As someone else somewhere posted today, there goes the Log Cabin vote:
Asked if he thinks homosexuality is sinful, he said, “Well I believe it would be -- just like lying is sinful and stealing is sinful. There are a lot of things that are sinful. It doesn't mean that a person is a horrible person. It means that they engage in behavior that is outside the norms of those boundaries of our traditional view of what's right and what's wrong.

Wonder what he would think of gay illegal immigrants.

"Gypsies, Homos, Liars And Thieves"
Hey, wasn't that a Cher song way back when?
o/ Gypsies, Homos, Liars and Thieves
we'd hear if from the people of the town they'd call us
Gypsies, Homos, Liars and Thieves
But every time, the sun'd go down, they'd lay their money down /o

Wow, Dan, you're really piling it on the Huckster. I guess you and chris/Boob won't be supporting Huckelberry for President.

Now common, Temp. This is a news story. You should be more concerned about things like those described here: http://pajamasmedia.com/xpress/rogerkimball/2007/12/08/libel_tourism_coming_soon_to_a.php

Who gives a rodent's hindquarters what the Log Cabin Republicans do? They marginalized themselves quite thoroughly in '04. I doubt the national party even returns their phone calls anymore...

I'm kinda surprised that Dan hasn't posted a set of buttons and "donate now" links to Mitt's campaign website already, although it might be wise to wait until after Iowa and Florida, among the other early primaries pan out.
IMHO, both Huck and Mitt getting the nom would not be a good idea. This will have the effect of either marginalizing or rifting either the Christians (Mitt wins) or the secularists/moderates (Huck wins) forks of the GOP, possibly rifting them into a new third party - and ensuring a Democrat one-party government for at least the next generation.
That is why we who value conservatism need to set the thorny issues of religion in particular, and flip-slops in general aside, and look to the true conservative in the pack who IS NOT campaigning on his religion or any other divisive element within the GOP, but will stick to his guns and REDUCE government spending, REDUCE taxes, and REDUCE federal government interference in state and local and personal affairs.
That is why I'll stick with the consistent conservative - Fred Dalton Thompson.

seekeronos, many evangelicals would gladly support Fred, if he would just accept our support. He doesn't act as if he wants the nomination, as he is not campaigning hard, or performing well in the debates.
The money men in the Republican Party have insulted Christians, especially evangelicals, and act as if they can win on secular issues, which they can't. They've become enamored with the power of money, and think they can win by tossing Christians aside. And frankly, I never knew Republicans to be so concerned about gays and liberal social issues as they are in this election. I don't think it matters who the Republicans put out there, a Democrat is going to win.
The arrogance displayed by these so-called secular Republicans is getting on my last nerve.
