I'm posting a screencap taken directly from the youtube video linked here. I didn't alter it at all. I want to be clear about this, it is the top of the "bookshelf" and not the actual cross. So what's missing? It's taken from near the very end of the ad. The white arrow on the right points out the gap. They either had to manage the light source to ceate the cross imagery, or that "bookshelf" doesn't go all the way across. And it lines up with the actual cross image. Look at it and watch the ad. If there wasn't some manipulation, there's no way that gap exists imo. The left arrow is the edge of the "bookshelf." That should be where the white coming across should end. It doesn't connect. Seems weird.

I wonder how much photo shop it took to make this cross show up??

You've got to be kidding. You have just got to be kidding, right?
This is a joke, right?

Christian Derangement Syndrome...
You're acting like a one man Huckabee truther.

So... a politician has created a television ad in which he embeds symbols he wants associated with his campaign.
This is newsworthy...why, exactly?
WHO. BLOODY. CARES?

Are you a Christian having trouble getting on Dan Riehl's blog? Buy one of our nifty Bot-Killers and you can go anywhere on the Innernet - even to those rabid anti-Huckabee sites. Call now and you can double our offer but you have to pay separate H & S.

I don't have a problem with a cross in a camapaign commercial. However he should own it. 'Yeah we did that - so what'. That kind of thing. The deception is what I have a problem with. The ability to deceive doesn't have boundries - especially when a pastor is attempting to deceive about putting a cross in a commercial. Where will this ability show it's head again?
As far as the doctoring goes - they did it, but it was the end of the video. The cross had already been displayed prominately. I have no idea why they did it. Much more doctoring occured in designing this set and writing the spin.

Heh. Well, Mr. Hayes... I'm not that worried about the Huckster, but it sure would be nice to have more than one post out of thirty not get filtered.

Hey Mr. Mayes,
How did you get to be so sought after as a pitchman? I don't believe a word you say and I have never bought one of your products. Everytime I hear your screeching, shrill, high pitched voice come though my TV speakers I turn the channel. I can't be alone. So I wonder how have you gotten to be so well known?

It's a frackin' bookshelf. Morphing it into something else seems nutty.

Hypocritical denier of the OBVIOUS. Huckabee is the epitomy of BLATANT untrustworthiness with his denial of even noticing this utterly contrived cross.
How can he be trusted to run a government?

This not-so-subliminal image of the cross was very deliberate. This guy is like McCarthy, Hitler & George Wallace trying to pass himself off like a boyscout leader.... This guy could actually end up being worse the GW Bush....

Let's be really honest here, folks -- unlike Gov. Huckabeast.
The only way to get that bookshelf (I thought it was a window lattice, but the same argument applies) to appear lit that way is to focus a light source on it. Otherwise the tree would have been equally well-lit.
The bigger issue is that Huckabeast can't bring himself to admit that the lighting was intentional.
