign, who has a wife a children, would "take the fall" for his FORMER employer. That makes sense. Right. When are the tales of bribes and payoffs coming?? You know, DNA is a remarkable thing. It wouldn't make sense to lie about this when this child will be born before the primaries are done. Does anyone actually THINK when they write this garbage?

John Edwards will win the nomination and the Presidency.
This is th national Enquirer, folks. The next headline is that the child is actually Bat Boy and was fathered by 89 year old Jack Kennedy, who has been in hiding in Area 61 since LBJ tried to kill him with Castro's rifle.

If this is a hit from the Clinton campaign then their war machine is slipping.
Everyone knows Hillary, so Edwards supporters have already made a decision that she is not the right candidate.
If this story had come out while the media reports were glowing about Hillary, and before Bill was all over the place telling easily refutable lies that would be one thing...but as it is her momentum and press are going south.
I think the lions share of Edwards' voters will go to the likable guy with momentum...Obama.
Only time will tell.

Let me see, hrc is losing momentum...
Quick fix is to get women and white voters...
Who has the most?
John Edwards. This story was sat upon by clintonistas-anticipating edwards to be in second place, with obama a distant third. This was supposed to be the crushing blow that sealed the deal for hrc, but now they just need demographics to hold onto a sinking ship.
The "I'm likable campaign" for hrc was as successful as the maginot line.
Obama is next...a week before super tuesday, same set-up, and same source. Even if everyone cries fowl, she remains the last 'man' standing.
Maybe instead of his standard 'two americas' speech, Edwards can give the 'two vaginas' apology.

"The first time I saw Edwards on TV and looked at his eyes, back in 2004, I knew he was sexually promiscuous."
That's hilarious. At least Bush was in the same room when he looked into Putin's soul.
Ask Senator David Vitter and Senator Larry Craig whether or not sex scandals are passe'. If you're a straight white male that regularly frequents prostitutes, the answer would seem to be yes.

The first time I saw Edwards on TV and looked at his eyes I expected him to break into song.

A) I'm not the least bit surprised. The first time I saw Edwards on TV and looked at his eyes, back in 2004, I knew he was sexually promiscuous. The eyes give it away.
B) It will be instructive to see whether he survives the exposure, given Clinton's survival of the Gennifer Flowers revelation. It will resolve my question, "Has sex scandal become passe', or were the Clintons just better at diverting public attention than anyone else?" I'm betting on the latter.
