In an article entitled Huckicide, Rich Lowry goes through all the reasons why a Huckabee candidacy would be suicide for the GOP. Read it here. He's correct but the caution is most likely not warranted.
After reading Lowry's piece, click over to Real Clear Politics Polls. Don't just look at the top numbers and averages, click all polls as you go from the national race and through the top few states. The first thing you'll see, best seen in each graph, is that Huckabee's tremendous rise has started to flatten.
The other thing to note is that he picked off some points here and there from most of the candidates. His one solid debate and all the buzz gathered up a scattering of soft support. All this happened during one week when his press had all been good. As both he and his weaknesses have started to show when the media started to really look at him, that hasn't quite been true.
Huckabee has nowhere to go but down and he will. He'll be lucky to win Iowa, though he may. But by the time we're done with New Hampshire, the country will be done with Huckabee, too.

Man, you'll grab onto anything for hope. OF COURSE his numbers are topping off, HOW MUCH HIGHER CAN HE GO? He can't take everybody's votes! But that doesnt mean necessarily that he's going DOWN.
There is no evidence of that.
The anti-Huckabee blog swarm has been alive for at least two weeks now and his numbers are still high. In fact, it looks like he will win out of IA-NH-SC, he will win TWO of the THREE. And no one who's one two of those three has gone on to lose the nomination. Ha ha

Jesus wants him to be the nominee.
His critics dont stand a chance.

The Christian right (and other fed up conservatives) are supporting
Mike Huckabee, but the right’s pundits are not flocking to support
him, and many of them are actually trying to derail him. Case in point:
Rush's Hit-Piece on Huckabee (stick with it, audio of Rush)

Something is very very very very wrong with this picture. Bottom line:
The best candidate for the Republican nomination is Huckabee.
